Copying game save from PC to PS2 using uLaunchELF

I really appreciate your replies... but this isn't gonna work out for me... these encoding stuff.
I burned 4 discs of Reality media player... none of them worked, all i did was...
1. downloaded Reality Media Player image (cue/bin).
2. burned on 1x/4x using CDRWin 4/Nero 6/DVD Decrypter/Alcohol.
3. Run on PS2.
Result = Dumb ass "Disc Read Error"!
by the way, tell me about the GS2 v4... does it work on backup games?

What are you using right now for backups. I assumed you were using swapmagic as you said it played backups fine.
Gameshark will not play backups that I know of unless you are using swapmagic and the slide tool or flip top for your PS2 V7.

I downloaded a Swap Magic image... it doesn't work... as usual... Disc read error... :(
My PS2 runs backup games normally... dunno how but it runs backup games without any problems...
how do i load cheats codes for backup games? is it possible?
also... what is the shortest way to boot a usb harddisk? I have a 16GB Fujitsu hard disk... is it possible to boot it and watch movies or play games from it?

Ok you must have a modchip installed then.
To load cheats you would need Action Max replay or codebreaker Disk.
Now on my rapidshare site I have AR max evo that burns to DVD but if you can't download there not sure where you can.
As for you using your 16GB Fujitsu I am not sure if its compatible or not.

You will probably need to burn usbextreme to a disk to run it.
You are probably better off to find an IDE HD and use it as more games are compatible with HDloader.

I have a Action Reply Max Evo image... how should i burn it? i mean... should i use a DVD+R or a CD-R? and what software should i use? I usually use DVD Decrypter to burn ps2 games.

Yes I would use DVD Decrypter and burn it using a DVD+R if thats what you have.
See how that goes.

Yo...
It's really strange :S
A friend told me that Backup games don't support gameshark codes... but I have a Gameshark 2 v4... and it's working great with backups... I played Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks and God of War using gameshark... the codes worked fine...

hey i have a usb put it in my ps2 to copy a saved game (gta sanandreas) and nothing is comming up any ideas why??

If you have followed the post at the very beginning of this thread , and your ulaunch elf is not coming up I would probably guess that the PS2 does not recognize your type of usb, as it may not be compatible with PS2. Some usb are not.

I was wondering if i use the Memory card reader for the ps3 if it will work on the PC, by reading the memory card if connected to the PC. It is usb and can read ps1 and ps2 memory cards on ur ps3.

Ok this is the deal. i am a gamin person. I have 250 games for ps2 and dont have enough time to complete them all. i was tryin to get the saves of my pc to my ps2 memorycard. I have been reading all of the posts and have tryed 9 times now and the farlest i have gotten is were the playstation sign comes up on ps2 then it goes to the browser. I would appreactie some help as I cannot get all of these games completed any other way.

Ok i have tryed again and still no joy. this time this is my 15th disc. It still only say playststion 2 then goes back to browser. I hate this. I am a advanced computer user too and cant even figure this out. sigh

I don't know if this would be easier for you or not, but what I did was copy the ulaunch elf to my usb drive and put it in my SWAPMAGIC folder.
I posted here how I did this, and if you scroll down there is more explanation and pictures.

yes i think so. this is really startin to get to me. i have tryed for 3 days now. :( i have tryed everything. oh yea tell me this when you are making the SYSTEM.CNF were it says BOOT2 = cdrom0:\HDADVANCE.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = PAL/NTSC
do i have to put in the full version of it?!?

My system cnf looks like this for ulaunch
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\LAUNCHELF.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
You have to change that to whatever your elf file is called. in caps.
Then just click save.
Or you can just download it here: uLaunchELF_v4.08__ELFs__PS2CD_-_Globalwar_Edition
My folder
password: windrider
You can just click on free download and the wait time isnt long.
Then just extract the rar file, burn the ISO to a cd.
Then you can just put in your Swap magic and boot the cd from there.

I have to ask you though what type of CD are you trying to make.
If its a ulaunch cd , you would then need to make the system cnf point to the ULAUNCH.ELF so it can boot the program up.

Edit: My ps2 is chiped and i dont need swap magic.
Edit: i have downloaded Action Replay max evo off ur site and burned it. It works on my ps2 but then it stops when it goes to load up. Any help?

Ok if the elf you download is called BOOT.ELF, then that is what you put in the SYSTEM.CNF
It has to be named the same as what you are putting on the cd.
Most of the SYSTEM.CNF are for NTSC. You may have to change that if your system is PAL
The Ulaunch 4.12 as posted here is also NTSC: http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=launchers.html
The file there extracts to 600 MB bin file that you also can just burn.

When it has loaded Make sure you scroll down on the Black and White screen to the option entitled RESET IOP.
I am not sure is thats the problem or not. There should be an included read me file with that file.

Smoky can you make me one for PAL as i cant not get it to work. PLZ I would be soooo greatful. BTW most of my games are copyed.
Edit: i got action replay to work. now i have different problem. It doesnt see any saves on my flash drive. sigh ill never get it to work.
