I agree with everything stated in this topic. But lets not forget that it doesn't matter how powerful of a system you have, you need the game developers to harness the full potential. Let's face it, the only game that came close to using about 60% ogf the X-boxes full potential was Halo 2. Imagine what kind of crazy stuff they could have pulled off if the developers hardware and software were up to speed with consoles. That will be the big console war decider. Which developer has the best software and uses it for that system.

sony needs to come out with something like dreamweaver for programming the cell and ps3 games untill developers can lear n the language better. the laguage is already known, but it is from a rare form a linux. either way, most people dont know it and if sony developed a basic learning design program it would increase developer support. then wonce devs get good at knowing the code, they can use the program and venture off on their own.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

yes and no. i dont know if its a fault, but it will hold a few teams back untill they spend some time with the new code if they dont know it. the people developing killzone are having an easy time, while a few smaller groups are have a bit of trouble but they say it gets alot easier when you have the basic down cuz it all flows. basically you give a group a week or 2 and they know what to do, almost no time. it takes time to learn a systems code either way.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

When it's all said and done there will not be singular winner, both systems will win just like the xbox and ps2. Unless the Ps3 falls flat on its face, sony should have learned from 360 problems ,oh ,I am sorry It should have been Xbox learning from the ps2 overheating problem. Remember all the ps2's that were overheating .How soon we forget. Overheating is not a new problem,almost all electronics overheat. We will have to wait and see which system will conqure the overheating problem.

too true too true.. but all saida nd done both manufactures will bring out new editions of both consoles so any problems will be over come anyway.. we're all moanin bout the 360 crashing or overheating etc etc.. but i remember when my friend bought an xbox when it first came out, and within a month he had to send his back and recieve a new one because there were malfunctions with it.. anyway my point is, its only been like 2 months since 360s been released, you cant complain about problems being had from it because their working developments.. sony have decided to develop theirs in a lab and m$ decided to release it and deal with the problems that the CONSUMERS have, which is who the consoles are made for..

I think you hit the nail on the head. I already sent my 360 back AND RECIEVED A NEW ONE( pushed the wrong key) with new hard drive, power pack, Etc.. . I think MS did what you said, we were the beta testers. MS used us to find out what bugs the system had . Ps3 ,I think found some probs. and pulled back the system and release date,that just my opinion. I believe the Ps3 will be a good system but it won't be perfect,nothing is.

again siting problems with the system. my always beta's us, an that is strongly why i dont like the xbox and i only use windows cuz im used to it. i have an ibook and i use it just as much.

at the end of the day when xbox 360's are being made without any bugs, then you will see the machine as for now its just the starting point.

even with the bugs anf eff ups set aside, the 360 it long far from next gen. old dvd drive, graphics card less than that of a 7800, pc processor. whats really new?

In your opinion . There's nothing wrong with xbox, well not anymore,and I'm not saying anything bad about the ps3.Each system will have it's own following no matter what you or I write in this thread. I guess what it will come down too is software or games I'm not a Techy or a wannabe, I'm a consumer and in the end the consumer will have the final say so not this thread or our opinions, although it might influence some people. In the end all these threads will not have any bearing on the success of the Xbox 360 or Ps3, that will come down to the intangibles and marketing. The war hasn't began and we don't know if it will.

I mean come on, anubis ent a fan boy, i've been discussin matters in threads for ages and he's had gd and bad points about both ps3 and 360.. he just favours ps3 over 360.. thats his opinion.. does someones opinion make them a fanboy? no i dont think so...

now my point on this is that if a good product is made and you happen to like it then if you have the money go for it. so i do not see how it is sad if you buy from m$.

I wasn't talking to you, me and Anubis go at each other preaty good . He knows I am busting his balls just like he does mine every chance he gets. I don't believe he needs you to defend him ,he takes care of himself just fine. I must have hit a nerve with all the Ps3 fanboys,I guess the 360 Ps3 war is going to happen or should i say anyone who doesn't love sony is going to defend themselfs.ASTA.

Yeah, I am a 360 Fanman. I also own Ps2 amd Ps1 so I guess that makes me a X ps fanboy.HA . If sony would get thier head out of thier culo I might be a ps3 fanboy , sometime in the near far off future.

i am some what surprised by the number of times i have seen 360 owners say "we're like the beta testers for the system" im not so sure thats a necessarily good thing. ok i'll be modest and say its good for the 360 and her development (iron out wrinkles) but as for you personally??.... i think you may have gotten the shorthand of the stick on this deal (if your one of the owners experiencing some drawbacks). Most people dont have to initially pay upwords of $400 to be "beta testers" for a system let alone most anything. If anything they should be paying YOU, or allowing you to test and provide feedback and the option to buy the product when its all said and done at a discount. if m$ really wanted to wow some of their fan base and reward those who did buy one of the "beta" models (initial launch), it would be pretty sweet for them to release halo 3 the most anticipated game exclussively 2 weeks early for those consumers who would have contributed to the 360s development or some other perk for some of the troubles they had to endure.
