anubis when you have 1.5 million poeople playing halo 2 online you are bound to find friends, if i just sent out one quick invite to everybody saying come play halo 2 then there would be people that would not able top join as it would already be full from other firends joining. my firends list was always full i had to keep deleting friends so that i could fit new ones in, and i made such good friends that most of them are on my msn list and when they get an xbox 360 they will go back onto my xbl friends lsit, but then, i have to do more deleting as my frieds lsit is once again full. anubis i told you, you can not judge xbl untill you have it for yourself.
also its true that it was harder to find people playing halo 2 about 9 mounths after it released but even then i could get a half full room at any time from just one invite. the best time for halo 2 was the first 6 mounths, there was no modding, everybody was around the same when it came to skill and the servers were full.
basically yes halo 2 was not perfect has you could not choose your own game, but firstly this does not mean that you can not do it asDAO4 and pgr 3 allow this. secondly like i daid before do not judge xbl untill you have it on your own xbox 360 with your own friends list, in your own house.

haha goodluck proving me 1.5 million people play halo2 online. more like 20000?
even computer games allow you to chose servers, its just a good thing.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

yeah, the game is old now and i am gald they came out with xbox 360 otherwise things were getting a bit old and repetitive, but all i can say is that the first six mounths of playing xbl with halo 2 were the best.

Lol, you are fasinated by making your own world? YOU CAN DO THAT WITH CHESS ONLINE. yes, chess online and people do join. You can change settings and everything.
Halo2 can do what chess online can do. And many many other games. What happened to counterstrike? That has way way better online than halo. So stop being so fasinated by these features. Halo is'nt the only game with them

At the end of the day xbox live was a good oline feature that now Sony and Nintendo are catching onto. PC's are very good online and Counterstrike is a good online game although Iam fed up of certain things and dont play it anymore.
This whole things started when someone thought they would mention that Xbox live is a good feature which it is becuase Sony are making thier own version of it.

Yes exactly my point. Sony are making somthing similar becuase xbox live was succesful and will continue to increase over the next few years. It would be very unwise for Sony not to copy Microsoft an release their own version.
So maybe to try and clear things up here Microsoft have thier xbox live and Sony are creating thier own online facility. At this moment we dont know what SOnys online facility will be like but I cant imagine it being bad like the PS2's becuase PS2 didnt have one and Sony relise how important it is.

I'm pretty sure that both Sony and Nintendo even admitted that they've learned that online gameplay is becoming more important, as demonstrated by the success of xbox live.
I don't care who you're a fanboy of, but the fact is that Microsoft popularized online gameplay for videogames, and Sony & Nintendo are adopting the idea moreso than before.

i for one spend a ration of 1:25 of my time gaming. it can be fun, but its not all i like to do. somtimes friends are more fun to play than people unknown.

was that not a bias comment?
i own a computer and still i mostly play my games offline. online is not the greatest thing, and its only a part of the game. many games get old and are worthless online or off. some games are more entertaining cuz they can pwn all the bots and not worry about botters and other hackers. maybe people dont really want to pl;ay people they dont know. its lackluster sometimes.

the resons live users are at a high is only hardcore gamers got the console, since there were so few and only hardcore gamers sat around for it. i ususally cant do well online cuz i seem to get set with people who play the game 20/7, with a few hours sleep. except timesplitters online, that i dominate. ut im ok online tho, and its my fave series next to timesplitters.

Well... you could argue that only "hardcore gamers" are using the 360 live.
OR
You can find how many subscribers there are to the Xbox Live service. A couple million, perhaps?

Has any Sony spoke's person said that there was to be new PS3 material at the Taipei show? I havent heard anything yet so I wouldnt hold your breath because it could be a big dissapointment like CES. Sony might not show anything until E3.

id just like to add, microsft was first to feature online play with their console. think you'l find it was sega. maybe not the quickest-it was on dial up connetion. But xbox live is the future. hopefully we'll see more rpgs. if you ever experienced phantasy star online, you'l realize why. ps2 has online play but its crap. ive got a 360 but got save a bit of cash so i can afford my broadband connection again
