another reason they had supply problems is because they dont manufacture their own chip, which is an advantage sony + ps3 ..
i wouldnt say anubis is a fanboy to be honest,id say he's a loyal fan, but not a fanboy. it really isn't nessecary to throw that out like neph said, cause thats how threads get closed down because they become irrelevant. And rabbity if hes a sony fb you're a ms fb. I am not saying you are, however if u consider him one, then you would have to look at yourself as well and how you back up arguing 360.
Ill honestly buy the ps3, and if they come out with good games for 360 or weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ill buy that as well..
i bought an xbox for ninga gaiden(im hardcore ng fan)
and i bought gamecube for metroid(oh yea baby!)
so i don't have a problem getting one, its just right now, errmm, i don't see anything i want outta 360.

Joeva, i would not just call someone a fanboy for anyold reason, i have been on this forum for about 6 mounths, and seen basically every post since then that anubis has done. and from what i have seen i know he is a fanboy, but i have to admit that he has turned the fanboy level down a little since a couple of mounths ago. i would call myself an xbox 360 fanboy except i dunno if a fanboy can own all three consoles or is going to own all three.

from what i know he does not own an xbox, as he always said he went to his friends house to play halo 2, whcih tells me that he did not own one,

Is it possible to keep fanboyism out of the discussion???
I mean it's should be possible to argue form both stand point even to set aside bias. I'm a sony fan boy but i know that it is impossible for anyone including sony to overcome all obsticles iron out all bug and meet manufacturing quotas at launch. They didn't with ps1 or ps2 and they had problems even with psp. So what we're expecting a ps3 miracle ok fine let all start hoping that they drop the price by atleast 50 bucks before launch. :)

wow u know if they dropped it 50 bucks i think some ppl would give it a bit more of a glance. that enoyught to thru in another controller and something elso for the same price, and it will look cheaper to the masses. doesnt 449 and 549 seem much softer to the eye? lets hope i guess, aha.
and with the whole fanboy thing. i've stated the fact that if i saw something in the 360, i would probably get it. if halo 3 pwnz life, and a few other games like alan wake are exclusives now..i really wanted alan wake (i guess ill get it for pc)..then i may get one in time. right now, sony seems to be fufilling my needs with 1080p, wifi, more games in my favorite genres, and the tilty controller. you know..if the tilt sensoring is a big hit, dont u think ms will take a sales blow? but it could also be a flop (which i highly doubt because it intrigues me as well as any to imagine flying a plane with the ps3 controller. a flightsim would dominate.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Personally the tilt function doesnt look too great. I mean when that guy was playing the warhawk demo the tilt functions look kindof hard and cumbersome to use.

you really thought that? did you see the deemo where the ps3 controller pops out of a box, then he controllerd a duck in water. it looks extreeeemly intuitive. tily forward tead forward, tilt left lean left. even diaganals work with it.

The vibrate function was a very important feature that I fell in love with about 10 years ago. Taking that out is like a very big thing, I think, to most gamers. It takes the games feel away from it.

yeah ill miss it too. it was nice in games that barely let you know you've been hit by bullets. whent it vibrates im all "omg duck and cover!" but without it im all "huh..my health omg wtF!!ahhhHH"
but hopefully something will change, or a vibration addon for the usb charge port on the controller that wraps around ur wrists and sakes so as not to mess up the tilt sensor.

The dual shock wasnt left out because of negligence, but you cant have the controller shaking while it has a new tilt function it doesn't make sense. it would interfere with a lot of games. I look for a dualshock to be realeased later on that will have a tilt-dualshick button.. so that when u turn dual shock on, tilt is off and when tilt is on vice versa. give it time, the system isnt even out yet and you are trying to bash its kinks, 360 is still ironing out theres so take it easy.

I like the vibration in many games, but sometimes it got outta control and I just wanted to turn it off.I like a little vib to let me know when i'm hit or for feeling the machine gun feedback...etc.But not a freakin rocket ship lol.
I'm just glad we didn't get stuck with the boomerang and that we also got a sensor thingy.Hopefully we will get vib via add-on, but It really wasn't a selling point for me anyways.

a add on dual shock doesn't make sense conceptually to me. they'll just release a controller that either has dual shock or has an off button for tilt/dual shock

i have to say even if nintendo fails in this next gen war we have upon us, it would still have made the way for a new style of gaming, i mean the wii controller, have extreme motion senering, a built in speaker and also rumble, what alse would you want?

HAVE YOU SEEN how rubbish ps3 is now. now they are using the old joysticks just wirless (just like xbox 360, and it has an extra button to bring up a meun (just like xbox 360), it has a type of play and charge kit (just like xbox 360) ps3 has online that near enought a clone of xbox live (just like xbox 360).
so bacically ps3>> (just like xbox 360)with a few extras
i think they should have stuck with the boomerange joysticks, then maby i would have got a ps3 , but now anymore i think the ps2 controllers are so uncomftable and these controllers havent even got vibration coz it interfears with the anlog stick signels, even though the xbox 360 has 6 axis anolog sticks with vibration. o well.
so i dunno, if i could still use the boomerange joysticks id buy a ps3.
