ok guys thanks alot. i will try and update to the 1.9g. hopefuly it will work. do i still need to burn the game with the brickblock patch?

You wont need to apply the brickblock patch to the game because you already ran the full update from it.

sorry, one more thing. i have read everything that rafadawn has posted but im not a pro at this stuff and im not sure how to burn the 1.9g. i have the file, do i just burn it and put it in and update. again im sorry for being repetitive but im not computer savy!

That all depends on the size of the 1.9g fix that you have. If it is 1.4 GB then just burn it straight to a DVD. If it's less than 1.4 GB, you should filechop it. rafa has a tutorial on how to filechop those files.

yea mine is the one that was on rafa's post the 1.4 one. should i use dvd + r cause thats all that seems to work with my wii. also after it updates 2 x do i have to boot it up and set the wii key settings again? thanks

I've never tried burning on DVD+R but they should work. I'm not sure if the update resets your wiikey's settings but just to be safe, you can run the config disc and turn region override to ON.

hey thanks alot, i got my smash bros brawl working perfectly by updating top the 1.9g awesome!! is there a language setting on that game, its really confusing to get going and setting up the options in japanese!

Glad to be of help to you! As for the language settings, it seems there is no option to change it to English.

hi guys,
i need some advice regarding wiikey. Currently i have a wii with an unknown modchip inside i am thinking to rechip it to wiikey as wiikey can be updated and will last in the long run but my concern now is will wiikey firmware stop at 1.9g?are there confirmed news that higher wiikey firmware is currently working on to let wiikey will survive in the long run? just worry that they might just work on the d2ckey and abandon wiikey which will not be used in the future wii console.
please advice if i should upgrade to wiikey?
oh yeah and a small question i have a wii(j) any chance i can run smg(us) or (pal) ?

A couple weeks back there was confirmation on the official Wiikey forum that the team was working on a new update.
You really cannot choose between Wiikey or D2Ckey. It all depends on what Wii you have.
There are compatibility problems with SMG (US/PAL) and a Japanese Wii. Link

Reviews are mixed at best.
Usually Ritek dye gives good results. Check your dvds using dvdinfopro
You could even do a surface test of one of the DVD from your batch using the Nero CD/DVD Speed tool.

Bro any chance a d2b board is able to install a d2c modchip like argon? to u bro u think wiikey has future? now looking at argon the function is really cool and argon keep coming up with new updates which provide more and more region support. if i really want to have an argon bad do i really have to buy a new wii? any suggestion bro? cause now i considering to rechip my modchip to wiikey scare it will be a waste of money.
any advise from anyone is also welcome , thanks

D2B is not Argon compatible.
Considering the easy installation and the fact that the Wiikey is really inexpensive, you coulkd still install the Wiikey ... instead of worring about what the future will bring.
If and when the Wiikey will prove ineffective, there will be other solutions ... however, why spend the money on a new Wii right now?!?!

For the Wii Brick blocker, do i need to open the .exe file? Because when i click on it, the program will not initiate.

I can download the files, but I'm not understanding what to burn exactly. Anytime I do try to burn something(when I think I did something right) using ImageBurn I am getting an error. Can anyone help me? It's saying something about Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format

What's the make, model and firmware version of your dvd burner?
To find out open ImgBurn and in write mode (probably what it's already set at) look in the right pane - the info is listed there.
What media are you using? Like Sony +R 16x. Burn speed you have it set at?

I figured out why brickblocker didnt work, i didnt have microsoft net framework 2 installed.
Anyway I have a problem concerning about the wii key, everytime when im in the middle of playing a backed up copy game, an error message appears saying that the wii does the recongize the disc. This problem happened to all the games i had and its fustrating! Does anyone else have the same problem?

This is prob the stupidest question out of them all but I just got a wiikey today and was given the 1.2b config disk and i downloaded and burned the 1.9g or whatever the latest was and installed it no problems it seems but every time i put in the 1.2b disk and go to settings it says that reagon locking is off! even when i turn it on, save settings and reset every time i go back into the menu it says that it is off...is this fine?
And I am getting the cut down version of brawl now and I have a Australian PAL wii and from everyones posts I gather this is what I should do:
1)Edit the ISO with regionfrii (not needed? or is needed?)
2)Burn it using a DVD-R dvd on no faster then 4x speed.
3)Edit the ISO with brickblocker newest release
4)Burn the ISO with brickblocker.
5)Put in the brickblocker free disk in, start the update but unplug the wii on 15%
6)Play with the brickblocker dvd and skip all intros and put tv type onto 50hz and stick to VS mode.
Are these all correct? Am I missing any steps?

Possible solutions:
1) Use better quality media (Verbatim, Sony, etc..)
2)Burn at 4x or lower speed (Even though a few burners prefer higher speeds. Nut it very fer dvd burners that do, in general 4x or lower works)
3) If 1 or 2 do not work, then try changing the Wii's dvd drive speed using a Config Disc.
