Hi nippofan
Apache 3 is in the kit. Make sure you follow Alkohol's guide for GT4. If you need any other PS2 stuff visit the PS2Modz Paradise site

Hi there,

I kindly need the below-mentioned programs

Apache 3
Dvd 5 ripper
Sonix PSS Downsampling Tool V1.01
CD DVD GEN 1.5
Gnie's IML2ISO v4

I tried on the links but it seems that those have been removed, I really appriciate if someone could help me in this regard, because most of the PS2 dvds are coming in DVD9 format and it is almost impossible to create backup without these programmes.
I am looking forward to any good advise.

Hi guys, hope this helps

Q I kindly need the below-mentioned programs

@ topgun555 look on page 30 of this thread

Q does the GT4 burning guide on page 5 work for normal DVD discs???

@ Physique Yes but not everyone can get it to work. But it worked for me following Alkohol's guide.
Apache 3 will still work , just close the download & click OK to starburn.

Also you will probably get error messages when you use the down sampling tool,if so check Paddymail's tips [getting error when using pss down sampling tool]

"PSS Plex"

"Component 'ACTIVESKIN.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

Hi Physique

Mine is PAL version & I down sampled to 50% & used the PAL snes nbrs & I told you there would be errors so read Paddymails tips to fix them . This is the first rip I have ever done & I am still learning also, so good luck .

Hi Physique

Like I said it does not work for everyone, some mod chips don't seem to be able to read GT4 rips, my son has a V9 with a modbo chip & my copy will not work in his. If you know someone with a chipped PS2 try your copy in their's.

I tried the GT4 method... that's on this page here, doesn't work for me. but i'm using swap magic. maybe will work when I get my modchip.

however, i'm sure it will work for other games. the whole purpose of the tool, as it seems to me, is to reduce the sampling rate for the in-game movies, thus reducing the data size of the game's disc image.

try it on other games.
_but, first find a system that your GT4 copy works on.

i still dont get what the difference is between doing this, and just copying it using either DVDX Copy, or just copying it w/ Nero?

the difference is data size.

try buying some dual-layer dvd-r's, and you'll understand.

Hi everyone,
I finally got Swap Magic, and burnt the GT4 backup (need to be DVD5 for SwapMagic).

BUT it cuts off the picture on HD (1080i) on my Sony 42" plasma :( .

See screenshot. Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried all settings on

the TV, but nothing helps.

I've come this far, and it doesn't like my TV :(

When I rebuild Fifa World Cup 06 using the exPERT tool, I run into a problem. When it finishes rebuilding, I am left with an iso file titled NEW-FWCG2k6.iso. Problem is, this file is only 355mb, which makes me think it wont work if i burn it to a DVD. I also have a file folder titled @-FWCG2k6.ISO, that is 2.46GB. What do I do?

wow! what's the original file size of that one?
if it's less than 4.7gb, then the rebuilder tool is unecisary in some steps. if you are just trying to get the dummy files fixed, that's something altoghether different.

Hi mrsds,
Yeah it works. It would work in HD aswell, if it wasn't for my TV.
I have 'Swap Magic Coder 3 Plus' (the one with v3.8 on the DVD). But it should work for other version aswell.
I used Verbatim 8x DVDs (DVD+R or DVD-R didn?t make a difference for me). I couldn?t get 16x, but they are still the good ?advanced azo? ones.
I followed the instructions EXACTLY: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/5/275350
When I was doing it 2 weeks ago, I had trouble getting the programs. But now ?Sonix GT4 kit? is available online again. MAKE SURE YOU GET IT, it has all the programs you need (just register for free on that forum): http://www.alucard.cc/forums/?module=Downloads;sa=dlview;id=2461
I also have ?Magic Key Pro v3?, since I didn?t want to use the flip tops lid.
I had to convert my Hard disk to NTFS, though (since 4gb is the max for FAT32. And you can aslo read my error message problems on the last 2 pages. But they were easily solved.
