Just more proof not to waste any more disc for these crazy tests. A 99 and a 95 on same disc. j/k guys. LMAO

@Rob I burn on the fly quite often when I'm giving something away.

on the fly is all i ever used to do. and then scan them.
ive just resently(past 6months or so) started doing the burns with nero cd/dvd speed.

you do know you can still burn the way you normally do and then just do the quality scan on that burn.. thats what my last 2 post were. 2 on the fly burns and then scaned them... no waist of a disc what so ever.

got a couple more to do also. those 2 up above were actually some 16x-r printable verbs. i got a good batch of those bout 50 or so more left.

GM
im actually glad i have figured out all my so called problems with my build and i can actually do what i built it for. burning!!!!!!

i hit the dive yesterday. got a couple hundred cases. alot of Wii cases. about 5 GC cases ;)

i gave up burning on the fly pretty much unless I'm in a hurry. the quality scores are much better burning a file from the HDD

i honestly cant say that. even when i use dvd-rebuilder. i dont get no where near the scores i don when on the fly.

those two scans i did above is a DL disc that i used clonedvd2 to transcode it and fit to a dvd5. ill run it through dvd-rebuilder with2 passes, and burn to the same disc(well a new one that is..lol)
and post it.brb in 45 mins or so with the scan..(no i dont have a 30 min OC'd Quad) LMAO

I've been saving these up so now I think I'll dump them on you!

All Optiarc AD-7200S burns, all Benq DW1655 scans.

First some MBI DL, burned @ 6x:

Here's some Ritek S04 DLs, burned @ 8x:

I really like this media, and my 7200S does too! Great hub-printable surface too.

And even a Verb 2.4x DL!, burned @ 2.4x:

Now for some SL media,

16x MBI media burned @ 8x:

And now some 8x(I think)Maxells, burned @ 8x:

and heres' an 8x Ritek R03, burned @ 8x:

IM just funnin with ya. i told ya the DFI bios and such was alot. thats what has drove me away from them. i dont have the time to truely get into it.

well my 16x litey wont burn the 8x+r DL memorex disc.i think i need a FW update for that drive to read and write these DL disc. there hasnt been one for a long time now. might need to talk with the CODEKING and see what he has to say... so i had to do some compression and slapped it on a 16x verb...scanning now

Just finished a transcode. lol. Yep used Shrink.. haven't in so long it took me a minute to work around it. ;)

From start to finish 14:48, that included deep analysis and burning the disc @ 8x (well maybe NOT 8x... gotta check.. thought that I chose 8x burning...). lol. :)

Man this DFI/Q6600 rig is FAST!!! I see why creaks was willing to leave her be!!! :D

@ GM,

I'd probably drop back to 6x burn with those Ritek S04s in the Liteys. If I remember correctly my liteys were ok with the Ritek S04s but not great. Try them in your Sammy or Optiarc.

The S04 I posted is one of Ritek's new hub-printable DL so it might be some of their A game product. Is yours an OD, Memorex or Dynex DL?

The scans I posted btw were all RI4M rips and then burned the folders with Imgburn, no iso build.

hobbit I burned them at 4x and I moved my burner to scan at 4x as well, it was a new install and the default speed is 8x I guess. ;) Oh and they are Memorex.... DON'T tell creaky tho... hehehe. ;)

I'll try them in another burner later... I was just testing the rig and it's FASTNESS..... lol. ;)

this burn was done with CloneDVD2..I found myself running across a Bad Batch of 100 pack +R 16x Verbs..So..I decided to try out some -R and the scans are flawless..Wait until you see my next post..the PIE's arn't all that well PIF's are Flawless with these Disc's..I can't complain out the 3 burners..i got..i believe the Lite-on Burns the best but don't scan the best and is faster in reading the data is alittle noiser but why not you gotta be a little loud to be Fast..lol

my thanks go out to Greensman & CincyRob on showing me the ropes
on good Burners to have and to buy Good Job Guys:)

Dig the space between this scan on the BenQ

Same Disc same movie pulled from the Hard Drive burned at 8X speed..If you notice it spikes at the same spot at the end at about 3.2 gigs..but the beginning is alittle different..

Have you looked at the disc to see if there is a blemish or anything there...spec of dust etc.?

No..I hav'en..i tranfer the disc from spool to the drive without touching the bottom or looking at it either my BenQ is in the drive above my Optiarc and the lite-on is above all them but another thing is ..both drives scan in the same way even knowing the BenQ is much older drive...i'm glad they made one in sorter same features as the BenQ scan wise..wait until you see the next..I got and save..i'll post it later

varnull you know we can't read stuff like that.... hehehe. :P You gotta give us pictures. ;)

From what I could "see"... you had restricted overwrite.. which could mean nothing... but I did notice you never made it above 11x and it even dropped back down to 8x to finish. ;) Does the movie play ok?? If so then all is good for now. lol. How bout another drive besides the Samsung SH-S182D with SB05 f/w?? I have that drive but haven't used it in over a year... lol. I need to pull it out and replace the one from work which is a complete POS!! ;)

Nice to see you visit the normally colorful scan thread. ;)
