well certainly there is a difference in opinion, and before i throw another page long post of quotes and rebuttals, i'll say this....thinking about things it seems as if someone like yourself is an individual who, (for example) when buying a car looks at getting something that is not too fancy, pratical, reliable, and affordable. while someone like myself is looking for something that is, well just the opposite. powerful, state of the art, and has all the extra features i could hope for(dvd/nav/sound/keyless/wheels bla bla bla). kinda makes me think of the wii as a honda civic, and the ps3 as an acura TL....
there is one thing though that i am curious about. what do you really think (and all should feel free to state their opinion) nintendo's target market is for the wii? why?
overall i happen to think its a system meant for kids (elementary to probably middle school). i say that because when i look at the types of games being developed, they seem to be geared towards that crowd. there are a few exceptions, but my opinion is based on not a game, but games in general. the prior systems to the wii were for the most part the same way as well.

haha, i know that, i was not saying that gears of war is the standard and other games must be beat it, offcourse not, i could have just as easily have said gears of war looks like unrealtournament 2007.
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

im aware, as to why i clarified it was from another site. yo just reminded me of a grudge against the ignorant i've had since i was little.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Well paraphrasing from Nintendo, it would be something like "expanding the market to non-gamers and gamers that no longer play, while still catering to the hardcore gamer... Much like the DS"
I think that is reasonable.

i am glad to hear that, b/c i normally leave my xbox 360 running for at least 2 days at a time, so i would expect nothing less from a console such as the ps3.
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

I think afterdawn has the best quality console debates. (Just what I have come to conclude after viewing other forums' debate threads)
And that is why we should all recieve the "most intelligent fanboys" award. The award is sort of hypocritical, but we all know that, which is why we deserve it anyways.

some times people can make so little sense and it makes so much sense. oofrome, you are one of these. :P
its good to hear the heat and noise are of no problem. maybe the cell runs cooler due to its structure, only having 1 ppe with the spe's.
and some people in the comments on that site are addressing the fans under the ps3 to downplay this as anything good, but the ps3 is in a clear plastic medium sized case that w/o circulation would definatly overheat any computer electronic working in there.

ok for the second time now, i know this. people keep saying that ps3 games will be much better then xbox 360 games, so in that particular post, i was just telling the guy who posted before me that gears of war is just as good as any game i have seen on the ps3 (from ingame footage, so not mgs4), but plz stop bringing this up, i am bored of talking about this topic now.
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

the cg in lost oddesy or w/e looks like its realtime alter-ego because they are basically the same model so it looks more fluent.
and i said in another thread (1080p resistence fom something), upscaling is no comparisson for the real thing. try to upscale a sound file and see if it sounds much better.

I think at the end of the day (wether better or not) i'll be using upscaling if I wan't HD.
Means I don't need an HDMI cable, I don't need an HD-DVD player and I don't need HD-DVD's - unless I get a PS3 (that's why i'm keeping up-to-date on here) but i'm still unsure TBH.

yeah sorry about that, i just got home from college, and i was tired, i just re read my post, and it did sound too good.
also, i have not seen you on live for a while now (or do i have the wrong person, lol, not sure but what the hey), although i myself have not been on for ages, since i got saints row.

eh, i hope it sucks....
are they only being released in japan ?
because if thats so, then it wont seell anything, i read the 360 was outsold by the gamecube in japan for last week i think lol....thats kinda sad

well, its pretty cool, its not really a new ninga gaiden game but the exact same game that came out on the xbox , but with enhamced graphics and probably online play.
