That was well said.
The revolution, I think will sell more than people give it credit for (mainly due to the price). Everyone will buy a PS3 or 360, but a lot of people will also invest in a REV. I for one have a 360, and can readily afford a REV. Until more info is released about the PS3 (like whether it exists) I may change my stance.

i like the way nintendo is modding the controller. i sure dont like the design as in looks, but motion sensitive will be awesome. also, the is said to have a power on/off switch on the controller so you can just sit down and play.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

1. It contributes to the overall style of the console.
2. The ring of light around it displays system status. e.g. 3 red lights = overheat. Red ring of light = no tv connection etc.
3. It shows how many controllers are connected and the corresponding screen section (if multiplayer).
4. Because it's somewhat unethical not to have it.

And what? Maybe since sony is SOOO advanced, they'll have a gauge to indicate the temp of their product? Just one more useless function to let fans say oh cool, look what i have.
This is a cutthroat business, dont make any mistake about that. Sony is learning from m$ just as m$ would have learned if ps3 had been released first.
And btw, ps3 fanboys such as yourself are over exaggerating this overheating thing. My 360 stays on regularly for 10-12 hours at a time. Im just not retarded. Mine is out in the open in a cool house, not trapped suffocating in an entertainment center of death.

they understand the world better, but if they dont hurry and ship before the new 360's, the hype of the 360 will significantly lower sales. sony better effing hurry.

From the quote I took you can see I was refering to anubis66, who so far has had no further comment, which is for all our benifit though.
I was just asking you about any new rev info, cause there doesn't seem to be any at all, cept controller and pics. fazyninja, calm down man, no ones sending nothing your way.
And abou the hurrying - Sony is a company that has always taken pride in extreme quality and superiority, they aren't rushing it. I like hwo they've stuck to their guns with atrac3plus and high quality audio processing, it sounds so much better. All their products have to be good, they have a company sns eof pride unlike MS's "we'll fix it later" attitude. They are such a giant they feel they can give us crap and we'll keep buying the add-ons to make it decent, and coax people into the warrenty. That's strategy! But it's a dirty way to treat us. Microsoft - high on power. Consumers - too addicted to advertising

well said.
and you asked me how the rev will own? i dont like the shape of the controller, but u can download all the old games and play online, as well as new games. there is even talk of playing old sega and atari games. also, the controller is like..hmm..any of you play kirby tilt and tumble for the gameboy? it works like that. the motions of your hands and arms effect the view in fps games and other games, unlike any other console. i think this was a smart area to move for nintendo, since they can no longer compete.
also, i was playing intellivision last night with a friend. who the hell said graphics make the games, it was awesome! we played football, snafu (like the lightbikes from tron), thin ice, super pro basket ball. it was fun, even tho it was 8-bit, it owned. i also wanna play my atari lynx but i lost all my games :(

Until I see that games are downlaodable for a reasonable price ie $2, I don't care. If they are free or really cheap then I'll get one.
Plus you guys aren't showing me where Nintendo has said this, it's just like saying specs, nothign is official. About three months ago it was all games downloadable for free, then everyoen was saying they dropped the game idea becaus eof copyright crap with old greedy game studios, and now you are bragging up the rev with this?
Aight, i fyou can say that; I can say that all the PS3 games will be free and downloadable too... I mean they never said price on em, so it's just like the rev, I can say what I want.. no?

Hi all.
When I started out, I was very excited about the PS3--still am--but things have changed a bit. I initially liked the PS3 in large part due to an abstract appreciation of its exotic architecture and speculation about how that could be used to improve its graphics (specifically lighting). This abstract\theoretical appreciation wasn't surprising since the 3-4 months ago when I last wrote about PS3 vs 360, we had less information than we do now, and now we have very very little (on the PS3 side). I'm a big proponent of 'distributed computing' and I really liked the Cell processor idea of a 'network on a chip'.
Anyways, I now own an Xbox 360 (premium) system and find it to be a huge time-waster (COD2 is bloody awesome and Xbox live is very impressive).
But still... The graphics-whore in me couldn't get those PS3 demos out of my head. As sweet as COD2 is, its graphics ain't nothing like the Metal Gear Solid PS3 demos!!!
Long story short: An Xbox 360 game called 'Gears of War' changed everything.
After I saw actual in-game play footage and screenshots of Gears of War running on an **actual** Xbox 360, my fears that its graphics wouldn't compare to the PS3 all but vanished.
Check out some these screenshots:
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/747/747891/imgs_1.html
Don't get me wrong--I don't all of a sudden hate the PS3. I will probably (99%) still get one, but it looks like I'll have a system that's (at least) on par with PS3 during the (probably many) months I'll have to wait for Sony's to get their nextgen system out in North America.

A very convincing and well thought out post, using reverse phycology, from Microsoft Xbox's PR department.

im only gunna get one system, it will save me money. i went to best buy today and saw endless upon limitless amount of overpriced rediculous addons for the 360. i should my friend the wirless adapter and told him what it was he said "cool how much?" i said 99 and his face dropped and he turned away and said "wth are they thinking, god!" it was almost sad.
and reason, you check out the link about the rev? you were dissing me for not backing up what i said, now go look. here it is again. http://reviews.cnet.com/Nintendo_Revolution/4505-6464_7-31355104-... i never said they would be free, who the hell would think that? i am thinking about 3 to 5 dollars and 5 to 10 on the classics everyone loves.
