Hi
I was wondering if you managed to get your singstar game working. We are having the same problem, the audio/video are out of sync.
My daughter was given this game by my friend in the UK and she's desperate to play it. Any help would be appricated.

Ok, I just bought a PAL game, and I have a PAL-to-NTSC converter. My NTSC PS2 console keeps saying that the game is not a playstation 2 disc. Can you play PAL version games on an NTSC console without a modchip? Can I burn the game and play it without a modchip? I have a new system but I dont think it has a modchip.

the file I am trying to patch to NTSC, is a bin and cue file... how do I complete the process using those? Also... I tried using Bin2ISO just to burn it for use on my multisystem tv... but that also didnt work.. when I swap magic'd it came up red, meaning that the file wasnt right. Any Ideas? (plz dont suggest Nero, I tried it, and it didnt work.... whenever I tried to burn an image, it just crashed)
Btw, the game is Raiden 3. I tried to get a NTSC copy.. but it had no seeds, so now I have the PAL copy
About PAL games on NTSC systems. No, you cannot play any other region PS2 game on your console, unless it is the same region as the console... i.e. your PAL game on your NTSC console. You need either a modchip, or the swap magic discs.. using slide card or fliptop.

yes, it should be the same. The point is to patch the PAL file to act like an NTSC, not actually change its coding to the NTSC format.

Here you go. I just used it on a PAL NBA Live 07 and it worked fine. It was posted in an old thread here.

I have a problem with NBA Live 07 and Tiger Woods 07, on default POS of 48, the picture doesnt' show on the screen, but if I move it to 40 the bottom of the screen is cutoff. Also without using Y FIX too much of the bottom of the screen is cutoff. Has anyone got an acceptable position with either of these games?

Swap magic has Loading mode "NTSC", PAL or Normal does this automatically convert the signal or no.
Also when you get the OFFSET higher that will get more of the bottom of the screen, when the Y offset goes down it gets more of the top right?
So wouldn't a value of 56 be more optimal then 48?

many games hang up in some point with values greater than 48. Use by your own risk. 48 is the secure value.

Why is is that MOD CHIP or a hardware converter can get the picture perfectly centered.
But the software fix cannot?

Hello guys, i'm new here.
I'm french, i've got a PAL modded PS2 and i need some help.
I recently bought the US version of Final Fantasy X so i could get full NTSC display without FMV glitches (as it happens when patching with pal2ntsc). But the guys at square forgot one simple option ; the SCREEN ADJUST.
On my CRT TV, most of my NTSC games display correctly, even without a screen adjust option, but some games like FFX display extremely bad : the screen is not centered at all, it goes way too much to the top, and a little to the left.
So i need to know if there's a way to fix it, by patching the game for example(modifying a file with an hex editor and creating some kinf of .PPF patch, but i really don' know how to do that), or if a "patcher" program, like "pal2ntsc", that could let you choose the correct values (Y-axis AND X-axis if possible) before patching, actually exists.
Any advice is welcome, thanks.

getting games to show up and play aren't really my problem. every PAL game i've played has problems. loading. music/voice tracks skipping. game not loading up a stage or something. im using verbatim dvds, burning at 1x speed, and patching them. im not sure what im doing wrong.
