Is it possible to have 2 burners not able to burn an iso correctly? As I stated above, I tried to backup the games, i get the ISO in the correct size but the wii says unable to read. I got a different burner, a lacie 16x usb drive, used imgburn and Nero, but still no go. I tried memorex 4x, 8x, and 16x dvd -r. I tried at 2x and 4x burning. My friend backuped a game and it worked fine in my wii. Someone suggested I need the pioneer dvr 111d. Before I buy that, anyone have any other ideas I can try?
Thx again

Memorex 16x DVD+R Works for me using an external LG or HP drive and Imgburn (PC) or Liquid CD (Mac).
I have yet to burn a backup that didn't work due to media and the method I burnned it. I have had problems (Naruto GNT4) but that was the same for the backup and the origional.
Good luck.

@baybuzz, it may be the media, not the drive that is causeing the problem. My friend made a backup for me (I don't have the right ripping drive) and burned it to a disc. It wouldn't play, so I copied the backup to a sony disc and it worked perfectly.

Ok, thanks for all the feedback, I really appreciate it.
One last thing, when you copy a backup disk which is done by someone else, how do you copy it? Using Imgburn and copy disk to disk?
Sorry if this is an easy question but Im a bit lost still )
Thx again all

If you burned the iso file as an image your goign to have to dump again but if you burned the iso as a data disk you can just burn the iso off the disk as an image....

lol again the same question in 3 different forms. I don't care if you asked it again, the point is that people frown upon double posts, it essentially IS the same question. Can you copy an already burned game. Which was just answered above, so the answer is NO unless you dump it again and have an LG drive

Just out of curiosity what would be the purpose of burning the file as a data disk besides storage, it cannot be played correct?

No it cant be played but it would just save you teh hassle of having to dump the files again if you needed to make another backup of one of your games

So are you saying burning as a datadisk "runs like any other backup" meaning it will play in the wii?

"All Nintendo Wii and Gamecube images will be this exact byte size. If your Wii image is off by any then you have a bad dump and need to try again."
but...I have dumped it twice and both times get 4482mb or 4,589,824 bytes. The guide says it should be 4.37 or 4,699,979,776.
What is the problem? Even the figures are strange..4.48gb=4,589+
but 4.37GB (smaller)=4,699..?

That link appears to be broken. I found it elsewhere (need to jump through hoops though so I can't post a direct link).
Google it and you will be able to find it.
