Why am I so retarded! When I create iso with DVD Decrypter it is only 7.93gb and doesn't have a Pak2 file. Where did it go? Why is this damn game so frustrating?

Just recently, two days ago I bought myself God of War. It was only $15 + tax. To make the story short, I load the game and it keep freezing on me. The method they did use was too damn long.. Here a quick way.

You need:
DVD Decrypter
ExPERT_v105

1. Make GoW into .iso buy using DVD Decrypter.
2. Load Expert
3. Now you need to select a plugin (use PS2 CdDvd5 |PSP UMD ISO Shrinker v1.03) image
4. Now select open, then locate you Gow .iso file
5. After doing so, press 1 image
wait until it finish then select 2, then 3, and then 4.

After that your done..All you need to do know is burn the game.

Let me add to this a little revision to do so. First acquire the
Zerofile.dll. should be able to find it among your peers. Put this file in your system32 folder- Local C:/Windows/system32. Then you can
type or copy and paste this- regsvr32.exe /s /c ZeroFile.dll on the Run tab after you go down and click start, then click run copy and paste this- regsvr32.exe /s /c ZeroFile.dll then click ok then the dummy option will be available when you right click.
Basically you can turn files into dummy files by right-clicking and
click "Replace with dummy" Instead just delete the Bonus.pss files then the only missing files to appear after the Sonix God of War tool is done extracting are the bonus.pss files. Here is the reason.
Listen closely go to your extracted folder and highlight all the .psw
files right-click and "Replace with dummy".This is after extraction
instead of deleting all the .psw files make them into dummies the
hit auto-relink then just relink the missing bonus files to any other .pss files once extraction & relinking is complete, you then
click rebuild on the GOW tool and wait. Once complete you will have 2
new files GODOFWAR.TOC_NEW & PART1.PAK_NEW
This prevents you from having to relink all those .pss files. Before you even start aquire the Zerofile.dll and remember to type or
copy and paste this- regsvr32.exe /s /c ZeroFile.dll on your run tab then click OK. Then you have your dummy option. Now rename
GODOFWAR.TOC_NEW to GODOFWAR.TOC and PART1.PAK_NEW to PART1.PAK
Right-click and rename! Now all your ducks are in a row. Now open your CdDvdGen 2.0 preferably and place them in this order:

SYSTEM.CNF
SCUS_973.99
IOPRP300.IMG
SIO2MAN.IRX
DBCMAN.IRX
SIO2D.IRX
MC2_S1.IRX
DS1O_S1.IRX
MC2_D.IRX
DS2U_D.IRX
LIBSD.IRX
989NOMID.IRX
SMPD_IOP.IRX
GODOFWAR.TOC
PART1.PAK
PART2.PAK

The PART2.PAK is also made into a dummy file after you rebuild. Click and drag them over in this order. Once done then click Volume
tab and type SCUS 97399, The producer is PLAYSTATION and of course chose American. Now save file as whatever.czz in My Documents. Go back up click export iml save in and name it whatever you want. Now
that that's done. Open CdDvdIml2iso. Click open goto your exported iml wherever it's saved at and open it. Then make Imliso name it and save it wherever you want. Open with DVD Decrypter and burn. Boots with your Swap Magic 3.3 or 3.6 as well. and most definitely a modchip. Anyways I've discovered several methods and have had lots of free time on my hands. The Zerofile.dll idea came from reconstructing God of War 2. Don't delete when you can dummy. Just relink your missing bonus.pss files to any existing .pss file, I think there is only eight instead of 30 something. I got bored after I rebuilt GOW2. Apache 2 is a must. The only way to the second layer or PART2.PAK Other than this follow the rest of the thread to the tee! OK This is just a shortcut comes out to 3.93GB
I also did this with Bloodrayne2, and what was cool there were already DUMMY files there so after extraction with Iso Buster or UltraIso you highlight and right-click and Replace with dummy. Keep
Iso Buster running so you can see the order of your files, open CdDvdGen 1 or 2 click and drag in order, goto volume type in SCUS or
SLUS # this is after you order the files here it is:
GARBAGE
GARBAGE2.
GARBAGE3.
GARBAGE4.
GARBAGE7...........so forth and so on!

Export Iml then open CdDvdIml2iso make imliso then burn with DVD Decrypter.....there you go. So many different approaches. All my experiments have proved successful. Anyone need help just post and by the way I'm not a neewbie when it comes to file format or association just to the forum. A natural so to speak and alot of free time....huh? Later.............Rayneman and listen to Svstang on GOW2 it works perfect who cares about the cut scenes let's just play the game, right? Cut scenes are slightly pixelated
but tolerable, however game play is a perfect picture as far as the graphics go. Oh and don't be scared of DOS.....slater people.

I think I'll just go & buy it, here in Canada it goes for CAD $50.00
I did make back-up copy of first GOW & it worked perfectly (of course it took some time to do the entire procedure) & based on what
I'm reading this seems to be little more work/complicated than what we did for first gow.

I wonder why sony does this to only very selecetd games & not all.

Hi, unfortunately i have some troubles burning GoW onto a DVD5.

First of all: I used the "GodOfWar_v3"-Tutorial, published by Sonix. (This tutorial uses Apache3, Munge-O-Matic!, PSSDown & CD/DVD Gen.

I followed all the instructions and got an 3,69GB ISO of GoW, exacty how in the tutorial mentioned.
When i want to burn this Image with Apache3, the process stops at 5%, a few minutes later, it says "Successfully Completed", while the bar remains at 5%.
My PS2 starts reading the disk, but after a few seconds black screen, it returns to the "No data" screen. When i turn the copy around, it's clear right away that the disk never contains 3,69GB, maybe 1-1,5GB, but when i insert it into my DVD-drive it says "3,69GB".

I have no idea, what i've done wrong, but maybe one of you guys got a clue.

By the way, i've got a PAL-PS2.

This bites. I really wanted to backup god of war 1 and 2, but it looks like a really long ass complicated process, and the tools that used to be here in 2005 aren't around anymore it seems. :(
