Wireless music streaming from my computer two floors away! That's a sweet feature, and now I have said something nice to go along with the bad.
I really need to turn off auto-notify and e-mail refresh, cause this thread get's updated really fast and and I can't step away without it popping notification in the bottom corner.
Fanboy is a term used to describe someone who is utterly devoted to a single subject. This generally is followed by the devotion and support even when proved wrong.
Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.

oh and the liquid cooling... nice idea and heard it works but you have to cut away your 360 case???
this one was at ces bit smaller and you dont have to cut you case about, not liquid cooling but a array of extra fans

yeah but the reason for getting the coolit system is partly so that my xbox 360 does not over heat and partly b/c the sound of the fans is too high oh and also so that i can boast about it.

ok so what now, we have to pay another 100-150 dollars to keep a system cool that should
have already been more controlled? now we have a system that was pretty big now not fitting
in the rack of an entertainment center? all this hastle and extra money spent because m$
made a mistake so you could pay for it and they would not have to.
ha and you want to boast how you made a shitly tested console massive and less hot like it
should be because they effed up so you had to pay?

i think if the harddrive wasn't put where it is then the heat would escape easier as then both ends would have the gauze then lying down the console creating a airflow through, standing up wont solve it as the bottom is blocked

Ok. It has come apparent that some people on here consider themselves as non fanboys.
However anything said about 360, there always seems to be a negative to some people and that the 360 has nothing right about it.
If I knew nothing about the 360 and read the posts of Anubis and Reasons I would begin to think the 360 was made by some old blind man with no experiance in making consoles and stuck it together with paper glue and small heater. Then when it comes to the games it would seem there is nothing good coming out for the system and the fact they come on DVD9 means you have to change a disc every 10 mins and have about 20 discs for each game.
If you look back at my posts on this thread and other threads I give good points to the PS3, like its blue ray, design, controler and what other small snipets of information we have about it. I must admit that I do seem more inclined towards the 360 but only because of these stupid negatives that keep on coming up about it.
Reasons and Anubis seem to give all these positives on the PS3 and none on the 360. Reasons does try with a weak attempt a few post before this, but he only does so when prompted to give an impression of not being a PS3 fanboy.

im not saying anything positive on the 360 because whatever it can do the ps3 i said to do and more. of course we wont know for sure untill its final specs are released. and why would you lean toward a system people downplay? maybe theres a reason behind it. rsx outperforms xenos, the cell outperforms the xeon, blueray tramples dvd, and xdr kills the 360s shared ram. the ps3 may well be a truly revolutionary console, with all of the new and exciting techknology being release this year! what new tech does the 360 contain? an stolen apple processor and a video card that less than performs optimaly?

on a new note. sony is most likely going to compete with xbox live, with all of xbl's features
and more. game servers are still going to be decentralized, but when u host it will show in
sorted out lobbies and allow u to join whenever to wherever.

also, to clear up some issues, the cell ppe will be dual threaded, it will run at 4.0ghz, each
spe has a 128x128 bit interface, and it will be in little way hard at all to code for. these
revisions may be why the ps3 is seeing nothing new, because its new parts are being updated

Zelda you are a 360 fanboy. You're informative post and reliable information prove that.
Zelda and Reasons are right, just because they diss the 360 at every possible chance and stick their c*ck in the ring on a Blu-ray disc doesn't make them fanboys does it?
Of course the PS3 will be better. Sony has released a working console, which puts pixar to shame. They can keep the temperature so low, and it's so small that they decided to include a compartment to hold 6 cans of beer and keep them cold. Their internet connection is so advanced, you can actually travel through it to go and play at your friends and thediscs are so big they can hold superkingkongtera-mc'byte's.
...oh no infact wait, they only have an empty silver box - it'll hold your beer though!

Anubis don't go back into the realm of system power, I think its safe to say both have similar power, there are a few sources out their to prove it and even hideo kojima say's so for goodness sake, and last time I remember it was hideo kojima who works for sony and has dev kits and not anubis of afterdawn. What I also have seen quite often is that the 360 is easier to develop for.

Not that it matters to much to me, as I'll have both systems (If the Xbox720 isn't out before the PS3)

Yeah if you really look at the system specs the PS3 will be about 10%-15% more powerful than the 360. That's why I was wondering who thought which system would be more powerful but I don't think anyone responded. I know in my case that I am going to actually own both the PS3 and 360 because I enjoy the different games that come out on each system.

well, its easier to write for the 360 cpu cuz its like any old pc cpu. the cell is a new and more flawless design. some forms of linux already run on it, and its not hard to port over. anyways, it may be easy to get the power of the 360 cpu out, but with a little more work, you can exploit the cell far more. hell, its even easier to write for the ps3 than the ps2, so i dont know why people keep complaining this time around.

the thing is that sony are messing about with the ps3, thats why theres never anything new to say about it. by the time it comes out it probably will be more powerful than the 360 but its being released after the 360, they will change the workings and specs to be so powerful nothing will beat it. but maybe it will too advanced for game developers to use it to its full potential.

The pure trash of forumns is poepl who put out ramdom ass claims. Where in the hell do you get this 10-15% garbage? How can you even say sh*t like that when you don't even understand which will handle what code at what % better. There is no overall % you can throw around, because the Xbox 360 will handle many different apllication in paralell better and the PS3 has specialized to handle a few tasks extremely efficiently. The Xbox 360 CPU woudl have been perfect for a ocmputer running 4 5 or 6 different programs at once, and the PS3 is an excellent video game, scientific, and video/audio transocidng/decoding and intensive vector/general mathmatics CPU.
Take this example - a general purpose CPU is a large and hot CPU that can perform many different processes and code, this is what the 360 has three of. Specialized hardware liek the SPEs (Chill, the Cell has a PPE too) perform less generalized and more intensive and complicated apllications extremly fast.

General purpose is absolutely worthless in the next gen era, and you and I both have been sold, abosultely MARKETED and SOLD by Micorosft (I have a 360).

i read up up cell design sites, i posted a link to one somewhere, check the cell buffs thread for it if you want to fight about this. also my friend knows a guy and sees him often who works for midway of chicago, and he says the ps3 is realativly easy to code for, and is nothing they cant handle.
