Hey does it matter the burn speed I use to write my ps2 game to a dvd?? Thats the only part I havent figured out yet and thought I should know before my flip top and switch discs arrive.

No, speed does not matter. The program you use may have speed limits but as for the burner, it does not matter.

i have burned everything from movies to games etc, I have used the 2x 4x and 8x dvd's and they all work with a deccent burner.
So from my exp, speed does not matter, but with a shitty burner you might want to burn slower .

Well, I can't backup because it gives error in every burning application I've tried. My Dreamcast backup boot cd can be burned and it still boots other backups...

If that so, why doesn't the game companies use that system that blocks backups?

I think it has something to do with not being able to load. Which, backups of ps2 originals cannot load without a boot disc. So basically, even if you got a burned copy of SwapMagic, you would need an original copy of SwapMagic to boot it, so it's pretty much pointless.

ak1ra you are WASTING your time, just buy them if you do not have one, and if you do use it and stop trying to backup it up. Waste that energy burning more games and movies.

YOU CAN NOT BACKUP THE SWAP MAGIC DISK. LOOK AT THE FACE OF IT, its physically different then normal cd/dvd's and because of this will not allow you to burn it properly.

Are you referring to the gap rings on the burn side? I thought this occurs every time you write multiple times to CD's and DVD's. I have a number a CD-R's I write to every now and then and every time I write again to it, it skips (creates a gap). Does this mean that if you write multiple times to a disc you can't copy it?

what are you talking about, they come with instructions. My question is Do you know of away to Make copies of PS2 games and have the ability to play the backup on the PS2 without the Magic Swap Disk or a MOD Chip? If there is a way I think we all we be interested. Saves having to spend extra money on PS2 Modifications and voiding the PS2 warranty.
