emulators? you mean on the ps3? it will be done i garantee it. look at the psp, it has emu's.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Yeh, UE3 really is amazing. It's not the graphics I like (although they are the best seen YET on a console), it's the gameplay/story/cinematic experience/online gameplay that has me interested. I don't know where you're from, but where I'm from everyone wants to chainsaw and curbstomp!
What is grotesque about the characters? Do you mean the enemy?
The COG look to me like Space Marines, which is cool.
Well, I think and hope Gears will be a Halo killer because I hate Halo!!
I'm not forcing this game upon anyone, just damn excited.

the guys you play as are the ugliest things imaginable to still be called human. thats what i was saying. they are as ugly has the marines in warhammer 40k but rts's dont matter. the unreal engine could always have better graphics than any other engine i know and still hae good framerates. unreal 2:the awakening looks like a god for its time. people gave that game shit but i enjoyed it alot because i tuned out half of what i know of the unreal universe.
and i dont like some of halo. the 1st one blows hard a$$, and the 2nd one was alright. i hope the third gives us more unique things to do and less repitition that all halo's before it. i think of all the halo games i'll enjoy halo wars the most.

what re you killing? is this just another "kill all" kind of game microsoft loves? (i.e. quake 4, dead rising) i want some nice storyline and creativity. does it have that? i like to immerse myself into their world so to say, and when characters that dont make a connection to me and the world is nothing but slaughter, i cant enjoy it more than 1 play through in most occations. it has to appeal for some other reason. all that is why i like most ff games, all half life's, sw:kotor 1 and 2, the timesplitters series, xenosaga ep.1, and many others like them.

Yeah, many reviews have stated that it has the best cinematic i0mmersiveness seen in a video game to date. Epic has took this in a completely different direction fromm it's UT series.

cinematic immersion? ff9 did that nice. that reminds me how much dislike with ff12 i have right now, soooooo many cutscenes omg. the only controller time you get is for leveling up or running to a place to initiate another cutscene..
but what are you killing? whats the point? the videos i saw were mindless alien slaughter with big oversized brutes on steroids.

Woah there anubis, I usually have been agreeing with you, but Halo 2 is the one that sucks ass. Halo 1 is better than Halo 2 in every way possible.

well its cuz halo is so repetative. its like cross bridge w/ covenent, walk thru hall, cross bridge with covenant and banshee, repeat all steps 4 times. it was fun the first time, but there is no replay value. plus i've played the first 5 levels like 10 times each and the rest so few, its hard to get started when i accually want to say i finish the game.

I agree on single-player, in fact I've never beaten single-player on Halo 1. But, I've been playing Multiplayer with my friends since it came out. Sure we stopped for like 3 months once Halo 2 came out, but we lost interest in those crappy maps/weapons(duel-wielding=crap) and went back to the good version(Halo 1).

i was one of the original stand-by'ers in halo 2. it was fun sometimes. multiplayer with halo or halo 2 is fun, but the single player? ... thats all i can say. they need a halo tournament game or something, haha.

I'll have to agree, I love halo 1 and 2 multiplayer but I'm not really into either one of the single player modes.

yeah i agree as well. the single player campaign was never really outstanding like other fps's. there wasnt much creativity, the objectives were mediocre...lots say the story is really good. but its seems like old alien invasion cliche. although the concept of THE Halo is pretty cool i think.

sophisticated aliens are battling to keep a rampant alien species at bay and humans are somewhere stuck in between.
Sounds like Starcraft.
Except Starcraft actually has a good single player and plot.

yeah, the world they made is fun, but the games can be lackluster.

Yup, but get 8 on 8 in Blood Gulch Capture the Flag, and you could have yourselves a match that lasts 6 hours or more(I was in an 8 hour game once) That is the funnest S*** I HAVE EVER PLAYED! the lower the number gets, however, the less fun you get.

Thats where XBL comes in. But I think it will be better in Halo 3 because I'm pretty sure it will probablly support up to atleast 24 players insted of 16.

Yes, but XBL only works with the crappy game: Halo 2.

i wanna see an online fps with massive numbers of player. Like a war with 50 or a 100 to each side. That would be amazing.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

i'd like to see a never ending mmorpg that was set in ww2 times. you could pick your side and support them, and fight for them. there can be huge fights and conflicts, aswell as doing things around the base.

That would be awesome but I think that sounds like it would be alot better on a PC than a console.

I've always wanted to make an MMO that was during the Battle between heaven and hell(whether you believe it was fictional or not, fiction for me :)) Anyway, you could deck out your angel, and either be on the devils side, or Gods side. There would be massive battles once a month and whoever one controlled the afterlife for that month and the team got added benefits like stores would sell things to your side cheaper and such.

So not long before the PS3 comes out anubis. Remember our long drawn out arguments on what the PS3 will be like and how it will compare to the xbox360? Well the PS3 is nearly here and most of the facts are known.
It looks ok, nice automaitc disc entry, touch sensitive on/off and eject buttons. The controler is adequate but iam still not 100% sure if the motion will take off or be more of a gimmick, however some games are implenenting it well.
Resitance Fall of Man looks very good.
I am still happy with the xbox360 myself but I can see why people would buy a PS3 seeing as its a blue ray player aswell as a games machine which makes the unit quite cheap considering.
