Switched it off and when turned it back on only fta channels working.
C-line is fine, and cccam 2.1.4 installed. Network test is all green. Cannot figure out what has changed. cline working fine in dm500. Anybody any suggestions?
make sure cccam 214 is set as the default
I have changed the cccam a few times trying to fix the problem, even with cccam set as 2.1.4 I am no getting channels. this has me beaten for about 7 hours now.
what is the image you are using

enigma2 experimental 07.21.2010, thats from the info, it was the image that came on the box, reason I have not changed is that it was working last night.

You may need to restart CAM, when you installed Cccam 2.14 you should have set it as default
cam so when box reboots Cccam will restart automatically

Cam 2.14 is the default, it is started after each reboot, have checked the cline 20 times. all seems to be ok. added the cccam info plugin and it isnt picking up any client info, should it be?

Yes it should show you that server is on line... so in ccam info go to servers and see is he on line it will be green if is or red if not and if you cant see your server will then go back and check cline

It's a strange one. C-line works fine on DM500, worked fine on DM800 until powered off
Check are there any settings on DM500 different to DM800. There are settings in EXPERT SETUP
that may need to be ticked to enable them on re-boot. Also check COMMUNICATION SETUP in both
boxes are same

Would say PIO or Fintanni will help you on this. Presume Cccam/conf is in var/etc. and c-line
(#) has been deleted & no unwanted symbols are in c-line. In Comm set-up on boxes are both set
to DHCP or static IP-addresses & are all other settings & values same; port 21,Netw-enabled etc

DHCP enabled for both, and port settings etc appear the same. CCcam.cfg is edited and no symbols in line 80, only the cline I was given and am currently using in the dm500. I just cant figure this out. Why it would work one night and not the following.

just a thought are you trying to use both boxes at once make sure your dm500 is disconnected from ur router as i dont think ur c line will be able to reshare

younglad before you attempt to reflash the box you need to find out what sim and bootloader the box is ,newer clones are usually sim 2.01 and (BL76) bootloader76 .power the box off and power it back on again and look at the little lcd screen and it should display the boxes sim and bootloader version. as dan says if you got the c line from a payserver you wont be able to use it on the dm500 and the dm800 at the same time ,as he said try disconnecting the dm500s from your router and try the dm800 again to see if it makes a difference.

Say you might have hit the nail on the head, Dan. I just presumed he was swapping the boxes
but would make sense if both boxes are connected to router c-line can not be re-shared unless
server enables it so

Am really annoyed here now. I flashed box with dream elite e2 image and uploaded cccam2.2.1. I aslo completely disconnected dm500 as is was on edimax router with battery so thought it may have been the issue. Changed cline. Still only FTA channels.

Sure you are vexed, don't let it get to you. I wouldn't have been so quick to load new image.
Anyway I'm sure some of the boys here will help you out. Did you reboot box & router after
entering c-line in new cam/cfg

if your only using a c line from a payserver all you need is to put the c line on either line 80 in the original cccam.cfg or on any free line in cccam.cfg (just delete the # symbol at the start of the line). you dont need to to edit clock frequency or need a boxkey.

a boxkey is only needed to unlock the movies and sports channels with your sly card in the dreambox (all other channels will open with just cccam 2.1.3),you also dont need to alter the smart card clock frequency . in the old days older versions of sly cards overheated in a dreambox (hence the need to set the clock frequency) its not needed with the latest sly card and cccam 2.1.3.

if you want to share your card to a second box in your home (or another house )delete the # symbol at the start of SERVER LISTEN PORT:12000 (if you subscription includes the sports/movies )delete the # symbol athe start of BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx (replace the xx with your boxkey) and put an f line (for each client in the cccam.cfg for each person sharing ) and give your c line to each client to put in their box.

also if you want to share your own sly card (to a second box in your home ) or with a box in another house you will need atleast cccam 2.1.3 ,but if your only using a c line from a payserver / or a mate any recent version of cccam will suffice.
