thanx Wulfie66, Now for a strech, I ran the patch and I got another ISO file, I guess I just dont know what I'm doing, is there a walkthrough somewhere, and again thanx in advance!!

skorpeo, all you have to do is burn the iso that the patch created and you'll be all set
ps2 v7 with matrix infinity and 160gb hdd
pioneer a05 dvd-rw
Nero Burning Rom
Windows XP Pro
psp with 3.40oe-a custom firmware
Gamecube with SD Media launcher, SD Gecko, and Action Replay.

Does this work with the PAL version of Mercenaries? (the exe file that is)
And if not: the original link to the manual fix is broken. Can someone point me to where exactly it is described how to make this work with a PAL version?

ive just tried this with a PAL iso and im still stuck on the loading screen
i have a messaih 2 pro chip in my ps2
sniff sniff i really want to back up my [COUGH]legitimate copy

I got it to work...but I have one problem and I am wondering if you guys have the same...
The game takes forever to load and even when it does, it pauses for loading every 10 seconds or so and has some serious pop up issues.
Somebody told me that this is fixed on the SlimPS2 and it runs fine...is this true?

I've got the old v7 ps2 with a fliptop and after patching the iso, it runs fine. It does take a bit to load initially, but after that it's fine. No sound 'issues' either.

I have a V7 with a Matrix Infinity Installed and it works fine also in my Son's V5 with a Flip Top. I use the original Iso with no patch for mine though.

Hi guys, I read all the topic, I read and burned my iso with DVD Decrypter and it doesn't work.
So i patched it with the patch you showed me some pages ago, but the screen frezees too.
I tryed to do the manually configuration with isobuster... but it doesn't create the .000 and .001 files.
Maybe your patch is only for the usa version?
My game is PAL.
PLEASE HELP ME!

Hey,
i rebuilt my PAL version mercenaries 2day using the method described for a star wars game which works 100% with mercenaries (im on the 2nd level/contract n no probs so far), which can be found here:

When i extract the files with isobuster in a folder, they are rearranged in alphabetic order!
Do i need to put them in the originary order when i drag then into cdvdgen? And the files in the dvd folder too? (dataps2 and irx)

u need 2 drop the files into CDDVDGen in the same order as they appear in ISOBuster, u dont need 2 sort out the contents of the folders tho.

I founded star.000 ,star.001 and also star.002!
Do i have to build the .002 with the others?
Building 000 + 001 my iso is 1,99gb, is it ok?

u will need to use this commmand in the DOX box:
COPY/B STAR.000 + STAR.001 + STAR.002 STAR.ISO
The reason of this is because Mercenaries is bigger than the star wars game used in the example.
I think my rebuilt ISO was about 2.4GB big in the end.

non patched PAL copy worked with cd loader and an original game with a larger TOC than MERCENARIES. Would not work when SM2 (smaller TOC)used after cd loader.

I am having trouble with the dvdrick patch. When I Try to open DRK-MRC.iso in DVD Decrypter it says "Invalid or unsupported image file format". Any insight to this problem will be greatly appreciated.

ok i know a lot of people are also having the same problem as I am. I carefully read this and i keep getting the error Autoexec.nt and i went to the link

to fix it but i still can't get rid of that error!!! It's driving me nuts this is the only game i have had stress with. God of War no problem . Mercenaries is making my hair turn gray!!! please help!!!

Yeah I don't have my Windows XP disk anymore so does anyone know how else I can repair these files. I got the game working using the cogswap disk but I don't have a disk bigger than it. It works with the original MERCS disk as the swap but I don't have any other bigger disks so I want to try to patch.

ok dude click on that link that i gave you and create those 2 files in notepad and save them in your windows system32 folder. trust me it does work. after that it takes a while for the prog to make an image but after you burn the image the game works with swap magic.
