everyone who owns an xbox 360 took a chance just like you will take a chance on the Ps3 ,so come off your soapbox and lets not anoint sony the next coming. No one said we like being the beta testers but thats the way it turned out and when you drop 700 for system and software, etc.. you deal with the problem.We have no choice we are not going to get our money back a, all we can do is deal with it or sit and bitch.

yes there are ways to fix the problems, like that new liquid cooler for the 360. but we shouldnt have to pay more and waste or time fors something that they should have resolved and found out in their own lack of testing.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I must be coming over to the dark side because I think your right with what you said , MS should have fixed all there probs. before tey released the 360 . I can't sit and %#!. I think this will be the last system I buy at launch. I also traded in my reserve for Ps3 for a store credit. I am going to wait and see before buying the Ps3 I learned my lesson with the 360.

yeah ill probably wait till a week after the launch. then go get myself one. or buy one on that day, then kepp in in the box with reciept till a week. people will complain and find issues by then.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

HA!! i love how you were still such an xbox fanboy. come off my soapbox?? i mean yeah your right, i guess.. but hey im not the one who said we're like beta testers nor am i the one who believes it, so its fair game for anyone to belittle your situation. i mean how many other companies can get away with this kind of bullsht. i guess where you and i differ is the whole beta testing concept and the amount of money paid which you apparantly spent $700 on everything, there was just no reason or need for microsoft to put people in this kind of a situation. you yourself had to already replace your system. in my mind that is just down right ridiculous.
oh and reading your post "you deal with the problem. you have no choice" .. if i'm ceo of a company and this is how my consumer base feels... HOLY CRAP i think we missed the f*ck'n mark and like i said in my post earlier some kind of restitution should be in order to make things right. say w/e you want but until people pull their heads out of their fanboy asses, i am very happy i held off on buying the console and fortunate they're people (like yourself) who will eventually make the 360 better for all of us...

Sony has to date not delayed ANYTHING, how do i know this.. because they have NOT said anything on the matter. i love how so many people like to criticize them for their lack of information *"If sony would get thier head out of thier culo"* when the ps2 was being released, sony claimed and hyped it to unparallel levels, leaving some in disappointment. i guess this time around their not saying anything and people still arnt happy...guess its just the infamous catch22.
yes you are right that everyone takes a risk when buying any commodity, but this is m$ 2nd go at a system and theres not too much in terms of revolutionary technology (like cell)that is going into the 360, that is so drastically different from the original xbox that could justify some of these problems. so i guess i'll put my cards in sony's basket,.... as they say "3rd times a charm"

anubis i meant that there is nothing wrong with the actual design of the xbox and what it consists of, but all the problems that are happening nowwill not happen later b/c those consoles will not be rushed.

ps3 fanboys if sony wasn't having issues your beloved Ps3 would be in the stores now. You guys are a trip if you think the ps3 won't have it share of probs. all electronics do. Open your eyes, sony is just like MS and until Ps3 is released to the public you nor me have any proof what kind of a system ps3 will be.We know what kind of system 360 is, right oe wrong the 360 is out and for better or worse we have the 360 . That is all you have there is no Ps3 right now, lets wait and see what sony gives us before you make it the winner. If we didn't have the 360 who would you guys hate on then? It couldn't be sony they don't have a new system out yet,until they do I am a 360 fanboy to a system thats exist.

MAN wtf are you talking about??? it would be in stores now!!??!! apparantly you must not have read the press release last may (5/16/05) that CLEARLY stated the ps3 would be a springtime launch. now im not certain where you are from *shrugs*, but i reside in the US and last time i went outside it was still WINTER. sony has NEVER claimed ps3 was going to be a worldwide launch or a bilateral launch with japan and NA. so where are you getting your info that is leading you to conclude that they wont make their promise date???
Besides for the obvious (profit/game market) how the heck are sony and m$ one in the same?? if what you said is true that sony is like m$, apparantly the PS3 according to you would be out right now, but hmm... its not, so i guess m$ and sony are different. I am not sure what people/fanboys you have been talking to but there hasnt been one person that i know of that is claiming the ps3 will be bug and problem free. most EVERYONE agrees that like anything else there are going to be flaws. in case you havnt heard SONY is the reigning champ from the last "console war" (if you even can call it that), so just like the PATRIOTS in football, until someone can dethrone them why speculate/criticize???
i have even seen anubis say that when the ps3 comes out he will break down the system and point out flaws. forums are meant to be open areas of discussion, but please stop posting unreliable pieces of information that you havnt read up on yourself.

Please please, sony is holding back the ps3 to fix all bugs, and errors. Unlike 360, they rushed manufacturing it. Sony is attempting to make the ps3 even better. They ar'nt having technical difficulties.

exactly kookoo. hell its not even spring yet, uhall, it wouldnt be out anyways. they are upgading the cell, and as i found out they are most likely to include the newly modified cell at 4ghz and 256gflops with all 8 spes. it cost nothing more to incorperate the extra spe cept a few new connectors and transitors. and all the game designed for the 7spe version will play because the 8spe is basically the same, but one spe will be left out. they are trying to "refine" the system and test it out to make sure there are less bugs and so it has the most potential.

For your info, not that it matters I live in the USA. You guys need thicker skin I hope not all ps3 fanboys are like you. I 'm not a poser like half of everybody posting I am a real person who doesn't claim to know everything about a system thats not on the market yet or everthing about anything techy . I even plan on buying a ps3 ... why because I like sony systems. I like my 360, that doesn't mean I love MS. or like the way they did thier launch but do you really think me bashing MS is going to change what happened ...No it will not . I'm bored by this thread its retread from 100 others just like it. I am going to play my 360 while you guy gripe about us Xbox fanboys sitting at your keyboards getting mad by the minute because you don't own an Xbox 360.

I know I'm not alone in this, but XBL is amazing. It's way ahead of it's time, and nothing else compares. I'm not worried about the ps3 at all, I bought a ps2 for gran turismo 3. I now own about 4 games for it, and those were only because they were ps exclusive. I love my xbox. Don't have a 360 yet, waiting for the bugs to go away, but as an online gamer, sony can't compete. I don't really care if the ps3 games look like dvd movies, it's the fun factor that matters when it comes to a consol, and yeah I like sound and picture, but "the english patient" had a decent soundtrack and it was dvd clear... but it sucked.

anyways, xbl is not ahead of its time, its been around for quite some time, and could realy use a bit of well placed revampage. plus the system needs to incorperate more of its system level programings into games.

dude anubis XBL did get a whole new revamp, fine there are some laggy games but thatrs just the rushed games not tghe service. you can do a lot more with it like xbox live arcade the market place patches and updates that are comming out and its a lot more easier to accses

im going to buy ps3 as soon as mgs4 comes out, by the way i heard that the ps3 online service is going to link the ps2,psp,ps3 users all together.thats is going to be so awesome and the best part of all its going to be free , man i hope that comes true.
nuff said. ps3 > xbox 2. hell even ps2 > xbox 2.

im starting to question the validity of the newer serice being free. if sony is gunna put money into it, they need to make money out of it. i would suggest 3 dollars a month, maybe 4, and to have a much neater service that xbl.

Yeah it has been revamped. And you said their servers need revamping? Take a look at how halo 2 has revolutionized the online gaming idea. All the servers do is track game stats and matching gamers together. Once more games have a system like his, more pressure will be taken off the servers. The only time I have EVER played a laggy game on Halo 2, is when my connection is going slow, or someone has forced host on someone who's net speed can't handle it.

Counterstrike
kalonline
the first and third games are free.
not to mention Gunz online.
Maybe you want to say halo 2 erm " revolutionized" for consols. Which I also find incorrect. Just state your oppinion. Because it hell did'nt revolutionize anything about online gameing..

The war of the consoles.... The systems are the weapons, and the games are the bullets! It all comes down to games. Both the systems graphically will be pretty damn close. But we know from xbox, and ps2 who has more, and better bullets. Sony's Catalog of games is unmatchable. Xbox has a handfull of games that were decent. I also saw where someone posted that anything the ps3 gets the xbox will. In this case GTA series (the ultimate game) Xbox got it but you have to wait several months. I am not a sony fanboy by any means. I like both systems( and own all systems Except the Gamepuke and ps3 of course). The 360 is nice, but not that impressive(I actually considered taking it back because it really was not that much better then my xbox ). A prime example of Microsofts gameing delimas is the releasing of the 360 with a handful of games and not many of them being very good. Once again to summerize. Its about the games. I will give up graphic quality for game quality any day. Thats why I also prefer ps2 to xbox. I hope this time around with the 360 they prove me wrong and get some decent games(If I hear "Dude Halo was awesome" one more time I'll puke) It was O.K. Dont get me wrong I am all for Gates ruling the world... Just do it with some decent games.

well kookoo halo 2 was the best game for console online gaming i have ever seen, considering how many people played it never F***KED up, and you will all see when ghost recon comes out apparently it is meant to be even better than halo 2 online with soooo many different opptions which anubis says is imposible for xbl servers to do, so we will see when this game comes out.
