loading screen? man this is crazy...i don't have a freaking clue as to why you can't get it to load...i know this is repetitive but you placed the .iml and .ims files in with your created folder? if all is good i don't understand why it wouldn't let it go through...i think i burned mine at 2x and it played fine except for a couple of cut scenes...so i made another but at 1x...(i know you can't burn at 1x) the only thing i can think of is make one more copy but see if you can find a burner that will go slower....sorry man

wait a minute...i think you burned everything right and you have a working back up...i think the problem is with you swap magic disk..i know your supposed to use the dvd loader with this game..i don't have much experience with older swap magic disk....i'm using swap magic 3.3 and i used the dvd version...you may want to get the newer swap magic...

I am having a problem that many people have had but alot have not been able to solve in this thread. To give u the jist of it, GOW is freezing at the sony computer opening screen. Ive followed everything perfectly when rebuilding the isu. I try to load is using SM2.0 with dvd loader and no pn. And it wont work. Im using dvd loader properly cuz i use it for a bunch of other games as well. Anyone experienced this and kno how to solve it. The only thing i can think of is my godofwar.toc file. Because the godofwar.toc_new that i got from the tool was alot smaller than the original one. But maybe its suppose to be like that. Thanx in advance for ur help.

I followed guide exactly, and had a problem that isn't posted. I got 7.12GB total after extracting both layers. After deleting all .PSW files, relinking step(all Bonus files to the same .PSS file), and the "Tidying Up" step I get 2.67GB. I started from scratch and still got the exact same 2.67GB so I went ahead and burned disk, booted with Swapmagic 3.3 and got message saying disk was invalid. Any suggestions?

Is it safe to assume if one has a mod chip that we don't have to do all of this extra stuff, and just back it up on a DL?

after seeing the tekken5 patch in action how it boots like a dvd loader. why doesn't someone make it for this DVD-5 conversion of GOW. or GT4 for that matter.

i patched GOW with tekken5 patch. it booted like tekken5 patched but failed to validate it when trying to continue from dvd loader. so it's possible right? why not do it for all games that need dvd loader?

Very quick question, help is appreciated: would God of War be readily playable if I just decrypt and burn it as-is onto a dual-layer DVD-R? Thanks.

From what I've read, it will if you have a mod chip installed.
