my point has just been proven about you,you just skim over what you want to see and nothing else....for starters look at the name of the game developer....not well known for console games,in the terms of top end games...my personal opinion any rate...they also state that is only their opinion,not other game developers,as other developers use high end programming,and more than likeley more than volatiles programme efficiencies...did you notice the comment made by volatile about the 360....a draw back on the graphics video memory compared to M$ xbox 360......so their will be no doubt there will be teething problems to start with on launch for the PS3,sure the game developers will sort it out,if not it's no biggie for the game developers,they have secure employment contracts with M$...
it's a cut throat industry and sony may of bitten off more than they can chew this time,and stuffed themselves right up....only time will tell though...

Im finish with you your dumb and you prove it....LOL that game is going to be ported to Playstation also.THQ is the Developer meaning that this game mite be ported to all three systems.MS dont have the sole rights to THQ dummy.Im done with you why i waste my time with a scrub like you....lol Smackdown vs Raw 06 was on which system PS2 & PSP i dont see XBOX.Mean that it will port to PS2 or PS3 unless XBox buy out the rights and i dont see them doing that.LOL Clown thats one Big title compare to how many countless Big title going to lauch with the PS3...my Point again.Im not a XBox hater i just hate missinformed people like you Clown.

i couldn't agree more with you...i like all the consoles made,some i have gotten rid of,to this day with regret,the sega,snes, and the commodore system i think it was called,the only game console i never owned was the cube,i currently own the PS 1,PS2 xbox and the xbox 360,ohhh and i mustn't forget the good ol sega mega drive,ohhh them days *S*.
what i'm trying to point out to the forum clown,just seems to be skimming right over his thought proccessing centre..he/she just can't accept what has bee written about the upcoming PS3....sure it's been written by critics,etc, but whats an industry with out them,it is there to guide consumers,notice i said guide,as the final choice comes down to the consumer...now if all the gaming review crews have reported the same repetitive thing,there must be some sound proof to their statements....

MY GOD!!!!! you really are DUMB,i'm sorry but i do have to say it,i was merely pointing out that companies that didn't want anything to do with xbox with their exclusive games to PS2 are now moving over to xbox 360....in NO WAY did i IMPLY that THQ or YUKES had swapped their exclusiveness to M$...i just pointed out that as one example,and by the way THQ don't have total exclusive rights either,they are contracted by the man himself....vince mcmahon from the wwe..if you was well informed as you say you are,did you know vince was suing jakks-pacific?? bet you didn't,over a contractual breach....now as to whether he pressed on i honestly can't say,as after the initial announcement,everything went quite.

@ Samuels Yes mate it was the Commodore64 I'd guess he he, they were the good ole days!
I could make up unproven rubbish all day AND post links to back it up with but it wouldn't make any difference to the opinions of a lot of people. If you are biased you are biased and it's unlikely you will be swayed.
Whatever happens development wise the developers will have work from one company or the other. I also subscribe to the methodology that developers learn much more, much faster these days and they will soon be really kicking butt on all the next gen consoles even if they are struggling at first.
Back on topic, I see the PS3 UK price as being £499 minimum and possibly as much as £799 given the so called cost of the the Blue-Ray drive. Even after reading all sorts of reports on price. We always get our arses robbed as compared with the USA and Japan. I waited before and it paid off every time so I'll wait again for prices to drop and games to get better. My guess is the price will drop quite quickly in the first two years to help fend off competitors.

yes,i did the same with the PS2 and the first xbox,i timed it right with the xbox...but not with the PS2 i forked out $649.00AUD,that was at a reduced price too(bundle pack that they offer),about 6-12 months after launch(ps2)...didn't quite wait long enough with that one....all though i noticed the other day,that sony have no plans of reducing the cost of the PS2 any further than what it is now,if they decide too it will only be in the vicinity of $20.00USD,
i didn't wait for the xbox 360...well i did *L* about a week after launch i got mine,i was impressed with what M$ came up with this time,so didn't wait...$649.00AUD (incl HDD),no doubt after the smoke has cleared i will get the PS3,and as you said wait a couple of years for the price to come down :)

yes....although i must say,i realise statistics show that console gaming is now being played by 28+ Y.O's now worlwide,*L* i'm a lot older than 28,but M$ with their next gen console,haven't much in the way of kiddies games,as i have 2 youngins,i think they have focused too much on the older generation for games,i asked our local EB if there was any future release games for kids,his response was, no,not really,maybe just a few..so i don't know,where as sony cater for all ages,well at least up to the PS2,i don't know what the games plan is for kiddies with the PS3

Ms just signed 4kids network to develop games for them abnd nickledeon or something of that nature so they are going for the kids this go round...check out teamxbox.com and u'll see if you scroll through they are signing a lot of game developers

I think there will be some great games available for younger gamers but it will likely be the Nintendo Revolution that has the best titles for younger gamers.
Problem is that $ony and M$ realise that the money is not with kids. It is with us, the adults, we are the ones who are hooked on technology and games and have the cash to pay for it. I am 27 myself (Funny you said 28, as I will be at the end of May), I don't have kids though.
They want to suck in the hardcore gamers who buy a game every few days and maximise their income from them, but they know that the kids are already hooked on the games anyway and will torture their parents for the money to buy them so ultimately it will be the adults that pay either way. I also reckon that most kids don't want kids games, they want adult games so you get tortured.

*L* how true,very well put,my 3 YO daughter loves to play smackdown Vs raw with me on the PS2,she plays kameo on the xbox 360,*L* not very well,but she tries....she loves the original xbox game,simpsons hit and run,being backward compatible,she thinks she's cool playing it on the 360 :)
my son 1 and 1/2 years old,naturally has no co-ordination over the controls,but he has a go,i just let him go...*LOL* he likes the shoot em ups and war,he likes the bang of the guns,sounds irresponsible i know letting a 1 and 1/2 YO play that kind of game...but IMO it is only for a short period,as he won't remember when he's 5...if i keep a cap on how long he plays it now,it helps co-ordination i believe in developing children..it's my job to ensure what he plays when he's getting older....i can't end up having a 5 YO being a war hero on a games console...can you imagine the outcry from childrens welfare....:)

I personally don't buy the 'kids turn into monsters because of games and movies' thing. I think games and movies are fine in moderation (obviously limited to some degree) can be of great inspiration and learning for kids. Hand eye co-ordination, challenge and defeat, happiness and sorrow it's all in there, a huge host of emotions and abilities.
It could also go as far as inspiring them to become artists, programmers, Game developers, Movie writers and directors and all sorts of other interesting careers that some of us would love to do ourselves.
If a person is going to become a murderer or a rapist I don't believe that they need games and movies to get like that, it's in them and they would become anyway.

One detail that won't be revealed is the PS3's price, which is bound to cause frustration amongst gamers, but is actually a savvy media move. By withholding those details, Sony gains additional media attention (and a renewed burst of public awareness) when it ultimately reveals the price - likely at the end of summer or early fall.
All this is going to do is piss people off .. well done Sony.

well i did say in an earlier post,thats what sony is good at,pissing in consumers pockets,then expect us to buy their merchandise on their grounds,even though they do produce the goods in the end,but with quite a few changes from originally planned,but i suppose any company can do that...

for that artcile a few pages back that said ps3 wasnt hard to develop for u sony fans are really just reaching and it looks oh so bad. you take an article of one gaming developer saying its not hard to develop for over the actual cell designer who says it is.thats just ignorant,contradicting what the company is saying itself and listening to a random developer. Carmack(doom/quake) also said it wasa pain in his a$$ to develop for btu yet i wonder why we dont c that artcile up there. its on gamepro.com if you want to look at it im not going to waste the time to post it so u can come up with a irrational comeback about how ur right and the cell desinger meant something other than he said.thats like Peter moor,bill gates, and the guy who put together hardware for the 360 saying it's really hard to develop for and me coming out and saying no it isnt..typical sony fan trash
