Total newbie here. When I extracted all my files from Munge-o-matic and looked in my "extracted folder to delete my psw files, there were none. I sorted files by type but I think my computer is listing them as PSS files. Please help.

okay, by looking at the tutorial I could identify the files without their psw extensions so I went ahead and deleted those. Hope it works.

I wouldnt if you would be kind enough to help me out.
I am having a real nightmare with apache2, ive been trying to back up god of war and followed the tutorial, ive used DVD Decrypter and made me a godofwar.iso how big should this file be on the c drive?????? (coming out at 4.28 GB) and then made a folder God on the c drive but when i open apache2 and then try to open the godofwar.iso it just hangs and hangs and comes up not responding and i have to kill it, downloaded a few now and all are the same.

ive got 49 gig of space left running ntfs and plenty of memory

it is coming out to 4.29gb after you read the disk with DVD Decrypter? How many file is DVD Decrypter creating for god of war? there should be two...if there are anymore files other than two then your settings on your DVD Decrypter need to be set so that they are not seperating the files

yeah it should make those two files..is this the initial reading your getting from dvd decrypter(before you are using gow tool)? you may want to download apache 2 again....just a thought...i don't know anything about munge o matic...but i would have just initially read the original disk with dvd decrypter(I swear by this thing),created an empty desktop folder name it gow, sent that iso(7.9gb)and the two files from the gow tutorial(.iml and .ims) to that folder, ran apache 2 to extract the first layer then the second, loaded gow tool extracted GODOFWAR.TOC file, delete all of the BONUS.PSS and .PSW files, rebuild the GODOFWAR.TOC file(using gow tool), relink everything(don't forget to put all of bonus files in the SAME .pss file), Delete "PART1.PAK, PART2.PAK, GODOFWAR.TOC", rename GODOFWAR.TOC_NEW to GODOFWAR.TOC,PART1.PAK_NEW to PART1.PAK, PART2.PAK_NEW to PART2.PAK, rename your desktop folder something other than you had before (i renamed mine "game") and import the iml file using apache and build the iso, and then burn at 1x with dvd decrypter

all of this from the tutorial..if you follow it word for word...it turns out a great game...good luck

Can anyone in this site help me? I got up to the MOM relink. I pushed the auto relink, but when I am trying to manually relink the psw to pss.... all the pss files are on the left side. I have very few files on the right side. Please help. I have spent hours just getting up to this step. Thanks

i am following the tutorial from this site....

http://www.backuptools.co.uk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=view...

the tutorial that tells you how to back up th game WITH all the bonus movies.

i am at the part where you use TMPEGenc to create new M2V files. the tutorial only says to include the video file(the previous section in the tutorial has you splitting the PSS files into seprate video and audio files). so shouls i also include the audio file in the new M2V file thats being created?

also, the tutorial keeps mentioning to use a couple of BAT files(join.bat, and split.bat) that are supoosed to come with PSSplex, which i downloaded from the saem site i listed above, but there are no BAT files that came with PSSplex... anyone know where i can get those files?

i am trying to rebuiild get god of war working today so i would appriciate a quick answer if anyone can help

yes so far it looks like you are doing everything correct...i just don't understand how you are getting an iso that is 4.29gb without have to rebuild the game....just try to read the file and then use DVD Decrypter to write it...(if the file is 4.29gb it should fit on a dvd...i would try to back it up with out adding those two files from the tutorial first, but if that doesn't work then just create a folder andput that 4.29gb iso file in it and then copy the two files from the tutorial over to that file (.iml and .ims) and try to write it with dvd decrypter) i just don't understand why you are getting such a small file with DVD Decrypter....good luck

drdkins

what files do you have left over on the right side after you auto relink them....?

I haven't seen this problem on the thread so far:
I cannot create one 7.97GB file using cd/dvd decripter because I am operating on Windows 98 (FAT32) which will not allow me to create a file over 4GB. So everytime I decript I get three files (2 large files and an .MDS file)

Anyone have some advice other than upgrading to Windows XP?

Thnx

i know that in sonix's gow tutorial...he states that his backup is for pcs that have the NTFS file system not FAT32...if i hear of anyway that you can back it up with the FAT32 then i will post the guide...sorry man...but you may have to do it right now with a computer that is running Windows XP

Alright man i did a little looking around and found out that with your current windows (95/98..i'm assuming)you are creating smaller files..that's ok...just whenever you go to burn the file using DVD Decrypter just select the .MDS file created with Decrypter and it will join all those .ISO's for you by it self....i haven't tried this but it's supposed to work...good luck

Thanks evenflow. However, Apache 2 doesn't seem to like using the .MDS file. And everything I have read on this thread says that Apache 2 needs one 7.97 iso.

cddvdgen ------> http://home.versatel.nl/joeriroels/Download/download.html

If your using swap magic 2.0 you need to boot dvd-loader first.
