and herrick Taiyo Yuden ISN'T making DVD+R DL as of yet, sure wish they would though[/quote]
I know this, I was just commenting on the fact that TYs are good media and that I have had good luck on the RIDATA media, but as you stated the Verbs are far greater and I love and use them as much as I can.

You will like ImgBurn doing DLs. The learning curve is a little harder picking the correct drive to read and where to put the file but you can figure it out if I did. LOL The build mode is similar. But works like decrypter but better. ImgBurn will select the optimum layer break.
Creating a double layer ISO on your hard drive using ImgBurn

There's not much of a learning curve here for QSuite-set and forget it. The tabs. Info-just gives drive and disc info. Booktype-I have mine set to booktype to DVD-ROM for +R,+DLR, and +RWR. Q Scan -just set at normal and it is a quality scan. WOPC mine is enabled-self explanatory. Test wrtite -disabled. Solid burn-Mine is activated for supported and unsupported discs. Overspeed I set at disable.
If anyone sees any faults in my set up let me know.

If you ripped it from a DVD then you should run it through shrink to get rid of all the junk such as piracy warnings ;)
Then it should fit...

Well I use AnyDVD -> Shrink -> Nero
I haven't ever burnt an ISO of a DVD before, only VOBs...
Unless DVDdecrypter take off all the crap, then you need shrink (i dont know cos i dont use it).

You can set DVD Decrypter to rip movie only mode. If the folder is small enough (4.38 gb or less) you can then burn to a dvd directly from your hdd bypassing any transcoding/encoding.

Your welcome, no problem. That way is just easier and bypasses some steps (and time) if you prefer movie only an the folder is small enough.

Everybody has their preferences and favorites. I like to remove previews, warning screens, music videos, and adverts but save most of the other extras with dvdremake and then encode to fit a DVD5 using dvd-rb/cce. Not for everybody since it is much more time consuming. Just a hobby for me.

hey guys remember i had an issue with a batch of dvds from TY ? well the last ones from say 10 or so came out bad , the original dvds were some new and some light scract as usual , and the results were some pause for a couple of secs then continue some a littl bit of squres and what not .... i was told that no factory is perfect on media type but is ty screwing up lately or should i just buy my next batch from them? cuz i dont care of the price im more about quality wise ..... like printable surface ( yes it matters too) and 8x or 16x? i really love the ideal of being able to finish the burns in 6 ish mins or so ....

According to your screen shot the file you're copying is 8,450,...,...bytes and the inset confirms it 8,508. If your doing a DL disc to a 4.7BG disc then you have to shrink the file to fit. Open the file that Imgburn created in Shrink and compress it to fit 4.7gb disc and set it to burn with Nero, Decrypter or burn shrunk ISO image manually with ImgBurn.
If you are doing a Single layered movie than build the ISO with Imgburn and then write the ISO with ImgBurn. And use same way when copying DL movies to DL blanks and let Imgburn select the layer break.
