yes it will work if the chip supports it, but you will need smaller blank dvd's unless you have a special case for the gamecube

You have to install Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 first, then run rawdump and it will run fine.

1. It's not a .rar file, it's an .iso file. It may seem like it, but it's because you obviously have WinRAR associated with .iso files, so it has the same icon.
2. Normally backup images of games cannot open up on your computer threw an archive program (WinRAR) or ISO imaging programs (UltraISO, MagicISO). The only way to know if it works is by actually burning it and running it through the console. The only way to verify with Wii images is the size, which are all the same with every single game. This will tell you whether you made a correct dump of the disc or not. Check page 1 tutorial and read it again.

If my backup iso image fails to play in the Wii but the file size is correct then what could be wrong? I've burnt at 1x, 4x and 12x.

check the chip..dont say its fine cause i did and after all else faield i redid the install and sure enough it was the chip install. check your connection becuase if your getting as far burng the iso and they have the correct file size it can be either the chip, your media, or your burner.

Well that's strange because I can play isos that other people have burnt. And I can copy those isos and burn the copies. My problem is with isos from unknown sources. OK, not to be trusted but technically the size is correct and after countless tries not a single one will play. Thanks anyway.

Make sure the device is set to master and it is power on before you connect it to your pc.
Also, try using a different USB port.

Just wanted to thank those that started this thread. Haven't had one single problem with backups (using Nero 7 at a burning speed of 2). Only issue I have had is when I tried burning faster than 2, other than that so far so good. thanks again.
