I bought some Verbs (TYs) - YUDEN000T03 - a few months back (maybe 1.5/2) and they are fine disks. Not one coaster out of 25 disks so far :)

non-AD links can go in your shoutbox profile but not in the sigs - so that 1 has to go too

but i have been looking at TY's online and some places have them as valueline and others premiumline is there a difference in the 2. i know IMHO just the name says it all. iw as wondering if anyone has used both and compared the 2?

I have used both from SMS. The only difference I have noticed is that valueline has been TYGO2, while you get TYGO3 once in a while with premium.

Rob SMS now has the Taiyo Yuden value-line advertised in the 8x speed but you may get the 16x depending on what they ship

i have been getting the 8x speed again the last couple months and have better luck with them .i think i have gone though at least 400 without a coaster

If you get the Taiyo 8x that means you should burn at 4x? or 8x would be ok.

by the way,
if you check on the customer feedback for those value line.
someone saids it is "crappy media and would not buy again".
However, some of th guys in here claim its almost as good as
the tyg02. But at $.23 it should be worth a try.

@cincirob,
Where's the Cincinnati Red's Guy, didn't know it was you until I looked at the name. lol. I have had good luck with the TYG03 value line I purchased from AllMediaOutlet but I think a better deal can be had with SMS or Meritline. I also have the Sony branded TY's in TYG03 and YUDEN T02's and the 'value line' is as good in my opinion to the 'premimum'. I initially took my advise from aabbccdd and he has burned 100's maybe 1000's. Doc has said in the past they are as good as well. lol.
PS: Haven't forgotten about the Iron Maiden shirt.

@Ripper,
Your sig is so distracting, where can I get one??? LOL. The one with the Anime!

@dvd808,
I have had good luck burning the 16x media at 8x and the 8x media at either 4x or 8x without much noticable difference. I don't have as many burns as some of the gurus but I do have a few hundred. lol.

So the agreement seems to be as long as you use good quality dvd's, then full speed is fine?

@greensman

lol yea i thought i give MR Red a break he has been working hard. plus i wasnt sure if it would be to much in my SIG box. dont want to be distracting to others...
i had seen that post on SMS.com about the valueline not being as good of quality as the premiumline. it kinda knocked me back a step.

guess im gonna need to buy a couple hundred disc soon. gotta redo about a 100 burns of mine......
if anyone doesnt know i started a thread in the Nero discussion (post your Nero cd/dvdspeed scans here). seeing i got a burner now that can do the scans i didnt want to get anyone pee'd off at me for posting them in here. it has taken off better than i thought it would.
back to redoing 100 movies, my stupid azz put them adheasive covers on the disc and i think im paying for it now. got out my star wars collection and scanned them and was AWWWWWFULLLL...

but i guess it give me a excuse to get some more hub printable TY's....lol so i will tell the wife..lmao

this is what i was seeing at SMS.com about the valueline

Quote:
What is Taiyo Yuden ?Value Line? DVD media?
?Value Line? DVDs are made by Taiyo Yuden but don?t meet their high standards for premium DVDs. Then the manufacturer sells them as ?Value Line?

Are Value Line DVDs made in Japan?
Same as premium Taiyo Yuden DVDs, Value Line DVDs are also made in Japan by Taiyo Yuden.

What is the media code for Value Line DVD?
You may receive DVDs with ?TYG02? or ?TYG03? codes.

Is there any warranty for the Value Line DVDs?
SuperMediaStore.com offers 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee for All Value Line DVDs.

@cincyrob,
I looked on Meritline and they have the 8x DVD-R white inkjet hub-printables for $31.99 shipped. If you think that 200 is too many to try just get the 100 pack from Meritline and see what you think. I looked and it didn't say anything about a 30 day limit but you should know in the first 5-10 burns anyway. lol. I know that you looked already but there they are.
