i knw this is not with topic, but i jst worked out hwo much in dollars the ps3 will cost here in the uk and it came to 803 dollars, thats 425 pounds. i hate the fact that we get charged more than everybody else.

erm no . an xbox 360 game is america is around 30 pounds, an xbox 360 game in england is £50!!!england gets charged a lot more with taxes!

umm not sure what exactly you mean, are you saying i am correct or wrong. i think you have just assumed that i live in america right.
rikjames - an xbox 360 costs here 280 pounds which is around 530 dollars.

i dont consider myself praising the ps3 because its not out yet. i find myself praising the idea of the ps3, as in what sony showed will come. i understand nothing is final untill its released, so if they remove something like an extra hdmi port or 2x usb (i dont even use more than 4 on my pc) then it doesnt bother me because did i ever have it? was it ever truly promised? no. the final specs ment out till e3, so anything said, rumored, and so on should not matter.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

even though most of the games are on 360 aswell
well ok mr cool whatever. honesdt. but xbox 360 has an advantage , it has the new grand theft auto and halo 3 coming our only on it and not ps3.

Hey i feel it for the you all in England. Here in Jamaica we'll have to pay about $750-$850 US for PS3. $50000-$56000 JM. and $70-75 US. $4600-$5000 JM per game. that not including tax which is about 16 1/2%. That why smart me is gonna preorder the PS3 (and maybe two or three more to resell if i can get all that cash)and take a trip back to the States to get it/them.
Out here Xbox almost doesn't exist i have a cousin who cried when he got sold it to an arcade (game shop as we call it) and bought a PS2. majority of gamers are either PC or PS2 (mostly PS2). PS2 is so strong here that I've spoken to person who told me that they'll keep it well into the life span of PS3. It's not the cost of PS3 that's gonna deter them it' that they love PS2. So when PS3 is in full swing it will inherit all that love here moch like Japan where Xbox360 is Flopbox zero degrees.
No offence to 360 owners but thats how it is and American console struggles outside of the States. Personally i love it but hey to me nothing better than PS2 but PS3.
That's why Sony deos as they please cause they know even if they loose in the States (which is very possible) they have more than enough global support to out sell 360 without a doubt. So when the war is in full swing it will be a world war and sony will already have soldiers in just about every corner of the world.

Damn George bush messing up our international reputation!jk, i never get why people HATE MS it makes a high quality product but people for some reason love Sony after all the suspect things they've done.Well, thats life i guess but i still love my "flop box".Cant complain when they bring a product of equal or better quality than the ps3 a yr before sony could get it done.

well i dont think its too bold for me to say that if sony took ms's approach and say left out the blu ray drive and hdmi port that they could not put a console on the market at the same time ms did. the 360 and ps3 are at times similar yet very different. there meant for different consumers. sony really has made efforts to make the ps3 into a multimedia platform. Also give sony some credit for the extra time that they are taking, so far their online envirnment has had a facelift, motionsensor controllers, graphics look great, oh and it doesnt hurt being the only true HD platform.

That's funny lol.I live in florida and jeb bush(gorge bush's brother)is governor here but niether have absolutly anything to to do with games.

you know how the new controller doesnt have vibration? well immersion is offering to sony to help figure out a technolagy that will work. i dont know if sony will agree because 360 fanboys would be all "omg omg they decided to have it now they lied omg" and because sony is keen to not wanting to ever have to pay licensing fees ever to anyone (atrac, beta, bluray, cell, dual-shock, etc.)

Well taxes are a real pain it's 16.5% on products in store but before that we have the import duties and that 25%+ depending on the product. So it's kinda crazy. If you buy something though and bring back you then ya dont really pay that much.
But yeh the weed sometimes even free (seriously)
Back on topic:
Wow that rumour came back. Unbeleivable I'm glad sony commented on it before it got too out of hand. That would be the worst decition in the PS3 campain.
Btw did you'll see the poll on gamefaqs today it has to do with this same rumour.

well if sony did ever do the you only bye the licence thing, i would no get another playstation console again, and im sure a lot of people would be on my side. playstation 3 really has downgraded itself now, i mean now they use the normal joysticks, they copy ms, and ow this licence thing. if they done this no one would buy the ps3.

@glitchzoo umm gta4 is coming out on both systems. also i was in a rush for my last post what i meant to say as...... the ps3 has great sequals with excellent stories and alot of them. but the x360 has only masseffect, gow, prey, and halo3. also the ps3 has much better hardware as we've seen in sonys past games look horrible and later look GREAT such as ff8 for the psx. and shadow of colassis which looks better than some x360 games so if the games look good now imagine 4 years from now.
