why is it every ps3 video i see running in real time looks crappy. the only thing i have seen that looks remotely good is their trailers and cutscene type footage. i looked at monster madness and lair and some others but they looked like TRASH. Did the 360's games look so bad around this stage of the game for a lack of a better word?i think its a bad idea to not have madden 07 as a launch title and from what ive seen and read they have no intention of adding it to the list but thats tops selling sports game that people go into a frenzy for i.e madden nation the t.v show,madden bowl,madden challenge and so on and so on. People can knock the 360 for its makeshift madden all they want but atleast they gave the fans something for football season.but yeh can someone answer my question above i didnt catch to much of the 360's videos and stuff like that befroe their launch

your aparently looking at games that dont matter much. because the titles that are going to
be cared about will look much nicer if u havnt noticed. plus the 360 had ugly games that
people wanted, making it look bad.
xbox seems your thing. the games you seem to like, such as madden, do better and are more
sought out by xbox fans. xbox has a higher percent of sports and american iconic games.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

please tell me what games to look at...i am a MS fan but quality is quality. i completely know what u bout them making the games they want to do well look great and all but i looked at that supposed launch list and they all SUCKED. lacking my hatred for sony and ur right i like sports games but i also like fps,rpgs and so on i just am a better gamer at sports games than the others. as i was saying please tell me the games to look at,not trailers,not cutscenes..but actual gameplay...

also u have previously stated u only own like 15 games in the whole 5yrs uve had ur ps2 so ur opinon on games is a little different than about 85% of the gaming population. avg. xbox 360 owners own already 4.6gms on average(think about that they have 1/3 of the total gms u have accumalted in 5 yrs already in like 5mnths) and from u say the games offered by the 360 arent any good so imagine whne they actually put out their top titles later this yr

the reason they own that is its the launch, look at all launches and ull see the same. and i would only buy games i knew would have loads of replay or look really really sweet. i was a broke kid so its what i did.

@wooopz: its not liek an upgrade like psx and psone. i meant there is not much of a significant change than there is for ps2 to ps3 (keyword in there is significant). to be a smartass, they actually dropped the 2, and added a 3 ^_^ .

well every body remember where they stand and when e3 comes we will see who is closest to the truth,
in my opinion i think that m$ are playing it very noble as last year in e3 they showed ingame footage which had not even had the proper dev kits, while ps3 showed cgi. then you got the specs, now on the sheet they show ps3 to be atleast 2 times better in almost every way, but over time websites and tech guys have shown more evidence that makes the xbox 360 more powerfull that the ps3, maybe not now or even in 2007 but at least by end of 2007 we will start to see a difference between xbox 360 and ps3. but i may be wrong, so like i said we will find out at e3, well actually my point wil not be proven at e3 but when e3 2008 comes then i hope to be satisfied, lol.

I said it before and I'll say it again......NEITHER SYSTEM IS SUPPERIOR! All games and software depend on the system it is created on! A game will always only be as good as it's developer! As for media types...WHO CARES! Unless the developer really needs a crap load of space for their games, which in technical terms now don't mean squat concidering nobody has the software yet to fullt utalize either system. Hence the new dual core and micro-processor endevour. Until game companies learn to fully maximize their own game creating software and hardware, get used to sub-par graphics on advanced hardware from console makers! As an example, take the XBOX. Halo 2 only really utalized about 73% of the systems capabilities!!!! 73!!!!! I highly doubt any developer this early will be able to use 100% of the next-gen! I bet even now no-one could fully utalize the PS2 or Xbox! Prove me wrong!

if i had to be put into one of those groups i would be an xbox fanatic but i owned ps2 and not the xbox. i now own the 360 and love it. i never liked the ps2 but all my friends had it. soon we relaized that 7 out of 10 of our ps2's broke more than once and sony has horrible customer service.also i owned the gamecube so to cll me a fanatic would a little ridiclous.trust me i try to be nice but sony fans are so cultlike and while they are intellegent it seems when u call them out and catch them with some information they are incorrect about they completely disregard it and move onto something else. makes no sense how every sony fans now care about speed and graphics when in the previous gen sony fell short to the xbox in those areas badly. so if its games that they care about then speak of how games carry consoles and not whatever upperhand ur system has in the console war at that point in time.SO i guess im unbias but i just seem to get into quarrels with sony fans becasue of their cultlike tendencies where they buy a console for the name on it and nothing more it seems...

please tell me your not trying to suggest that PS2 and xbox are "just as good as the 360 and the PS3".

people are missing the fact that ps3 has already to this point set sony back close to 900 million(solely because of the ps3) couple that with the lawsuit they got hit with over the dualshock technology for 98million.so in less than a yr they have lost a billion bucks. now the big word is that sony is going to try and sell the ps3 at $399.99 at launch to get the product out there and then later decrrease production costs. Now sony is sure feeling froggy to sell each system at about a $400.00 loss per system and sell about 4 to 5 million before tehy plan on cutting production costs...do the math at with those numbers. Thats aside from the fact that if the ps3 takes of like it wants then not many people will be buying the standalone Blu-ray players. And its not likely people will want to spend $40 on a single movie when u can snag a dvd for as cheap as 5bucks.People were worried that MS was taking a loss of $100.00 per console and they ended up pulling it off because they sold enough games to make their money back. About 4.6 games per console sold which is pretty good.It looks like the only way sony will even have a chance to win this war is if Lucent wins their lawsuit against Microsoft and they pull them off the shelves...stranger things have happened. This just goes to say sony is screwed eitehr way,sell it that cheap and your going under with numbers like that...and sell it too pricey you'll not have anyone buying it which will def put a crink in getting Blu-ray out there. they always say never put all your eggs in one basket but sony wants to give it a go and be the rebel of the group!

anyone you honestly thinks the ps3 takes 800-900 to make is really slow. seriously. learn your own prices of things.
sony owns all ore most of the bluray patents, so the drive will be cheap with no royalties ($120). the rsx is no more than the xenos and better in certain aspects($75). the cell, in theory, outperforms the 360's xeon by almost double (but this will have to be proven to me) and sony also hold all or most of the patents to that, eliminating royalties($100). the xdr will be expensive, but not more than 1/4 more than the ram being used in the 36 to be close to the real cost). all oter parts wont be too much, including ports and mobo and all that ($150). and with random royalties ($5) i see a total at about $500, and i could see sony selling the ps3 at $450
sure im not some hiogh ranking official analyst, but this is coming from a life dedicated to computer hardware and software.

well when they say that the xbox 360 cost to make something around 700 dollars how can the ps3 be at 500 dolars that does not make sence, especially considering that you always say that the xbox 360 is not next gen and that the ps3 b/c of all the stuff inside, well that suff cots and i think the analyists took all that paintenting and other stuff into consideration.

Kinda wierd that u seem to be a big sony fan and all sony fans do is rant and rave about the enormous selection of quality games that it has and how so many of them are exclusives. So out of 5 yrs u could only come to like 15gms out of the over 850 some odd games available and u as a sony fan sit here and see sony's superiorty over the xbox....makes a lot of sense.xbox clearly had the graphics and speed in the last gen war but just not gms according to you and all other sony fans, if 15gms is all i can come to like that out of 5yrs thats not saying to much for the gms available.i know you spoke of the whole replay value and all but give me a break here,ur ready to possibly spend newhere from 400bucks-700buck for a system u may play 15gms total for.thats the funny thing to me it doesnt matter whether the system costs $400 or $750 sony fans will buy it all the same.peopleconfuse for beinga MS fanboy becasue i sit here and speak positvely of the 360 over the ps3 but when i speak of the two systems the thing i stand for the most is the logic of the MS fans and the cultlike logic of the ps3.sony fans will flat out say the 360 doesnt have nice graphics or somehting which is flat out a lie. i'll say somehting like the ps3 is overpriced and thats an opinion...

and i only had 15 cuz i was mostly between 7th-9th grade where i was poor and relied on my mom to buy them. so what was i to do? i pic one game that is superior to all i see and get it, knowing it will have endless replay for the long times between games.

Hey ps3 realy xpensive, xbox 360 still a lot cheaper. Although ps3 game isnt out in Indonesia, indonesia already selling it at very high price, and some company use ps3 as a drawing reward etc. I'll buy ps3 when the game is available.

and i think you'l find that ps3 is apparently going to emualte the ps2 games so not all ps2 games will work on ps3.
im not a fanboy, in fact il end up buying all three next gen systems, but all ive heard on the ps3 front, is, 2 tera flops here, twice whst the xbox 360 has there and its a far better console because of it. not once have i heard of anyone saying things about the games. with the xbox 360, thats different. its all about the games.
and for anyone who has dissed the xbxo 360 launch. ms did an awesome job for waht they did. sony will have a hard time to top it, or even match it. therel be lotsa of problems like every other console before it. dont know if youl remember this but when ps2 came out in japan, people had to buy memory cards to save the dvd drivers on, in order to play dvds, then there were games that kept deleting the drivers.
financial figures dont look to good for sony either. micrsoft appareantly had a bad year last year but the company still made profits of 13 billion. when sony realeases the ps3they are going to struggle financialy, if at a too little price, then that will cost them heavily and too much will mean nobody buys what they have.

look at the bandwith of all things in the ps3, it well leaves room for saying it will be far superior in speed.
the 360 suck with backcompat, so i hope the ps3 has been shanged since that article, since they did to revamping.
and the launch did suck. poor supply, poor performance, failing systems, horrible loading times, mostly ported games. you can tell the release was too early. there has not been enuf testing nor enuf time for devs to make newer non port games.

Hey, just a side note....i read someone saying something about the earlier systems having bugs....... well when i bought my 360 i was offered a 3 year warranty for an extra $30.......not a bad deal, and that to me says they should be quite decent. That 3 year warranty was to completely replace the system if something stuffs up.

yeah but it should not have had so many widespread issues. some of ms's stock saw pain from the 360's launch.
they should have released in spring. they should have done more than minimal testing if any, and not released and unfinished.
