um, have you listen to the devs? they are all encompassing the wiimote, and the classic controller has no motion sensing and is almost solely used for retro gaming.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

For short HDMI runs of 3 - 6 feet lower quality cables are OK. For longer distance runs of 15 feet or more you could get dropouts and "sparkles" with low-quality cables. HDMI to DVI converters/adapters also can give problems with any length of cable.

its good for people to not get some shitty 3rd party hdmi cable with the ps3 and they can choose a quality cable for their needs, be it for the greatest or the low end hdtvs.

Im sure ppl who are complainin about HDMI cables not bein included with the PS3 dont even have HDtv's with HDMI ports...
Doesnt really matter anyways. Majority of ppl who own HDTVs have tvs that can only display 1080i and below so HDMI isnt necessary. Just get the HDMI/DVI converter cable its not that expensive. Or just use HD component cables if ur TV can only display 1080i or 720p at most then it doesnt effin matter.
lol anubis i thought this thread was suppost to be calm and quiet???
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

I think you're under the mistaken impression that HDMI is only for 1080p. Most people with HDTV's will tell you that HDMI is better than component when passing 720p or 1080i.

U weren't but we've seen it from other people b4. I think the best thing to do is to buy better cables.
I just got a dvd player as a gift for someone and when i was setting it up i used all new cables that i got for it.
They tend to pack some cheap factory reject looking ones with them

hdmi makes 1080i look so much better than dvi or componant either way. its the bandwidth.

I never expected it to come with hdmi cables. It's almost as if people want it to wash their hair and make them breakfast lol. These same people will complain about it's high price but then they turn around and want it to include more stuff.I think it's an agenda thing you know?
I mean the other consoles don't even have hdmi capability. They can put that in their pipes and smoke it.

@CrisKahn2:
It's always better to use HDMI even if you have "only" a 720p or 1080i signal. HMDI is all digital while component is analog and that extra D to A conversion can sometimes introduce problems. Most everyone with HDMI enabled HDTV's will tell you that the digital connection is more detailed, sharper and has more vibrant colors.

I bought an X-Box 360 on launch day and I have to say there are 10 reasons in my opinion to either wait for a price drop on the 360 or just saving up for the PS3.
1.With most of my games on the 360 including Oblivion, GRAW, Dead Rising, and Chromehounds all either freeze up in the game or on loading screens. I have also experienced freezing on the 360 dashboard as well. I have gotten a replacement from Microsoft but the problems are still there.
2. I understand that the 360 games are large and require longer loading times but the loading times on Oblivion, Dead Rising, and Chromehounds to me seem too long. For example I counted off the loading time in Dead Rising for it to load the paradise plaza level and the total time was around 22 sec, and this just seems like a long time to me.
3. Game Selection: There just doesn't seem to be any great hits on the 360 at this point in time. Sure Oblivion and GRAW but they may and probably will be out for other consoles including the computer in some cases. Now later in time the 360 game selection will get better but as of right now the 360 is still weak in that section.
4. X-Box Live: I think that the fee is fine for a good system like Live but I dislike the lack of actually scrolling through a list of games and picking one to join. There is also something that realy makes me mad and its that Microsoft still charges for additional content like themes and gamer pictures, I mean come on $59.99 is still not enough to get any extra content please...
5. I may be the only one but the noise level on the 360 is not exactly desirable if you know what I mean. I can hear the 360 over the in-game sounds, Microsoft should have made it with a little more managable sound level.
6. I think that the 360 mic is a major improvement on any other system mic for the simple fact that it plugs into the controller, but the mics are not very crisp or clear as compared to others like Socom, and other PS2 mic enabled games.
7. This is probably my biggest complaint but I still cant believe that the 360 isn't 100% backwords compatible with X-Box games like Black. Besides the only X-Box game worth playing was Halo anyways, but still why make my X-Box assests useless without still having the origanal X-Box.
8. The online max amount of players is also somewhat dissapointing for the 360 with most games being 8v8 or 12v12, and I know that these numbers will get better as time goes on but right now I just dont think that 24 max online players is enough for the larger game enviroments.
9. Burn rings on games: I think everyone knows this one but if Microsoft realy tested the 360 these problems would not have exsited.
10. My final reason, is the massive heating problems on launch day of the 360 was a direct result of Microsoft making a product and rusing to market and not placing any time on making the system great.

Well those are some pretty detailed gripes.
I've heard all of those complaints already. They are slowly sorting things out but it's a good thing they got a years head start

Yes I agree that Microsoft will continue to make improvements to the 360 and these problems will be sorted out in due time I just wished Microsoft took a little more time in creating the 360 so that those kind of problems would be minimized.
I have nothing against Microsoft and competition is essential in making good products for the consumers.

Well, Sony fans are going to be kicking themselves in the croach. I Just read the news on the AF homepage and it turns out there will be a delay for the PS3 in countries other than the US and Japan. If I read it correctly the Ps3 is still schedulled to release in november in the US and Japan, but in other countries such as Europe and australia it wont release till March 2007.
Honestly Im not surprised by the delay. *runs out to buy xbox 360*
Just joking, Im in the US so I wont have to worry, but there may be shortages. PS3 is already in the production phase right? anyone?
Peace Out!

It's possible they could make the 500K units for launch (400K for the US and 100K for Japan). It would be interesting to see how many of the release consoles are HDMI-enabled.
