thanks for the tip tredari.
eventhough i dont use Bittorrent client i downloaded it to use the accelerator on it to see if it worked. i set the "find more sources" option to 3 mins like u suggested.
didn't work for me. didnt get high speeds like u (140kbs). mostly stayed on 30kbs, more or less. it did pick up speed realy quick though.
and i didnt find any spyware on the files BTW.

redscorpi, what spyware remover did u use, I used ad-aware, I made full sys. scan and it found 2 or 3 thingies and I am 100% sure that those thing came with that darn accelerator, cuz if I tried that accelerator last time ten same things came, so scan ur comp again and make a full scan

I also got 30-40 kBps before I configured it...To complete the speedup process you also have to configure your bittorrent(as mentioned in other previous postings) I have dsl, so i set the bittorrent To "dsl\cable slow" and moved the upload rate to the middle I think it was 29kBps....That's where I got the best d\load results (140 kBps)..... and yea I know... spyware FUCKING SUCKS(sorry) ,....NORTON or MCAFEE!!!!!! (you should have one or the other if you want to fuck with internet d\loading).. also I have a program "system mechanic 4" which has a great spyware\adware removal tool. Put up a post if you need it I'd be glad to help :)
Also I use bittornado as apposed to bittorrent it has more advanced settings :p

Redsorpi..... what is your connection speed? try to configure bittornado as I suggested. if you have dsl or cable you should be able to get the faster speeds. if setting it to dsl\cable slow..... then 29kBps (or whatever is in the middle) doesn't work. try every setting till you find what's best for you. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!! lol Also It takes a good 5-10 min to speed up to it's full potential..you have to give the accelerator time to find the best sources

i use ad-aware too. i always do full sys scans. did one recently and it did found some stuff. it may have been from this accelerator, but it removed them all. so its cool, no beggie. i also use Cwshredder and Highjack This just in case some spyware are harder to remove.
tredari, i have fast access dsl. i thought this accelerator was only for "BitTorrent 3.4.2" like it states on the link u provided. and bittorrent doesnt have all those advanced options like tornado or any other client. so i dont know how u manage to do that.
and i suggest u download bitlord, is the best bittorrent client out there. BitTornado is cool for beginners, but i think bitlord is better. peace out

If the accelerator is only for bittorrent then it is odd that it works for BitTornado... after seeing what you posted i tried an experiment.. in the middle of a BitTornado d\load i turned off the accelarator and my speed whan straight down to 40kBs then I reactivated it and it shot back up. so i guess it works. Thanx for the info though... Bitlord Huh? I'll have to try that I'm always looking for faster d\loads... Peace out redscorpi

ok if u say it works with BitTornado than theres no reason why i shouldnt give it a try. ill use all the hints u suggested in ur previous posts.
oh and i dont mean to say that u will get faster dls with bitlord, in fact u may get slower dls if u dont configure it correctly. but im just saying its a better client in that u can download multiple torrents at a time, u can seed, it simply looks better lol, and it has a built in torrent search engine. there may be some other advantages im forgeting. like chat and some other stuff...

TRUE....lol, it does look better. but my d\load speed was only about 10 kBs.. I'll have to stick with the 140kBs :) but, maybe i didn't configure it right as you said. If you have any tips to configure bitlord it might help.......
Also I do have a question, I was in the middle of a movie d\load and i stopped it to do something else.. when i went to resume it said some shit like "cannot connect to tracker" WTF? I never had a prob before. So I did some reading up on trackers,.. how can I try another tracker, Or can I?

AWESOME!!! That's so cool to hear. {grinning ear to ear}..Did you use all the configurations I suggested from the accelerator to the tornado?...
Also in the tornado window click the "about" at the right top and you will see it is basically bittorrent

yeah, i used all ur suggestions: setting the accelerator to 3 mins and selecting dsl/cable slow. but i didnt put the "max upload" bar to the middle, but to 19kbs, which has been my sweetspot for all bt clients.
btw i tried the accelerator with bitlord and it didnt work lol, i was kinda hoping it would. u dont get high speeds like 140kbs on bitlord, but u should not get 10kbs either lol. i got 10kbs on bitlord too after using accelerator but before downloading this accelerator i was getting around 80 on same torrent. i guess the accelerator has affected it in some way. after i stopped and restarted the torrent on bitlord it went up to 80 again.
the only thing i dont like about tornado is that its hard to seed. i want to seed cuz i dont want to be a torrent hogger and i know seeding and sharing is what keeps this system going.

There are two reasons i use the 29kBs max upload. One is that it does allow me to share more. The other is that I get the high speeds.... so i figure it's a win win situation..but "always use what's best for you" that's my motto
And I always try to share. For example....when my d\load is done i usually leave the bittornado window open until my upload total matches my download total. Because it's exactly as you said redscorpi. sharing makes it work!
Also i've noticed the torrents you find with Torrentsearch.com tend to have more seeds than some of the others I've tried, such as torrentreactor. So they naturally they tend to be faster:)
Peace

hi, im new and im currently using BitTornado, but i am still getting a yellow light and only speeds of around 1-4kbps. i have managed to open a range of ports through my firewall (macafee) but how do i find out what my router is?? I have found the default gateway ip for it on the Configurations on windows which is: 10.19.4.12 but when i type this into the web page address bar nothing comes up. How can i find otu what my router is so i can forward my ports to get faster downloads. Please help as its so annoying having painfully slow downloads.

i have a dsl cable with connection speed of 100MBps (i think). what can i do to find this out for sure cus im on a university network but its run through BT and not through the actual uni network?? The network is called 'Ubroadband' by unite (the compnay im with) and supported by BT. I have windows xp and i have already disabled the firewall on xp and configured my mcafee firewall correctly to allow BitTornado to run through it by opening the ports by using random number like everyone says. but how do i sort out the port forwarding problem if when i put the default gateway into the address bar it doesn't come up with anything?

ho59... As far as I know azeureas is a d\load accelerator and manager of sorts. the bittorent accelerator is only for bittorrent or bittornado...
woogirl... Mine starts off yellow too. I usually have to give it 2-3 min. and i also use mcafee. make sure your firewall allows bittornado and the accelerater to access to the net.... Mcafee will block programs from the net.
Bmaniac... Read all the previous posts from redscorpi and I.. there are many things you can do
Redsorpi... I use windows xp. I never had a prob with it before, nor did i know it has a firewall. Is it with home ed. or proffesional ed. or both
