Something is wrong,

I have finaly been able to locate IMS/IML file from sonix tutorial which I've put in my god folder & now have total 17 folders including the one which is suppose to be the system.cnf (57 bytes)it has little monitor icon.
When I click on build ISO, it says "couldn't find
godofwar\system.cnf, aborting.
Why am I still getting this message if this is already in the god folder?
Seems few of us are stuck at this last point.
Please help & thank you.

I followed all the directions in this thread and made a successful backup. I played it to the end without any freezing. The whole procedure took around 3 hours. Most of it was wait time.

The iml/lst files are created by cddvdgen.
That is the program that produces 2 errors.
(or if you only get one error you need the drivers).
when you are making the .iso you only should have
6 files.

gow.00 gow.01 gow.02 gow.03 gow.lst gow .iml

These should be in a seperate folder.

You open the gow.iml using apache 2.

The system file should already be in gow.00-03

If its missing the system file because you did not
add the files correctly usind cddvdgen.

If you get the SYSTEM.CNF error when trying to write the image with Apache 2, do the following (from another poster in this thread)

1) Create a folder god on your C drive.

C:\god

2) In this folder, place the .IML and .IMS files (from the SONIX tutorial .zip or from CDVDgen) and create a new folder, call it god2.

C:\god\god2

3) In god2, place all the files on the DVD you've extracted.

Then start Apache 2, go to File -> Import IML file and navigate to the IML file from Step 2.

Hello im new here so be easy on me. I have a question for you when i use DVD Decrypter to make a iso of god of war it comes out to be 7.93 gigs and in the thred that i was reading it said to rip it to your hard drive in iso form and use apache 2 to get the second layer and it said that there sould be 16 files and that the iso should be 7.97 gigs but like i said mine is 7.93 gigs and i only have 15 files. Do you use the oraginal disk with the apache 2 and rip it or do you just use the iso that you made with the DVD Decrypter. thanks

Quote:
that there sould be 16 files and that the iso should be 7.97 gigs
First you make the .iso with dvd decrypter 7.93gb.
make new folder gowbuild
run apache 2
extra layer 0 to gowbuild
extra layer 1 to gowbuild.
The gowbuild should contain the 16 files 7.97gb
(the files will have been extracted NOT IN .ISO form

Hey Guys, God of War is working on HD loader.
I found this, in other site...
So, Anyone who are looking for it, just tell me. I can give you via the e-mail.

This file is for only CD media, not for DVD.
So, just download it, and burn it with Nero using CD.

How much is your Final ISO size?

If you followed Sonix(Jizmark) method exactly, it must be worked correctly.

But, If it dosen't work, there are many cases.

If your lens is not good enough for playing Burned DVD, or if Burned DVD is not good quality for ps2,
It can be.

i followed the turtorial given on sonix's website... all the way thru... everything matched up perfectly. I've burned many dvd's before so i don't think its my lens... I didn't do the Jizmak way tho cuz i thought it'd be better to just do the Sonix way. Idk what the deal is

Jizmak I have a some things to tell you. I think some of the Bonus stuff you need to keep in. I think one of the bonus is the credits because when I beat the game on the real disc that I rented I got the credits but when you told everyone to delete all the bonus I think the credits and one of the trailers were part of it so I was missing the credits it just should some scenes in the game. Also to add does your sound stutter sometimes in the game?

Is there a way to downsample the PSS files so maybe the game could fit on one CD?

Hope someone can help:

Using apache2 & sonix tutorial I've gone as far as "build iso" but at this point, like many others I get "godofwar\system\cfn error" aborting.
I don't know what I am doing wrong, I've spend hours since last night trying to figure what I've done wrong but can't find any solution.
At what point do I need to put ims/iml file in god folder?
I have these there plus system icon in the god folder but error message keeps coming back everytime "Build iso" on apache2 is clicked.
Seems many have found solution for this, can you please assist & if you indeed had thsi error message what did you do to get it to work.
Thank you,
Thank you,

After I extract both layers with Apache2 and open up the GOD of War tool and go to the God folder and select the GODOFWAR.TOC file and then hit Extract it says error opening PART2PAK.I am doing it just like the tutourial on Sonix web site.I had to clear off some disk space in the middle of the extracting the second layer,do you guys think that I may have somehow corrupted some files by doing that.

No matter what I do, error message keeps appearing.
Both iml/ims are in god folder but once I click on "Build ISO" in apache 2,
that stupid error message "Couldn't find godofwar\system\cnf - aborting"
pops-up.

I am starting to think that I must be doing something wrong, because quite few people had very same problem & based on what I most got it to work but I still can't get mine.
I've spend over 48 hrs trying to get this going but no luck
Any suggestions at this point will be appreciated & thank you.
I sound frustrated, don't I..........

My understanding is if you manually moved the files around.
Thats what is causing the problem.

Im still tyring to help you guys!!!!!!

The comments below were posted by Sonix:

Make sure the iml and ims files are in the correct folder - they are suppposed to be in 'God' folder (not GODOFWAR folder).
If the problem still occurs try adding the full path to the iml file. You can open the iml file in notepad and you will see the filelist of the game - just edit each line to include the full game path instead of a partial path.

I'm currently working on a 'new tool' which will replace apache and you may have better luck with the new one... it's still quite a long way off though
If you simply want to view/extract the iso in question add me to your msn (@hotmail.com) and I'll send you an exe of my new project that should allow you to do this

if you follow the tutorial on sonix site... it will all work perfectly... people need to just learn to read and reread something if they dont get it.

i had the same issue with the error not finding whatever.. then reread and it was obvious... nice job by the way on this nice tool... i have to load my swap magic.. then cdloader tho... which is a pain in the ass...

anyone know if the cdloader burned on the dvd is supposed to still be spinning when you swap it out? offtopic but....
