Are you getting controller error in cdvdgen? If so remove and reinstall it. I had same prob where would save ifl file and not goto the record screen. You should get 2 errors , SCSI controller error and initialization error, just click ok till record screen comes up and then export image as (name)to a folder. It should save files as (name)001, (name)002 etc. Then import these files into DVDBuilder to make a working ISO. Then burn ISO with Nero or DVDDecrypterand there ya go. The patch is alot ezier if you want a fast track, just burn a iso from original with DVDDecrypter and save it as ptc-merc.iso. Then run Rickspatch in same folder as ISO you just made. It should make one new ISO for you, takes about 20-30mins to patch. Then burn the new ISO with DVDDecrypter.
An r battle cri be McNugget! McNugget! An darn ye greasy kilt and brand ye battleforks! Tak ye nu prisonrs!

I'm having the same problem as 1250night I ran the patch fine and got the new iso file, I burned using dvd decryptor at 1X speed, but when I try to play the game it freezes on the lucasarts screen, after about ten minutes it goes to another loading screen and then the screen goes black but the music keeps going. I was thinking it may be the way I burned the iso file. Usually when it asks what image file to burn with I click on the mds file but there is no mds file for the new iso file so I just click on the new iso image and burn it, is there some way that it may still be burning the old iso instead of the new one. Other than that I have no ideas on how to fix this any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read through this entire forum two or three times and apologize if I missed something that would fix my problem. I am trying the other method of using cdvdgen to make a new iso but I keep getting an error message. I know it says I am supposed to get two error messages but I just get one. ASPI manager loading failed, I click ok and it takes me back to the volume screen of cdvdgen. Where do I need to put that IML file? I have tried putting it in a file of its own and the file everything is located after isobuster. I am lost please help. Sorry if Im pissing people off.

Okay i have read this entire thread and nothing about this yet. I am getting an error message while running the Ricksdvd patch. It goes through it like normal, 3 files being extracted:
DRK-FLE.001
DRK-FLE.002
DRK-FLE.003
And then it says "Insufficient disk space
0 file(s) copied
ApplyPPF v3.0 by =Icarus/Paradox= Nov 26 2001
Error: cannot open file 'DRK-MRC.ISO': No such file or directory."
Does anyone know anything about this?
Also, one other thing, when i first copy the image from the original copy to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter, i get 3 files:
ptc-merc.I00
ptc-merc.I01
ptc-merc.MDS
I am not getting just the ptc-merc.ISO file like i believe I should be getting. are the two I00 and I01 files the ISO seperated or what? I've been struggling with this problem for some time. The steps I'm taking are as follows:
1) Copy image from original to HD using DVD Decrypter
2) Installing Ricks Patch into the same folder as image(s).
3) Apply the Patch.
4) Patch runs, then gives me the error message as described earlier.
If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

Everytime I hit Apply on the patch it comes up with the error message: The Operating System Denied Access To The Specified File. C:\Docume~1\User\Locals~1\Temp\DRK-MRC.COM. Is there anything I can really do to fix this?

dbldggr, make sure you put the iso and the patch in their own directory. there shouldnt be anything else in that directory, just the iso and patch
ps2 v7 with matrix infinity and 160gb hdd
pioneer a05 dvd-rw
Nero Burning Rom
Windows XP Pro
psp with 3.40oe-a custom firmware
Gamecube with SD Media launcher, SD Gecko, and Action Replay.

Well I did have them both in their own path, but just in case anyone else wants to know, one thank you for trying to help, and two, if you're getting this problem put the iso and patch in your local settings\temp folder, when you hit apply for the patch, it will come up with that error, but the DRK-MRC.COM file is in the folder just for the time the error message is left open, so leave the error up, then double click the DRK-MRC.COM file and it will go through everything and make the new .iso file you need. Then after it's all complete just close the patch and all the temp files that opened for the patch will go away and you're left with your iso, the patch, whatever else was in the temp folder, and the new iso that you can use your burning software to make the game, and it worked for me and I was burning at a 6x rate, oops for going to fast, but oh well, it always works for me. Thank you though man for trying to help me. Hope I can help at least one other person.

I have not been able to figure out how to put the patch with my mercenaries iso file. How do I get them all into one file and then burn it to blank dvd-r? I am using DVD Decrypter.
