Okay,
Thanks for the info,
no i do not have a dvd printer,
what i do is after the dvd is done burning,
i have a labeler(i think i spelt it right)
sorry i have bad spelling,
anyway,
i put small thin lables on the top of the disk,
with the name of the disk,
because my writing sux lol
btw,
since im talking about this,
do any of you guys use lables?
on your dvds?
and also does it hurt to put the label on the dvd before burning
(if i remember)
i apply the label after burning but sometimes,
i forget.
so do it screw up the burning or..?
hope all that made sence(lol)
thanks,
Stan

I second that about those 4 on-line stores, I personally prefer supermediastore.com but the other 3 are also good.

Stan,
Don't use the labels anymore!! I haven't heard anything good from using them. lol. I have heard that when you use them it throws the disc out of balance and causes other problems on top of that. ;)
Hopefully someone that has used them will respond but it's a NO NO at my house. Like ZoSo said SHARPIES!!

the green man is right, they will screw up your disc's and computer, of course not always but why take a silly chance on expensive equipment, sharpies all the way.

I agree with the other guys . do not in any circumstance put a label on a dvd. I did early on and had 100% failure rate on over a hundred. I would prefer to be skinned and rolled in salt before I would ever put a label on a dvd again

I don't even put labels on CDR's anymore!! Many of the CD's I put a label on have become partially or totally unreadable. Dug up one yeaterday & only 50% of it was readable so I put what files I could save from it on the hard drive then tossed the disc. Put a label on a DVD? No way!! It's either a sharpie or inkjet printable media for both DVD's or CD's......

+Rs are more expensive so they must be better LOL--you can book type them. I have no idea either since I've burned probably 3 -Rs in 4 years. Good question.

but hell $57 for 200 shipped that is getting to hard for me to pass up..
edit to add.

whatis the difference in these and the other 8x-r's

quality??? i havent seen these before? alot cheaper also
Rob it doesn't make any sense that they are that much different in price. I don't think it would matter which discs you got BUT I would go for the ones that are $29.99 shipped. Just me but I like my money and a $10 savings is GOOD in my book. lol.
You already know what I think about the TYG02 discs so I don't think you could go wrong unless you DON'T buy them.... :P

I've answered this a million times lol, its marketing. they football the DVD dash R and make money on the DVD plus R format
Quote: i haven't burnt alot of -r's are they as good as the +r's or any difference?
Rob all i use is the DVD dash R well 98% anyway yeah there fine. actually i think the DVD plus R are hyped to much but its personal choice. the structure is the difference between the two formats JoeRyan could give us more detail I'm sure

My LSU Tigers just beat the stuffing out of your Buckeyes. Did you really believe OSPooh could beat the SEC in a bowl game. 0-9 and counting. I'm glad we weren't the first to loose. 31 unanswered points on that defense!! Geaux Tigers!! National Champs-this time the AP agrees LSU #1 Georgia #2 and 5 total SEC teams in top 15! What a great football season. I have a bad hangover this am. It's time Big Ten and Pac Ten have championship games like the rest of the country. I'll take all the TYs now!!:)

I also prefer supermediastore, the +R disc seem to work best for me.I print most of the copys I make,I have a Epson R260. It is getting harder to find the compatible refills for the R260 and the name brands are way to costly, I may have to go back to the sharpie myself soon.Anyone knows where to get the good Epson compatible refills ?Ty and batim all the way.
