I do exactly what you said HiredGoon. I decrypt the game and everything works, but when I go to put in a DVD-R into disc tray I get "Device Not Ready"(Unable to recover TOC). Someone please let me know what that means. Thanks

Well if you hadn't noticed, Hiredgoon hasn't been on here in awhile. Hmm what game are you trying to burn? TOC stands for Table of Contents, basically just the size of the game. How big is the iso you're trying to burn?

Yeah it shouldn't need rebuilt then. In DVD Decrypter load the mds file. It sounds goofy, but that is correct. It actually burns the iso file, but the mds file contains info which tells your burning software what the file is and how to burn it. Load the mds file, then MODE-->ISO-->WRITE. That should do it. Burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R. Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, TDK, Maxell, Sony, or Phillips DVD-R's.

I did exactly what you said. It still comes up as Device Not Ready(Unable to recover TOC). Any other suggestions? I tried to copy the MDS and it stils says that message at the bottom. I'm using Sony DVD-R's you have any clue what's wrong here.

Well in that link it said it was likely a dirty or scratched disc. Are you backing up an original or burning a downloaded game?

This disc is perfectly clean. I put it into the tray and I decrypt the disc. Then I take out the original ps2 disc and put in a blank cd because I only have one disc tray. Then when I try to copy it to my cd it say's that message "Unable to locate TOC"

I don't know man. You are hitting MODE-->ISO-->READ to create the iso, right? After you have the iso on your hard drive, you click the mds and MODE-->ISO-->WRITE. I know people have backed up Madden 2006 properly, hell it's one of the most downloaded games on the net. Your burner is compatible with DVD-R's, right?

I believe my burner is compatitable. It would be a different kind of error. I'm doing everything correct I don't know. How do I know for sure if my burner is compatitable?

Well it would say DVD+/- RW compatible. The + would be over the - on the box. Otherwise type your model number into google and see what is says.

Yeah I've been looking around myself. You can pick up a BenQ for around $40. They are supposed to be fairly reliable. Liteon and Sony work well, and are priced between $75-100. I don't want to spend that much, but I have read mixed reviews on the BenQ 1620 and 1640, so look around and see what you can find.
