yeah i agree the shortage of consoles give them free advertising across all news broadcasts, all over the world. an KOKOKOO the reason there are slightly more games in development for ps3 is probably because its harder to write to the ps3 than the 360 you will see that the 360 may get some titles out that are gonna appear on the ps3 before as they will probably be completed before and microsoft will pay for a "XBOX 360 ONLY" 3-6 month exclusive release as they did with the first xbox.
if you look at the ps2 and xbox library, there aren't that many games that dont appear on both consoles, so the list of games in production will probably be the same for both machines.

now you see, howjord. this next gen release may put an end to most games being inter-console. with DVD9 and around 9 gigs, and bluray being at 50 gb, the potential is different. games out on xbox may be shorter, have less features, or cut from details in order to maintain the limit. bluray is a near unlimited canvas. sure you could switch disks, but in a game like football, do you want half the season and teams on one disk, and half on the other? a large game like that would then be decided to be produced under the ps3. fps are pretty linear but still give out old levels to play whenever, but if you had to switch disks to play an old level all the time would that be fun? most large and in depth games will be out for the ps3 only. while smaller, less in depth games will be out for 360 only or both.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

wow wow hold on there a football game more than 9G, that in my mind will never happen, also sanandres is around 4G and it was by no means a small game, i doubt that any game will really exceed the 9G mark any time soon. so 9G is not nothing its enough for most games well for all at the moment its just that games like gta will become larger in the future so it will probably exceed 9G but as for fps, sports games, driving games and most rpg's like oblivion will most proably never really exceed 9G. for example super mario sunshine had 50 hours of play, now that massive for gamecube.

You have to be pretty narrow minded to think that developer would focus on Xbox 360 just because it's already out.
It's more logical to focus on creating launch games, PS3 is next up, becaus eupon launch you can sell almost any game in the hype and need for initial games.
I di dthe same for Xbox 360, I bought several games I don't give a damn about after two hours of playing, just because that was the stuff avail on launch. I coudl be playing 360 right now, but guess what, non of the games I and every one else bought are worth playing now. It's a category that is called, Launch Titles - ie. Short Games, not utilizing full hardware, and generally without significant story line, and mostly is foul gameplay.
Launch titles always sell though, I woudl be focusing on pouring out launch titles for PS3 righ tnow, but that just because I'm not an idiot....

Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.
Xbox 360 GT: NEGATIVE 273K
My advice: Wait for PS3.

In an effort to meet demand, Microsoft announced that it is adding a third contract manufacturer, Celestica, to make the Xbox 360. "We are working to deliver consoles as fast as we can manufacture them," said Xbox executive Peter Moore. Moore said the company is on track to meet its goal of shipping 4.5 million to 5.5 million consoles by the end of June.

I was expecting to come on here and see the biggest up roar so far.
I was prove wrong. But I was proven right that none of you guys look up the latest information on the 360. When it comes to the PS3 you do but not the 360.
Well I will leave it to you to figure out what I am talking about.

I got my HD t.v at last!! I got an Samsung 23" ROME LCD TV for the low price of 1365 australian dollars, it was originally 1899 but after a sale it was down to 1595 then a little haggling later he dropped it to 1365! So to anyone who is getting a HD t.v i suggest head straight for the sales and haggle like a crazy man! you might get a bloody good deal like i did. Now all I need is the 360 :)

The 360 games in hd are excellent I have my xbox and p2 hooked up HD
although I am not sure if I will get true HD with the ps2.Remember to get HD you have to use component cables which come with the 360 good thing because here in the states i paid 60.00 american for cables for the Xbox last year the 360 was made for HD
