EXACTLY.
Thank god, I thought I was the only one that noticed!
The sad thing is, the larger part of the population doesn't visit forum's etc. and doesn't know the underlying battle even exists. So, basically they'll see a PS3 and buy it.
I have to say though, from when I heard about the PS3 in the first instance to seeing the FIRST gameplay footage - when it's supposed to be RELEASED is less than thrilling.

Your not alone on that one but we surely are outnumbered.Nintendo lost console fans becasue they had loyal but logical fans who realized their product with the gamecube was less than stellar.xbox was the new kid on the block and starting to build a nice fanbase but still is falling short to our next company to be mentioned.Sony...boy oh boy sony fans are morons.they care not if the customer serivce sucks,care not if product reliability is there, they are like zombies most of them atleast.ps3 is the nintendo wii and the 360 thrown in a melting pot half-a$$ed into a game console. Their fans dont care,they will speak of progression and not copying. i would undertstand that argument if sony fans didnt bash both the 360 and nintendos consoles only to borrow from them. the ps3 is the fish story where everytime it was told the fish got bigger and bigger. Now that the truth is out sony fans keep telling the story like we cant see the fish for ourselves.uve got many others on here who dont care what the facts are they just talk up the ps3 day in and day out.i like the 360 but i dont want people to buy it cause i like it,its just the best deal and as capable as the ps3 if not more capable. Xbox live cant be touched,for the fact of the matter sony didnt even improve their online service like they said they would. u'll see its just pointless to argue or debate these issues because as jay-z said(im sure he got this from someone else but dont know who so)...."wise men dont argue with fools"

Do you want to know my theory? Sony took so long to give news on the PS3 beause they wetre waiting for Xbox 360 to be released so that they could copy them and make their version (the PS3) even better, eg, the PS3 hadnt had any news released about how many CPUs it has got, but when Microsoft announced Xbox 360 had 3 CPUs, about a few weeks later, Sony announces that their PS3 will have 8 CPUs. Personally, Im with Microsoft and their xbox 360, all the way baby. Some reasons for this vote would be the HUGE price difference: the premium Xbox 360 was only around 300 pounds/dollars and the 60GB PS3 cost friggen 600 dollars!!!!! (not to mention that Sony copied Microsoft's idea for a core pack and a premium pack) So now I come to my conclusion: Sony are little copy cats that cant get their own ideas so they copy to win the competition, which is a tad out of order if you ask me. Guaranteed, next time the next next generation consoles come out, microsofts gonna have the winning edge.....

MS is definently dominating sony to this pooint at e3. sony didnt wow nebody in a positve way that is and MS is wowing people with their killer new lineup of games ane etc.

ive heard lots about ps2 having the best games which is why people preferred th ps2 to xbox and is why they are getting a ps3. one of the games that is constantly mentioned is grand theft auto and boy oh boy have microsoft stuffed sony over. 360 exclusive. lol

sonys is basically forcing the hand of their customers to get the premium package because of how much is missing from the core package. atleast MS made it a tough choice and u didnt get screwed if u got the core package,looks like if ur getting a ps3 u better be ready to spend $600.i may be wrong about this but the ps3's hard drive is internal...thats gay!!!are sony fans dissapointed?if not tell me why im just curious and im not trying to offend anyone

its not really a dissapointment. the price is comfirmed, i have no hdtv let alone 2, and the controller is its old design (i just hope its a bit larger.) untill the subtraction of the features like the memory card and wifi are confirmed losses for the low-end, then ill stick to it. hell the high end is 600, comes with wifi, 60gb hdd, 1080p, bluray, and xdr ram + much more. the 360 high end has none of that, and only 20gb hdd (a 100 dollar in-store 20 gb hdd!! wtf!) for 100 less. hell the wireless adapter for 360 plus a premium system is 500, and a next gen drive will make it pass well over 600.
so which gamer side is going to get gyped the most cash in this run of consoles?
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

anubis u amaze me, u cant face reality that sony failed to promise what they said they would time in and out.u hype any and everything sony does its kinda pathetic.they brought nothing new to the table they kept some of the old and borrowed everything new from the two other consoles. sony's the follower of the group this time.i cant argue this with u cause as long as the sony name is on the console seems like u'll defend it to the death. 600bucks for a console that is about equal to the 360 just isnt justifiable but im sure u will go on spreading the word of ur mesiah...(Sony).at that price sony will have to sell 8gms per console just to break even which u are a gamer and u only have 15gms uve accumulated in 6 yrs.

wahh... original ps controllers? thatll b aiightz, i guess. very comfortable. but to stick with the same design for 4 consoles (psp has the grip for it :P ) is a bit... bad. i like the original controller, but a sorta MORE comfortable on will be better, if possible :S .
im disappointed that ffxi is getting released on 360 :( . apart from that and DOA, cant think of any games for me to play. theyre also releasing perfect dark on 360... should be on Wii :(
ill get the ps3 for the rpg games ^_^ . i see the ps3 as a rpg console, 360 for the rest, and Wii for ZELDA (i kno its gettin released on Wii. if not, VERY disappointed)!!!!!
im guna stick my nose outta here until ps3 ACTUALLY comes out. THEN im going to start pcking on it :P . until then... work :(

im happy that ps3 has decided to bundle the ps3 with a 60G HARDDRIVE!
also one more thing blueray $999.99 and a ps3 $599.99 that's way better deal than people think.

i admit they failed to live up to what they said, but i aswell as you probably all agree it needed a gradedown to nessesity to save cost. a guy at e3 was playing a ps3, demonstrating the controllers 6th axis for things like camera control. so the ps3 is playable here at e3, but publicly?

well, i would never really pay 1000 bucks for a blue ray player b/c for me its nothing new, i got everything i need from dvd, its not like vhs to dvd that was a difference but this is just stupid. as for the price of the ps3 being 600 well i predicted somewhere around that and i am now glad to say that i proved anubis wrong with his price of something like 399. but i have to say although i will not be buying a ps3, it still has some awesome looking games, maybe not killzone 2 but still very good, but the same goes for xbox 360 and also wii which i have to say looks awesome, check out the new zelda game for wii.

LOL :Anubis66 Dont listen to that mess they tryin to play Damage control for Microsoft because they have failed.360 got beat at there own game.Microsoft was looking to make a Gamesystem Sony mayde a entertainment system.Also the PS3 will have a add on FOR TIVO.There is a reason thats Sony been king for over 10years.When i look at the 360 i would not take it if it was free because the games look just about the same as X-Box games only in High-Def.If you think Sony failed then your crazy and dont know anything about game consoles.LOL the Processer for the PS3 is going to be in home PC'S for cryin out loud.i find that 360 lover has only complain about the Controler on PS3 if thats the only thing they got to argue then thats real sad.I have not heard one person say that the 360 got this or that over the PS3.All the MS lovers do is Bash the PS3 because they bought a shell of a system.

i reckonz sony made a smart marketing move. how the heck can u copy a Blu-ray disc? in time, obviously. but for at least... 1 year u gota buy the games from the shop rather than download them. and by the time u buy all the games u want and they release a burner, its like... meh :P

Two words from E3 end this entire thread.... "HALO 3"!
No matter what system you preffer you can't deny the marketing and gameplay genius behind the greatest game ever made! There were probably more copies of Halo, and Halo2 sold in the past 3 years than PS2's it's entire run!

although i agree that halo 3 will be an awesome game i highly doubt that halo and halo 2 sold more than the ps2 b/c ps2 sold over 100 million and xbox only 25 million or something, so if 22 milluion people each buy a copy of halo and halo 2 you will have 44 million copies sold, which is way less then ps2 sales.

If you buy a PS3 for 600, add a controler add tax, add games (3 at a min. of $60) and add any other addons and you have dropped Right at a $1000 for a game system. I will build another pc for a $ 1000 before I will pay that much for an overhyped box.
