hey slunk34;
I think your problem is how you are recording the PS2 games. I've used DVD Decrypter for over a year, and that is the ONLY, Yes!, ONLY program I use to back-up my PS2 Games! I think this little tutorial will help you understand DVD Decrypter allot better using ISO and File Modes, I've used ISO Mode for PS2 games and File Mode for DVD Movies, here's the link!http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvd-decrypter.php
I use the Decrypter program for DVD Movies and It's really simple especially since it's free! :) I don't think it's your DVD drive or DVD medias. I've used a HP dvd300i DVD+R 4x drive with Memorex, Imation, Fugi, Ritek DVD's for over a year and have backed-up over 30 PS2 games (because of my boys)with no coaster games as of Yet burning at 4x (knock on wood)! If you have any other questions let me know, Good Luck and happy Back-Ups! :)

hey stunn611;
Total cost of Flip-top is $49.99. That's with SM CD 3.0 and DVD 2.0 disks and Flip Top combo, "Except for v9 and v10 PS2's you need SM CD 3.2 and that's a different set". They have arrived in 3-4 days Priority Mail! The website I've always used is http://www.tisinc99.com/ps2swmabocdv.html
I have bought many (10+) for my friends who also have children and I am confident with Treasure Island, But that's just Me! If you've got any questions; Shoot!

It is working now and the ps2cover.com sells the flip top cover and Swap Magic Set for 39.75 where the http://www.fliptopcover.com sells them for $30.95 for the Flip Top Cover and Version 3.2 Swap Magic Disc combo deal. Also just the Flip Top Cover is $15.95 instead of $19.95 ps2cover.com. There slide card and Swap magic is 26.95 where ps2cover.com is $34.75 and there breaker pro disc is $16.95 were ps2cover.com is $20. Also http://www.fliptopcover.com can drop ship any of there items so that you can resell them without any of your money up front and you don't have to ship then. You just set up a web site and charge more, like say the price the ps2cover.com site charges so you can compete with them and simply place a order on http://www.fliptopcover.com and put your customer name in the ship to and your name in the bill to section of the shopping cart. You can also request to have your address as the return address and not have a receipt sent with the order then it looks like you shipped it to your customer. You simply send your customer a on-line receipt of yours. You can take orders with credit card by using www.paypal.com so you don't even have to setup a merchant account. So this way it is super easy to setup your own web site and yet still compete with many of the sites out there because of the low prices that http://www.fliptopcover.com sells at. Once you save up some of the profit you make then you can buy at even lower prices by getting quantity wholesale prices really cheap. Then make more profit or even sell at lower prices then ps2cover.com or other sites and really compete well with them.

Also they have now the brand new Push Button Flip Top Covers that just came out that come in Black, or you can get the Top and Bottom sets in Translucent Blue, Red, Green and Yellow and also totally awesome looking Clear case. They also now sell a case that does not have the lid for systems that have mod chips in them. You can get a PlayStation 2 system with a pre wired in Messiah 2 Mod Chip for $219 wholesale and keep it or turn around and sell it for up to $299 or more. Even comes with the standard warranty of 90 days.

Here are some pictures of the new Push Button Flip Top Covers that universally work with version 4-10 and come with the memory doors so you don't even have to install the doors and then the Version 9 and 10 will have doors, not like the old covers for version 9 and 10 where the memory doors did not fit from the standard case.

They have standard Black with just the Top Cover or the Bottom and Top Cover in Clear or the translucent colors of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow for a totally custom look!

http://www.fliptopcover.com is a redirection to the Gamming Console page. Also there was other redirection links of http://www.swapmagicdiscs.com and http://www.fliptopcase.com .

I ordered the several cases transparent "blue" and solid "black" from ps2cover.com. here are my comments>

1. It shipped from HongKong (PO Box Mong kok...) it takes a while to get here in USA, one the the hinge cover is cracks, Its' a hasstle to return it and take a while so I won't bother to go through this. since I bought extra cases just in case.

2. The Transparent "Blue" fit only v4-v8, will not fit (v9-v10 without manually modified by hand) the color is very bad, it's dark color, not a really Blue, the quality of plastic is not really great, not sturdy, soft. After I Installed and start testing it. It make a loud noise because,I found out that there is a flaw design of this cover, the housing that hold the white disc is shorter than any other flip top. I am experienced installer.

3. The black is ok, fit, the quality plastic is not sturdy again, I like the hinge, it looks kind of weird that the lid is longer all the way to the back,...

4. Memory doors does not fit well, to me that is minor issue. since you use the memory card to cover it up.

5. and the push button, it's not really working , you have to use your fingers to lift up, (because the spring is took weak to open up, because of the maget from the head) the nice is the lid hold the lid to stay up.

I bough about 15 covers from different sites, currently there 3 manufacturers make 3 different fliptop, before there are 4 companies but this site closed while ago magiccase.com

I am not recommended buy fliptop from this ps2cover.com, I like to hear feedback if you purchase from ps2cover.com

For now I am recommended buy the original solid colors from USA sites if you located in USA, you can search on the net many sites sell this.

I am not sure about the NEW Transparent cases colors BLUE, RED, YELLOW, GREEN, CLEAR. I will check it out at http://ps2magic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1053

Everyone seems to love these flip tops. Im convinced I should buy one over a mod chip. I didn't read every single message posted in this thread, but my question is:

What are the cons of the flip-tops?
(besides the price, inconvience of having to swap)

Yes, the bottom case is very easy to install. In my case I bought a baby blue cover for my friends PS2 and had no trouble except the white magnet disk would make noise, but easy fix, just sand it with sand paper while PS2 is turn on till you don't hear any more noise, works like a charm and only too 5 more minutes that usuall install. I have over 20+ Flip Top consols under my belt so trust me! It is very easy to install the bottom case, just a couple of screws!

replacing the bottom case is very easy.

all you do is when you have it so you can see the fan, and controller ports (just after you take the top off) unscrew the 4 screws on the fan, and controller port flip the console over and lift the bottom off and replace it.
