you dont create the iso in DVD Decrypter - only write it - you create the iso with apache 2 once you have all the files you created (gow.iml, 001, ....)
then you'll have the iso file which you simply write to disc with dvd decypter.
it's all in the original post on this thread if you follow it really carefully.

I had problems on my first backup - On a verbatim DVD-R 8x burned at 4x. I found that the start movie where he's standing on the cliff always errored and paused the game. I made another backup, this time using the pss downsizing version rather than the TMPGEnc one. If you've used TMPG to encode your pss files, try using the pss tutorial (Number 3). I also found that just before you use Munge-O-Matic to compile the pak files, its a good idea to make a backup of all the files in the extracted folder. Sometimes MOM doesn't come up with the relinking process and screws everything up.

At Metalmike: It looks like DVD Decrypter is having trouble copying the game over. Most likely problem is that the disc is scratched. When you copy it does the speed start decreasing before this error? Does the buffer start increasing? If so you need to clean the disc and try again.
At Dsouth: After you add all the files and configure everything, click on file then "export iml file". Save it in the same directory as the game files. Then open Apache3 - if you dont have this then go to backuptools.co.uk and download one of the tutorials that contains it. Now open apache3, and go to File > Create > ISO from IML file. Select the iml file you just saved and then let it do its thing. Then after its finished, burn that iso using DVD Decrypter, Nero or whatever.

If you have a dvd recorder that is able to burn dual layered dvds, can you use dvd encryptor to back up dual 9 games, given that you use a double layered dvd r?

I have a weird problem now,
I fallowed his second tuturial to keep all the movies just downsample them, went through everything, down converted the videos without a problem but I did the compression way to low (I set it to 25% cause it looked fine on my computer), I burn it and it plays perfectly fine, just thoughs movies are EXTREMELY blocky, so I have tried to rebuild the game (only with the compression at 75%, it stays under the limit for the dvd5) only problem is whenever I run the God of war tool or the Mung-o-matic (I think that's the name) they ALWAYS freeze at a certain file, for the GOWTool it's the file PAN1C5_something, for MOM it's the movie file SEMO05.PSS.
the first time I never had any problems what so ever, the second time no problems till the re-linking, I hit the auto relink and it didn't remove any files from the left side, everytime after that I try it never makes it past thoughs two files.
I have no clue what has changed so much in the time span of one copy to another but something major apperantly happened (and I have rebooted a couple times).

First, make a complete backup of the extracted files after they have been downsampled. Make sure all the .psw files are deleted also. Always restart the computer after downsampling, then run MOM. If it fails, you can delete all the files (They add an underscore after them i think) and try the process again with the backed up files. If it keeps doing it you could try leaving the trouble file out of the pss downsampling list. - are you using TMPGEnc or the PSS downsampling app in v3 tutorial?

At Metalmike: The next time you have it if it does the same thing then ask for the store to have it cleaned - say it keeps pausing or something. It is their responsibility to maintain disc quality.

Is there any other way to rebuild GOW other than using Apache? Cause I can't install Apache on my system; Windows XP won't let me (never gets pass the instalation wizard screen. And yes I'm trying to extract win32 x86 no ssl.msi file). And Isobuster only reads a single layer of GOW and not the other info. For the most part, my backups are successful but I can't get this one particular game to work. Someone help please.
Thanks

At FranG1214: Which Apache are you trying to install? That sounds like the Apache Http Server Lol. Just find Apache3preview and install that - look on a P2P program. It doesnt even ask you to install it opens straight to the program.
At Metegoles: What modchip have you got installed? Some dont support Dual Layer backups. What screen does it go to? Does it say That its not a valid PS2 disc or does it say the disc has no data?

Hey Dedlywave where can I get a copy of Apache Preview? I been searching all over the net but can't find it. I don't mess around with P2P programs cause they f_ _ k up your computer. If I can't download it from somewhere then 4get it. Apache is freeware right?

At Metegoles: Do other DVD-5 backups work? If it says no data only with the DVD-9 backup then the modchip doesn't support it. The only way you'll be able to play it is to rebuild it and put it on a DVD-5 disc and then play it.
At FranG1214: Check your Messages, i'll be able to send you a copy of Apache 3.

Just PM me your emails and i'll send the program to you via hotmail. Make sure you have enough space to receive it. As for the Gamejack question - no, there is no 1 step or easy method to shrink it. You have to extract and rebuild the whole thing, which is pretty easy. There are tutorials for doing this from Sonix, but the site is down at the moment. The easiest one uses a PSS downsampling tool. I'll email the tutorial to you and Apache3 aswell.

If you have the matrix infinity chip and a dvd burner, do you still have to go through all the steps?

Depending on whether the chip is DVD-9 compatible (Can play Dual layer copies) you may be able to do a straight 1:1 copy to a DVD-9 and play it. Look at your chip's specs on the net.

I finally got a hold of the tools needed for God Of War back up. Backuptools web site was offline for a while. But I checked today and yes, their back on-line. Now that I have the tools, I dont have my disk. Hope my brother will bring it back soon...
Untill then, I guess I will continue to re-read all this info in this thread. See you guys later.
