Simply by using Rawdump (the same way you dump Wii games). You can use a little Gamecube homebrew which dumps it to an SD card, but it is much easier to do it via Rawdump on your computer. And yes online games are compatible, why wouldn't they be?? They are the same as any other game, just they connect to a server...

The reason i asked about the online was because on my PS2, i used to backup disks but when you connected to the internet sony had some verifying thing... it checked to see if it was a backup or not and allowed you proceed... or not! see what i mean? I wonderd what 'stealth' was on the chip could that be its use? Thanks

Actually, it doesn't matter what type of DVD you use (DVD-+R, DVD-+RW) but the DVD-R doesn't wear out the wii's DVD drive as much as a DVD+R. So it is better to go with the DVD-R.

yes they work on modded GC and you need a case mode to use larger disk.

Does anyone know if you can make a LG-8160b work for dumping Wii DVDs? Also, has any seen the WiiKey SD adapter and found the WiiKey dumping software? If so, has anyone taken the dumped software and converted it to a DVD?

I have a question when you are burning the ISOS from Raw Dump using Nero 7.5 do you have to finalize the disc? I am finding that my burns are failing sometimes at 17% , sometimes at 99% and the error is that Nero cant finalize the disc...any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you need to finalize the disc, but you need to make a border (mine does automatically) and I have Nero 7 as well. Make sure you burn at no higher than 4x with a high quality DVD, if you are using a cheap low quality DVD that may also be your problem, I'd try burning with another DVD or a different DVD burner because these may also be your problem.

Hey all, I'm attempting to rip and burn my first wii game and running into a problem. Every time I attempt to use rawdump2.0 to rip the game, rawdump will properly find the drive that has the disc, and will say right below the pull down tab for drive selection "Wii disc found" and will say "getting DVD name" in the bottom right corner. No matter what I try, I cannot get rawdump to start running properly!
What I have done:
I have an LG drive
I tried changing IDE primary and secondary's transfer mode to PLO only.
I have tried fucking around with different methods to get the disc to read-IE. clicking start dump and THEN inserting disc, inserting disc THEN clicking start dump. I have tried different timings too, the damn thing still WILL NOT WORK!!
I've tried redownloading net framework

So I was wondering if there was anything I haven't mentioned that I should try, I pretty much have gone through all threads on here that have any mention of rawdump problems and nothing works for me.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hmm...you haven't mentioned what LG drive you have. Also, you haven't mentioned the exact nature of the problem. Does it just sit there saying "Wii disc found" or "getting DVD name"? If so, how long have you left it on this screen before you gave up?

It shows both messages, then shows the error, then the program shuts down. I have the LG 8164.

Did you uninstall the framework fully before re-installing it again or did you just install it again on top of the old install? I highly recommend uninstalling the the framework, restarting your computer and the reinstall the framework again and then restarting the computer. It's long winded process but it is the best way of determining whether the software will work or not.

If this doesn't work and it still crashes, I would recommend my extreme method of reinstall a clean copy of Windows. This usually irons out all of the hidden and strange problems.

I did a total uninstall and then reinstall, restarting my comp after each, no dice. I did a total uninstall reinstall on rawdump also, didn't help.

It pisses me off because it seems like if the program would stop being a jackass for 2 seconds the dump would go through.

It looks to me like it is more a problem with the .net Framework than Raw Dump. I think another program you have installed which is also using the .net Framework could be clashing with Raw Dump.

As I said before, I think it will be difficult to find the clashing program, unless you don't have much installed on your computer. The easiest way would be to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows and try from there. Unless someone else has a better idea...

@Lau

There is no need to dump backups. All you have to do is a disc copy.

If using ImgBurn go to MODE/READ to copy the disc to HDD then MODE WRITE to burn the ISO.

With Nero just do a disc copy.
