basically im using a swap magic v3.6 on a non modded ps2 v1, and when i load up the game, it has an incredibly slow loading time, and then it eventually freezes altogether. i made the iso when i still had the game, and apparently, its not working.. =\\

does media make that big a difference? i use tdk dvd-r's and i think tokijin mentioned it, but i don't have problems with some other games that i back-uped with em, so im sorta dumbfounded. btw, where can i find verbatim dvd-r's cheap? cause i couldn't find em at fry's electronics.. =\

Many newbies dont think twice about media and by Memorex or Imation, then wonder why there backups dont work 6 months down the line. Cant stress this enough, GOOD MEDIA MEANS EVERYTHING. Tokijin is the man in the ps2 forums, so if there is one person you can ever trust for good advice its him. Throw the crap media in the fireplace, and get some Taiyo's. You cant get 100 Taiyo's at supermediastore for like $25, so you have no excuse not to buy them.

Erm, my dvd-writer only writes on DVD+RW. I have Memorex DVD+ReWritable disks that go from 1x-4x speed. I was wondering if anyone knows whether dvd+rw's work or not and if so what speed is advised.
Thnx.
P.S. This forum freakin rocks!

Install a modchip, or get swap magic with a fliptop, magic keys, or slide card. A burnt game won't play without a mod to boot it with!
Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Ace1: Are there only those two solutions? Installing a mod chip or get a swap magic?
