how are the YUDEN000T3s? I have strictly used either TYG02,TYG03s,and YUDEN000T2s and my LightScribe disks are Verbatim (MCC)16x DVD+Rs. Never had a chance to use the Taiyo Yuden 16x DVD+Rs......till meritline just put them up on sale... or I just noticed them and bought my first 100 of those. soooooooooooo how are those YUDEN00T3s? And when will Taiyo Yuden come up with a LightScribe disk of their own?

on the offical black friday thread someonr posted that Fuji 25packs will be on sale for $4.99 at kmart. i went to my local kmart and found about 20-25 packs of these fuji's that are MIJ... guess where im going friday morning..lol

thank you Creaky.... I am trying them out on my BenQ 1655 ..... will get them next week. can't wait..... most of the YUDEN000T2s come up fine on my BenQ with Nero Speed Test.

Were do I find the "Test the disc results" that you all
use to see the quality after a burn? I have Nero 6 but
can't seem to find this application. You all are great
and have learned a lot from this thread!

Use Nero CD Speed. It's in your start folder somewhere. Then go to "Disk Quality" tab. then scan it X)

I think I am going to return my tygo2 to sms and
get those tyg03s.

i personaly didnt like how the service was with that company and i cant belive they are like sister / brother to supermedia store , but i recommend gettnig them from supermedia store , of course it could be that i was 1 of the unlucky person to get delayed or maybe this is how they do it ??? iduuno good luck n e ways
btw : guys i got my ty g02 again and clonedvd2 indicates the burn speed is 4x wtf??? and yes the options are selected as maximum ill try 8x any ruomers on ty messing up ?

@gus.......the writer recognizing the disk and the software works accordingly....... sooooooooooo if you write at max and that's 4x when it should be 8x ...... then it's the burner and the software together are the culprit and resulting to burning at 4x only. soooooo I have full confidence in Taiyo Yuden's TYG02s are just fine, but I presume it's your burner ...... check the firmware and make sure it's updated to the newest available.

I think you are just unlucky with the experience with the meritline.
I havent bought from them before so I wont know how it goes yet.
The reason i ddint want to buy from SMS is because i have little problem with them. One of the order of the tyg02 arriving damage. the cake box was shatter and stuff. so i try to not buy from them unless i have to. however, i did just bought another 200 tygo2 from them and hoping this time it will arrive unharmed.

@Yujenh......I just ordered them on them on Sunday. So I think I'll get them by Friday. I bought many things from Meritline.com and they have always been great! I even bought my BenQ 1655 and they were great then, too. Since then I have bought about 400 Taiyo Yuden Disks and have been thoroughly satisfied.

First of all I know it's all preference but why do you guys want to burn so fast. 8X on movies should be all you want to go anyway to prevent errors and coasters.
@Yujenh,
Those 8X's should burn at 8X no prob and overburn if you want to push your luck, assuming your drive will support it. Just suffer through them and order the 16X next time. lol.
@gus,
I agree with IHoe! Something has to be over looked, a software or firmware problem. I have 3 LITEON's, a Samsung, and a BENQ and they will all burn an 8X disc at 8X, but they do all have updated f/w.

i too receive a shater cake box ( new style the way it closes right?) anyways i didnt even care about the case being shaterd the disc were fine and that you can blame to ups not sms , i just hope you get lucky with mertline cuz they were hell slow like 2 weeks maybe more i forgot??? and it wasnt even holiday anyways personaly i dont think thats a good enough excuse to not purchase from sms but with mertline experice i think u'll go with sms again good luck
oh and guys i goofed it was set to 4x lol
PS : should i bother checking if i have the latest fw on my drives?
