I may have missed this info earlier, but just to recap...

Are the removed movie files in-game cutscenes or just extra trailers or whatever?

I'll back it up if it has all the content, but I may just play my original copy so as not to miss cinematics if that's the case.

(great fix either way, though)

HI:
I made a backup of god of war over the weekend after countless hours trying to figure out the different methods available. My backup seems to work better than most out there since everybody was having issues on the 4th level(freezing),I got as far as the temple of pandora(level 9),as soon as the cutscene ends where you are climbing up chronos and you are about to save, it freezes.Has anybody had a similar situation with their backup or am I the only one that has gotten this far.

Did you rebuild with the sonix tool or did you
get the confusion version.

I used SONIX tool and my backup plays start to finish.

If its the confusion version it freezes too.
There is a thread about the confusion version here.

the thread is here:

Neither one,I used iso buster to extract the iso and cdvdgen and apache v1.0 to rebuild it.I never did anything with the 2nd layer part.2.Whatever I extracted I just made another iso which was 4.1 gig's.I'm at work, so I don't recall most of the steps since i'm not in front of my pc.It was working flawlessly,no skipping, cutscenes intact etc.until I got to pandora's temple, what a tease after seeing all of those voluptuos female,I was dying to see what else sony had instore for us.

SO you're saying you ended the game without any problems(cutscenes intact,I gotta have cutscenes in my rips, otherwise the game is basically mindless)

Hello Jizmak or someone who can help me please:

I'm using Sonix walkthrough & I am almost at the end of it, however It's says:

"Included with this tutorial should be 2 files called "God of war.iml" & "god fo war.ims" which I must place in "god" directory. then to use apache2 to import iml & ims file to be saved in iso.
I don't have or see these mentioned iml & ims file anywhere. where do I go from here.
One this is done I'm ready to rock & roll / burn created iso to dvd5.
Just need to know how to get these iml/ims files.
Thank you,

cddvdgen will create the .iml file
Quote:
a) OPEN CDVDGEN.
b) SELECT ?CREATE NEW PROJECT? AND THEN SELECT ?DVD-ROM
MASTER DISC?. DRAG CDVDGEN TO THE LEFT SIDE OF YOUR
SCREEN.
c) NAVIGATE TO THE FOLDER THAT YOU CREATED ON YOUR HARD
DRIVE BACK IN STEP 2 AND OPEN IT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN.
d) PLACE THE FILES INTO THE SAME ORDER AS THEY WERE ON THE GAME DISK .
e) CLICK ON EDIT > SELECT ALL.
f) DRAG ALL THE FILES INTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF CDVDGEN.
g) LOOK FOR A SLUS OR SLES FILE AND WRITE DOWN THE FULL NAME AND THEN CLICK ON THE ?VOLUME? TAB IN CDVDGEN.
h)TYPE SLUS OR SLES (WHICHEVER YOUR FILE NAME IS) INTO THE 1ST BOX NEAR "DISC NAME"
i) TYPE ALL OF THE NUMBERS FROM YOUR FILE NAME, WITHOUT THE PERIOD, INTO THE 2ND BOX.
j) TYPE PLAYSTATION FOR THE PRODUCER NAME AND SELECT THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE AREA.
k)CLICK ON "REC...".
l)SELECT YOUR DESIRED STORAGE LOCATION AND NAME THE FILE gow.IML
m)YOU WILL GET 2 ERRORS, JUST CLICK OK FOR BOTH.
(If you get one error message, then you have to download ?WNASPI32.DLL? www.Nero.com/us/WNASPI32.DLL.html
and put it in your windows system 32 folder.
n)THE RECORDING SCREEN WILL POP UP, CLICK ON FILE > EXPORT IMAGE AND SAVE IT ON ONE OF YOUR HARD DRIVES (NOT IN A FOLDER) NAME IT gow.LST
o) WHEN IT'S FINISHED, YOU WILL HAVE 4 FILES NAMED gow.000 gow.001 gow.oo2 gow.003.

Open apache 2. Load gow.iml Create .iso

Burn your .iso with DVD Decrypter

Backup works flawlessly using either Jizmak or Sonix procedure. Thanx guys. Using Swapmagic 2, I had to first startup with cd version. Press eject and insert dvd version. Then use the slide tool to swap to backup and press square to load. Hope this helps someone. Thanx again.

ATTENTION... PEOPLE WITH THE SYSTEM.CNF PROBLEM...put those two files.. the .iml and ims or w/e.. put them in the folder above the one with the 15 files... so like if all ur files are in C:/God/GODOFWAR .. put those to files in the C:/God folder... then it should work to make the iso.

I am still having difficulties findind/seeing iml/ims files which is needed to finalize ISO.
I din't have any problems with god system/cnf as I can see this file in my god folder (57 bytes)
but where is iml/ims???
I've followed sonix walkthrough to the point where it says open apache2 & import iml but it can't find it except god folder which is 3.47G

Can someone please assist on how to get these im;/ims files.
Sonix says that it should be included when we extract god of war tool V.1, but I just don't see it.
