That sums it all up doesnt it lol It is way to early to determine what system will be better right now as we havent seen them both yet. The Xbox 360 looks great so far and for some people that is what they want so they re going to get it. Some people think that Playstation has a better system in the gates and are gona pre-order asap. No one will truly know which one is "better" because like it was said before they are two unique systems, both with their pros and cons, its not as easy as it was with the xbox and ps2 was because they were (im not sayin exactly) basically the same, with the xbox coming out on top with graphics. Personally i think that smartest move for anyone is to wait till all three consoles come out in your region and wait a couple of months after that to see what each console trully has to offer and then make your decision.

i think sony will pull out ahead for the first couple of months...then very close for a long time after that

i think the ps3 will atleast 2fold 360 sales in the us, but thats just a guess

alot of the ps2's sold were here, and ps2's are still selling better than the xbox which is at a lower price. give me your grounds for not believing. they dont have as extensive of a base as sony.

true anubis but if there is no ps3 and an xbox 360 with games like gears of war, then its a lot different to the situation right now as xbox has no really good games releasing and ps2 has games like god of war releasing, you can see the difference.

the xbox had many decent games. and the starters are going to be ok, gears of war looks like big overy seroid men killing aliens so i dunno if it will be interesting to me. it all depends. both systems have theyr games. xbox 360 has new ones, and the ps3 have new ones and trusted series, which will bring back the old gamers.

ok now what i am about to show you, most of you have probably already seen (b/c this being a ps3 forum). its basically some in game pics of a game thats coming out for ps3, now from what i can see its next gen, but its not killzone, hell its not even gears of war.

yup, but in its defence, by the time it comes out it will probably be a little better, i mean look a ghost recon AW, it had even worse than cod 2 graphics and now look at it, just 4 mounths down the line. but then saying that, you must now also think about games like gears of war, which last showed off at tgs show and when they show off again at e3 or hopefully GDC, keeping iW looks.n mind about how improved ghost recon is, i can not even start to think how good GOW will be.

i think that game with the shitty pictures is trying to be cartoony and resemble like the animation of hercules. even then so they still seem less than par, so i hope that wasnt gunna be sonys release at this thing tomorroy

as you said "i have seen it they will", well i would normally have agreed with you but ad=fter seeing those pics from sony, and also kameo is also trying to go with the textured look, but it pulls it off better than those pics from sony. also ghost recon AW will not be the best lopoking game for xbox 360 by the end of the year, there will be many more games that will look a lot better. i am very interested to see what sony can show us this year at e3.

Xbox 360s global launch is very close to PS2's Japan launch.
That's right Japans launch alone.
Xbox 360s launch didn't top ps2 lanch how can you not expect ps3 to have a better launch.
360 was predicting a 3mil global launch. They sold 510 in the Us and 70 in japan.
Yes 70.
Ps2 had sold 540 and 510 in america and japan respectively.
Ps3's Japan launch will double 360's global launch, i promise you.
Want to kno something even more embarrasing. 360 didn't outsell the Nintendo Ds, PSP or even the f**king Gameboy Advance one on one in Japan. None of them.

Microsoft has yet to see profits for xbox. What do I mean. Through all the production costs and marketing costs, Microsoft is still in the hole. a 4 billion dollar hole . Only microsoft can continue to sell consoles after more than 2 years of not profiting. Yes individual gaming companies have prospered but not microsoft in itself. Only bill gates can stomach a hit like that and keep going.
Why does MS go on? Cause they feel if they can get the top spot in the console market then they will turn things around. Are they right? If that were to happen. Is it going to. No.
The fact is you don't say you are going to sell 3 million consoles and only have 700 thousand ready. It means you are trying to scare sony. Didn't work and you make yourself look dumb.
If 360 had that much of a head start sony would rush this system out. Why do you think they aren't cause 360 is trash and people aren't buying it at a rate for sony to say oh shit we have to put this system out asap.
Sorry guys but you have to be more logical and less wishful. Deal with facts not hopes.
Like I said maybe Xbox 1080 will do good against ps3. But for now you 360 guys should just go pick a fight with Revolution. Although I wouldnt hold my breath for you guys in that one either.

Ed: And for the record graphics doesnt make the console, its the games that do not saying that ps3 wont have good graphics its just that alot of ppl in this thread among the hundreds of others like this one just keep going on about graphics. The fact is PS3 wont go into the gorund because they have a strong base in Japan, unlike Microsoft who at the moment doesnt have a strong base anywhere, they have tough tiems ahead of them because of their crappy launch, but i still say that all these threads should be closed down untill all the consoles come out.

last i check this is a general discussion. its not rabbity vs anubis. And i didn't direct any comments towards anyone, i made no personal references. ok i just read everything you had to say, and everything you talk about has already been covered, before many times over, just b/c you have read the last page of this thread does not mean that you know what i am thinkning, like nobody said that xbox had original games i said the xbox 360 will have original games, thats WILL, WILL WILL WILL (i did not say that it already has them). got it. now do not come back and say have you played these games b/c no obviously i have not, but from what i have read they seem pretty good. also this is not the only thread we used to talk on, there are loads, so go back read all of them and then come back and argue with me, and if you do not want to do that, then like i said before f**k off
