Did anyone ever fix God of War music and long freezes problems?
With the dual layer to single layer fix
1) the music skips sometimes
2) at one point in the game, it freezes for 4 minutes while loading
I heard you can fix this with DVD+R? Don't have any on me, can anyone confirm?

the only long load is on level 14. turn on wide screen turn off soften to correct this.
Ive now been told if you change the cd checks in the files from dvd+r dl to dvd-r cd checks using dvd scan 3.7 it removes the problem all together. having not made it to level 14 i cant verify.

just rename the folder that you have gow in (the 3.47gb one) then you should be able to build the iso...but remember to burn it at 1x or 2x no higher otherwise you will have skippy cutscenes...good luck

@ mather
Rename the folder your files are in to 'GODOFWAR' ( without the ' ).
it will only recognize them if the folder is named exactly that.
(This has been covered several times in this thread also BTW.)

Hello all, thanks for all the great stuff on this site!
I have read all the other post about this but mine still does not work.
I have a question about God of War.
I follow all of Sonix steps, but when I go to build an iso file it gets messed up.
I import the IML file using apache "GodOfWar.iml"
apache opens the file and I see the layout.
I go to build an ISO then I browse where I want it saved.
I click ok and I get an error that reads:
Couldn't find 'GODOFWAR\SYSTEM.CNF'!Aborting...
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
D

alright here we go....you have to rename the god of war folder(the 3.47gb one)...then you will be able to build the iso...you can just name it anything it doesn't really matter (i just renamed it "game"), just remember what you named it for when you go to write the iso....ooohh yeah when you go to burn it, burn it at 1x or 2x nothing higher...good luck

I did that, I think I need help from when you finish rebuilding. I get to the final steps, then I get the same error. I have change the folder and still nothing. I might just have to start over, I suck LOL.
If anyone knows what else I am doing wrong, could you please help!
Thanks again.

what should the IML file look like when I open it using apache? Maybe I am adding those files to my folder wrong?

This might be a stupid question but, I am following the sonix guide, when I first decrypt the game, I dont get an ISO that is 7 gb.
I get 3 files two are 3 gb big and another is a small file. If I am reading correct, after being up all night trying this out, you should have one big file?
I am starting over as I type this.

Ozzy911, if you are getting three different files after you decrypt the game then you need to set the DVDecrypt program to "dont split the file over 4GBs" or something like that. Once you set it to not split the file you'll get a single 7GB ISO file.

I am trying something else. I think the IML and the other file are bad. I am going to re try the other method.

when you open up the menu from the gow tutorial you see and .exe file and i think both an .iml and .ims(i think that is what it is not at my own computer right now) file....just highlight those two files and copy them over to your gow file(3.47gb one)...and make sure your file name is changed and then just build your image and then write the iso on a good quality dvd(i use Sony dvd-r) and burn it at 1x or 2x(VERY IMPORTANT)

thanks everyone!
I just fixed it. I was having computer problems. I just made a backup and it works great.
Sorry for asking the same question that everyone else had asked, but its hard to read 20 some pages after you have been up all day and night looking at the computer screen trying to backup a game!
