Please exsplain your point? Do you burn your 8x @ 8? I am totaly aware of the quality of Plextor and God knows I want 3 but do you think that holds true on my drives and others? [condidering the media only being TYs or verbs] and some sony MIJ thrown in there once in a while?

herrick, burning DVDs above 8x isn't recommend by most members in here or me you get to many read PI/PO errors etc.burning that fast. i know some burn at 12x or even 16x but its just not a good idea to do so.
Yes i burn my 8x Taiyo Yuden at 8x with no problems considering i have a pretty good rig lol
and you having the BenQ burner you should be fine burning TYGO2s or Verbatim at 8x
i wouldn't recommend burning mid to low grade media(Ritek,Prodisc etc.) at there rated speed though. i would go half the rated speed there. burning 8x rated media at 4x to be safe

I say something once in a while, BUT am always reading LOL

Well, the only reason kept me away from buying the
TYG03 at SMS is because they are little more expensive.
200 TYG03@76.99 is 20 bukcs more then I paid for
those Verby 16x(200@56.20).
The other reason for going with Verbs is because I thought some
of the guys in here mentiond they were 2nd best if the Ty's are the best.
Thanks for your advice and its truely appreciated.

herrick,
I would avoid prodisc media. From my experiences, they usually burn ok initially but get the dreaded dye rot and usually experience playback problems in 6 months to a year.

my epson is the R320 model.i love it, its fast and quiet. cant beat that there. i got mine at HHgregg here in cincinnati. it was $149 with a $50 mail in rebate.so once i get the rebate it will cost only $99.thats pretty sweet there.
i not only use it for printing onto the disc, i use it for all my printing. compaired to my lexmark i would have allready used 4 ink carts on the lexmark, and im still on my first set of carts in the epson
