tomorrow we should know all about sony's online network, according to the NYtimes
Quote: Sony will finally respond at a San Francisco media event scheduled for Thursday. Sony will detail its own online service, and game developers and analysts say that unlike Microsoft?s, the Sony service will be free.
interesting but nothing new tidbit
Quote: Sony had a roughly 60 percent market share, compared to 20 percent for each Microsoft and Nintendo. Analysts point out that the PlayStation 2 is still the leading game machine by volume currently selling.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

true ethernet is better. Well wifi is just convenient thats about it plus its neat no cables. Im gonna have to use wifi i might lag in online gaming a lil but thats fine im not that hardcore anyways. I use wifi for my ps2 wiht MGO and the lag isnt that bad so it shouldnt be a prob for PS3 hopefully.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

apparently no one like my newer news.... :( i thought the bits were interesting.
well, here is a video of wii vs ps3 in the tony hawk games. its awesome how they incorperate sensing, but the sensing for the ps3 works so much better in this application. check it out for yourself.

i ment its awesome that they use motion sensing in this way, but the ps3's sensing in this application seems is more intuitive and used. im not liking the wii. cod3 sucked too, overly shakey.

i saw a preview of twilight princess on the wii it looks pretty cool. Only bad thing is that you have to use the mote every time you hit an enemy...wouldnt that be very tiring after a couple of enemies? And im sure you have to slice up some bad guys a couple times b4 they die. LOL nintendo is gonna make kids have buff arms.
Hopefully you have the option to disable it and use the controller.
sorry for being off topic... would you play the wii standing up or sitting down????
makes sense that THP8 uses tilt for balancing on rails and manuals.

Anyone heard of Microsoft dropping the price of the 360 this holiday season or is that just folklore?

it would cost them more to do so. since there will be plentiful 360's, and few other consoles, it would be idiotic to do so yet. next spring to fall i'd say.
lair is starting basics of what i discussed before, as in uing the cell like a gpu. take a look at this article.
http://www.ps3land.com/article-924.php
if they perfect this and over time everyone does it, i could see the ps3 pulling father ahead than the 360 than originally believed.
