ive just tried to update my kryptview 780 but it just keeps telling me download is not requested can any one tell me what im doing wrong ..followed all the tutorials,it must be something stupid im not doing right,i put the last 2010 update on when i got it seem to remember this happening then but i cant remember what i had to do to remedy it pleeeeeeeeease help

Presume you are flashing from PC with null-modem cable. Turn off box, hit start on loader &
then turn on box OR Turn on box, hit start on loader, turn box off then on.
If you have flashed box with earlier firmware, simply go to S/W update in box menu press OK
& box will update firmware itself on-line

Hello der jus got my kryptview box a780 after reading which one to buy from your discussion..and doing everything according to tutorial...have connected the box to laptop with usb adabter for RS232 into one of usb slot..box dosnt get install as der is no driver found and windows jus leaves it..now i have to change the port to com1 and baudrate before i install the bin file but der is nothing in device manager as ports or communication port...have got a laptop wid vista tried tht as well but no joy to locate the ports into device manager and not even anywhere in control panel under any devices...Help wud be great...thx

you cant change the baud rate if your pc dont see the port you need the usb plugged in to see it but as yours dont reconise the adapter you are stuck
i suggest you try and find a driver for it or get a old pc or laptop with xp and a comport on it and flash the box that way

Try installing the Prolific driver found here (select the Vista compatible one)

thx for the quick reply..downloaded the prolifice driver..and finally got it changed to required com1 and baudrate...
Now getting one more problem while downloading the file it give the message as "NO dowloading Requested" i am using file Kryptview_A780_03012011...do i have to use old version...Originally posted by e45:

Also ensure you set the COM port number on the downloader the same as you set in device manager before you press start.

done tht few times now...on two diff laptops one wid windows 7 and vista... same message "Downloading not Requested".. any more suggestion

hi i got my box today it was already flashed when i got it. i done the factory default and then the scan and i got all the channels apart from the movie channels. well i say all movie but i do get one. am i missing something??? its got the latest update ive checked.

have you selected the correct net Id on set up? have a read of the tut in E45's sig, follow it to the letter

it is the right one. but i only get 1 on the list anyway. but ive checked my virgin tech stuff and its the right id

ok, its the correct one as per the sub box, make sure all cables are correct, your signal level is good, about 80%, leave the box on standby and let it powerscan for about 30 to 40 mins, I do know that some of the movies on the krypt are missing lately, but do the above and see if that pulls them in

Lucky man to get a KV box. They will be like gold-dust.
Have seen post elsewhere with movie channels down, so may be temp server or Prov problem
Check Provider name & NET-ID in Provider box menu & use these when scanning.
It may help to remove LAN-cable from box when scanning.
Make sure POWER-SCAN MODE is turned ON in KV A780 menu
Put box in stand-by overnight & it will search for any missing channels
If not sure of correct NET-ID, ask supplier who flashed box, he should know

If ever doing auto-scan fac-reset first then full list of ID's will show

Hello guys been tryin to flash my new kv a780 for 2 days.. Tried on windows 7 and on vista..still comes Wid d msg download nt requesting.have followd d instruction and even saw d Vedio on u tube...nw goin to mates house..he's got old pc Wid xp.. Only question do I need a driver for d box or will it detect strait away wen I connect by port..thx

Thx for d reply..He has comport on pc..so I'll jus rs232..my question was wud it need any kinda driver to locate d box..or is it plug n play kinda thing...

Its plug and play mate, plug in before you switch the computer on (no driver required to install, it is installed on your friends computers firmware).
