See this is how i know you a newbie they was going to never release the system in the spring or summer if you know what you talking about this is the dry time for the gameing market.What you dont know is Sony had the Tech for Blu-ray for five years.LOL they are not lossing money on the Blu-ray they want you to think that.Why cause they want you to feel that they are priceing as best as they can(Marketing Strategy).LOL they never gave a release date for PS3.Sony has been very tight lip about there PS3 only the inner circle @ sony & game designers know whats really going on.If i worked @ Sony answering phones do that mean i know whats going on within the company..........NO.lOOK UP THE WORD Speculate thats you problem you baseing things off Seculate.As for Xbox, sales are Horrible in Japan(i forgot to add that).In saying all this PS3 will cost more than 360 no more than 50 or 100 dollars.But went the smoke clear PS3 will have sold more the 360 in two years because there will be a system short on release date.

what a numb nut you be....newbie you reckon?.....i never professed to claiming i knew this and knew that,i read credible articles,which is a darn sight more than what you seem to be doing,apart from knocking others...the PS3 WAS announced to be launched in the spring(USA)they ran into trouble,having difficulties with their hardware...blu ray may even be scrapped by sony yet,and it hasn't been in sony's sight for 5 years-Blu-ray,just shows exactly how much you know...and another fact...game designers are starting to think sony's hardware may well become a major headache,you just want to be ignorant of the fact that sony have stuffed up this time...BIG TIME,but like i said i like both platforms,sure the first xbox was big and bulky,but hey i was a happy chappy,also quite happy with my PS2....i also have the xbox 360,sure there was teething problems,but unlike sony,microsoft replaced on the spot,i'm also pleased with the xbox 360,i look forward to seeing the PS3,but at this stage i'm straying off it for awhile,as they seem to be running into problem after problem,and may lose support from some major developers,once again only "speculation" and i actually do honestly believe it is going to be more expensive than what the xbox 360 was...
and as for you saying spring and summertime being the dry period what a load of bull$hit,thats when most console gaming takes place,it's what YOU call a marketing ploy,because the gamers in the european countries and the united states are on vacation....(summer)

Bro you are a Num Nuts lol Why are most Gameing conole release during when Chirstmas Holiday i rest my case.You base everything you say off Spec wait and see first you do know just like most sites dont know.You can't live with the truth and it hurt, you base all you statements off of Spec how bout finding when you get it first then you will know.People like you need to stop spreading trash like you puting out on this tread.Please tell me how a site can be credible you dont know what fool wrote the trash.Please tell if Familys on Vaction what are they doing Traveling so that mean a kids not going to be at home This is a fact pick up a gameing Mag & tell ME why big titles dont come out in June-Aug.Only sports title EX:Madden & NCAA FOOTBALL.Your tag say member because of Posts not what you know which is very litle(GAME CONSOLES).

OK....so your saying the C.E.O of sony is blowing all these specs out of his backside??what the hell are you talking about,what drugs are you one son...what school do you go to,and what part of the world are you from?NOV-DEC is the best time for world release of everything concerning consoles,seasons are about to change...i belive it's spring time over in the european countries and the USA...well approaching that time,so come NOV well it's an ideal time to release something big like the new PS3

its funny that you mentioned that only the people who work for sony and game developers know the real deal about the ps3.i mean your exactly right about that. since you said that and all im sure you have read about how they fired one of their top employees whos been with the company for a little while becasue he gave the ps3 a bad review saying that the development was botched and things of that sort. soon after Sony fired him and ordered him to remove his article offline so that says alot for your argument.truth is people on the inside have been bashing it in harsh and sensitvie way. cell designer for ps3 says its incredibly hard to develop games for so with that in mind sony might lose that whole game edge over Ms that won last console war for them. Ms has XNA which game developers say is amazing and makes devloping games so much easier.

Strange you say that the PS3 is incredibly hard to program for. I've heard quotes that it is easier to get the hang of than the PS2 was, granted this was from a developer from Guerrilla games( owned by Sony).
And as for development. The xbox should have shipped with a HD-DVD drive as standard. MS cut this because of cost, to fool gamers into thinking the system is cheap. There will be no option whether to get one or not when the best games start being released on a new format. Current 360 owners without the money to afford the add-on will be left with a very last-gen machine.

@ cmk0121 yes i did read that but i was telling that last clown dont put to much into what you read.There are two sides to every story.As for the designer saying that it was hard to make games for PS3 i read that but that dont mean there not going to make games for PS3.How could MS win the Console war when they didn't sale that much in Japan which is the Biggest Market for video games.cmk0121 check the consumer report....

admittedly it was a half botched job for sure,it could of been handled differently,but this might also give you some insight of what to expect from SCE....now we all know what sony's reputation is like when it comes to customer care...

This is a response to the numerous quotes by MS fanboys stating how expensive the PS3 is. Yes it is but it is the full package, not the start of a Microsoft type building block set.

I am not one sided or biased at all, what I can say is I think Nintendo are for children and that is the console I ALWAYS hated from the SNES to the Cube and probably the revolution too.
I own many machines: Sinclair Spectrum 128K, Sega Mega-Drive, PS1, PS2, PC, X-Box. Played the 360 recently at a friends house so I know what it can do but I was not impressed and I never liked the controllers on either X-Box or the 360.
There will always be arguments and dickswinging contests over consoles but we should have learned by now not to beleive everything we read, especially on the internet or from companies trying to make money out of us all.
PS3 IMO will take time for games to develop into using the full capabilities of the machine (as will the 360). Just like the PS2 it will be under-rated. Statements like "Resident Evil 4 will never make it from GameCube to PS2, it's not capable, the frame rate will be shit" The next thing is RE4 PS2, includes 2 hours of extra gameplay and retains the full framerate and dynamic effects of the GameCube version. My point is nobody REALLY knows and the best judge will be to buy what YOU prefer irrespective of specs and hype and bullshit.
Even when we have them and we are moving on to the next next gen consoles (Dare I say, X-Box 720 or PS4) we will have this argument all over again and will probably still be having the same discussions about the PS3 and the 360 as well.
