Unfortunatly at the moment I dont have a 360 because I live in Australia. I have to wait until the 2nd of March. I would still love to hear all your experiances with your 360 to learn more about it. I read that it gets hot to begin with but like a new car or motorbike once its worn in a bit it will cool down. No one has said the reason to why this is but I belive it to be two things. 1) the fans might need to wear in some what, meaning the motor's need to run a bit for them to work at full capacity. 2) the liquid in the cooling system needs to be warmed a bit to make it less thick so it cools better.

However I would like your feedback on this, so please let me know if it cools down over the next few days.

Also what do you mean by add me? do you mean email. Sorry if iam acting a bit slow here.

and no the heat is not normal. if you keep it upright it doesnt get so hot. many people are
complaning of their 360 overheating and burning out. happened to a friend of mine.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Really! well thats the first I have heard and what a surprise another friend that's had thier microsoft product full apart on them what a coinsedence.

Anyway Eureka please try not to take what anubis says to seriously. I would like your verdit of what happens please becuase your the one with the 360, not someone like anubis who has heard from a friend that his 360 melted and blew up and his xbox controlers fell to pieces.

Hmmm anubis could have predicted that 1, lemme guess is it poor old dusty again who's 360 burnt out cos all his microsoft products seem to blow up on him some way or another. Ime dubious to anything you say ecspecialy if its something negative about 360. Eureka I wouldn't worry, what zelda say's is probably true but let me know wot happens eureka cos I will believe what you say as YOUR the one with the 360. Anyway, thats another advantage, it warms your socks too! lol

i never said the new controlers were built week, zelda, the older ones were. they just became
unresponsive over time.

and no dont take me seriously untill the problem doesnt go away. my friend thought nothing
of it and when i touched it it hurt.. anyways. see if it works out. stnd it upright and see if that
helps, cuz the guy at the store said it was ment to be up for the colling system to work at top
speeds.

and yes warm socks are a good thing in these winter times.

Ha ha ha ha, lol, rofl. Thats funny stuff anubis, when i touched it, it hurt. eurika your a tough person having to endure all that pain when you have to turn on the console or change a disc.

Any anubis might have a point with the standing up right. Give it a go and see if it gets any cooler.

do not, i repeat, DO EFFING NOT change the system from upright to laying or vise versa while a disk is inside the 360. this will cause the disk to get effed up. even the rep at the store said that. you know, the one i got in a fight with? he also stated it overheats and to put it upright to make it work well. funny he discusses the problems and says the the greatest this ever and it will pwn everything the ps3 has at all.

but his advice is well spoken about 360 protection, of faults ms should have fixed.

the best thing bout the controller for me whas the fact that I did not really notice holding a new controller. there are two main differences for the better. ofcourse the wireless:D:D:D:D:D:D:D and indeed. the black and white button now being trigger buttons. it's just beautiful... one word fabulous:P seriously now. it's way better then it's older brada. ave by toetatis.

Hello again everyone, mine didn't get so hot that it hurt when i touched it. It was just pretty warm. So should i try standing it up?? I read on the internet it was a better chance of scrathing the disks in the vertival stance.

I think it's suppose to be warm. Standing it up might scratch the disks. It depends if your 360 is working perfectly.

Yeah i know it is supposed to be warm, but it was just like a hot...hard to explain. I did stand it up into the vertical postion, seems to be staying cooler, and it isn't as loud, i took out a disc after playing it in that stance, looked fine...just hope it stays that way.

Is it on carpet? I know the n64 is'nt suppose to stay on the carpet, or it will overheat. Mabey its the same with the 360. Read the caution lables, maybe it says it there. Maybe that explains when it stands up, little bit of the 360 surface is on the carpet, so its cooler.

I think the best thing to do is to wait a few months so any release problems that the 360 may have will be ironed out. i dont think its a major problem with the 360 getting to hot most electrical equipment gets hot, most pc's and laptops run warm, as long as they are not in a enclosed space it should be fine. give it plenty of airflow, until its run in. i remember when the ps2 came out there was alot of early faults with that, with dvd playback and power problems. altough they do testing, when they go into mass production theres bound to be some problems. microsoft changed the suppliers on some components after the first series of xboxes were released, i got my xbox 11 months after realease and not any problems ever.

I have an idea eureka, put in a crappy music c.d or a blank disc, a c.d you don't want anymore, put it in the 360 and stand it vertical. Leave the 360 running overnight and see if the disc gets scratched.

I cant see eureka having any problems, I bet it will get cooler regardles of what anubis thinks because you are the one with the 360 not him.

I would love for you to tell me all that goes on. HOWJORD you bring up some good points that are true regardles of you being a 360 fanboy. At least you admit your a fanboy unlike anubis.

As I live in Australia, so when if i get a 360 all the initial problems the 360 has becuase of mass manufacturing will be ironed out. The xbox had somthing like 3 or four different manufactur's on its DVD drive through its life. The PS1 had diferent manufacturer's on it CD drive through its life. When going into mass production things like this occur but are soon corrected.

chimpanel its only if you tilt it around while the disk is spinning.
