How does this work for Arcade games, these are smaller files so there should be enough room for multiple games. Any help?

Hi there.
I feel kind of sheepish having to ask questions on an idiot proof guide but here we go.
Firstly the place where i download my games from , just has the rar files and when unpacked they just give me an iso file.
Now im sure that this is a part of my problem,.
Next thing, i flashed my benq drive with the 360_Modification_Disc_v1.6_Revision_2.zip and i thought it all went well, said success across teh board, used the exact model sata card, everything.
I burned Battlefield_Bad_Company_2_NTSC_XBOX360-CCCLX on the slowest speed i could, (which was 4x) on traxdata 8x certified dvd+r dl
I did however burn with ashampoo burning studio 9 as i only had the iso and not the .dvd as i read in the guide.
The disk burned fine, all up to 100%, ejected successfully, i put in my xbox and it now loads to the xbox white screen.
Its only my first disk i burned , so i know i have probably done a load wrong , but a point into the direction where im bieng an idiot would be very much apreciated.
Many thanks.!!
*EDIT*
I have just downloaded and burned another copy using image burn.
here is my post plog from there

From the log i am going to assume that the media is , well, bad, (i was thinking of other words.
also stealth patching, is this just for online games????
and finally, and really a wallet crunching question, do all games have to go on a dual layer disk???
isnt there a game that i can see if i can get from someone that will fit on a normal dvd ???
Many thanks for your advice and patience with stupid questions like this.

The "latest" mod to him might not be the latest at all. You will have to ask him what he modded it with.

Try updating your burner's firmware. The firmware you currently have is 3 years old. SB02 is the latest: -
http://www.samsungodd.com/eng/Firmware/F...ct_code=&os_no=
If that doesn't help, then this could be the problem: -
Quote: W 21:47:01 Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
Uninstall Daemon Tools (or whatever program you have installed that uses the SPTD driver) and then Google for the SPTD uninstaller, run that, reboot and try burning a disc again. If that turns out to be the problem, you can use an alternative to Daemon Tools such as Virtual CloneDrive, which doesn't install the SPTD driver.

Hey, the guide is great.
I burned the disc correctly, but Im getting a "Play CD" in my xbox 360 when I pop the disc in.
Details:
1. Latest firmware cuz other games like Assassins Creed 2 (burned on a crappy DVD+R DL) works perfectly. I didnt burn it, somebody else did.
2. Using a TS-L633M dvd drive on a v. new HP laptop.
3. Using Imation discs, but I guess that shouldnt be a problem. Refer 1.
4. I added the layer break manually, then burned with the .dvd disc.
Help?

I once burned GoW on an old Pioneer DVD drive on a relatively old laptop. It worked fine. I used Sony discs at that time tho.
I guess I should try changing the discs.
Btw, Im trying to burn ME2. Also, now im giving it another shot after running the ISO through ABGX.

Pioneer drives are normally good drives anyway.
Try changing the discs to a better brand, if that doesn't work you know it's your burner ;)

Ndarkness very nicely done. I have followed your instructions to the T and am still having problems. Using good DL discs and my DVD burner burns DVD+R DL and my Xbox i'd upto date with version 1.6. Now I have been doing a lot of reading and still haven't figured out why my burns aren't working. I have read about wave 4 games and needing a boot disc( activation.iso) and have tried that and have had successful burns after following the idiot proof instructions any suggestions? Thanks

Hey sicdue, it's me.
I just checked that ALL the dvds I had burned work on another modded 360! It means that my writer is burning the discs fine. But I patched one of the discs to patch 2 as well, but it still didn't work on my 360. Like, I said AC2 worked on my 360, but a patched ME2 didn't.
Any ideas, what could be the problem now?

Ive flashed my samsung 360 drive with the latest ixtreme usb package, had the setup tell me the hack was successful, and i can play original copies of games on it still, but when i place my burn/backups into the dvd drive, the xbox360 reads them as movies, and sends me to the 'play-pause-fastforward-rewind' screen.
I've tried using 4 different games(viking street fighter army of two bayonetta), in four different programs(poweriso imgburn clonecd gameburner), at four different burn speeds (1x 2.4x 3x 4x).
What is the cause of this/what am i doing wrong/what did i miss?

That sounds like you have an outdated firmware, maybe 1.51 or 1.6.
To play recent games you'll need 1.61 or LT 1:1 if it's available for you drive.
