yes have burned .iso image as should be done, no offence taken as i know what you mean a lot of people do burn as data dvd when they shouldn't do. the people who modded it are a little far out of the way, so that isn't an option unfortunately.when they get it back they can see for themselves and hopefuly it will be resolved.i don't know what else i can do other than update the Wii.i think it must be the chip, which i bought from games4play.com, and wish i hadn't now, lesson learned!!! will go update wii and see what happens. thanks for help though

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Usually means problem with the disk. I would clean the disk and try again. I personally run the disk under water and use liquid soap, then dry with a lint-free towel wiping straight from the center out.

Does your computer see the drive (can you open My computer and see it)?
Can you read a different CD/DVD through windows?

If so, check the PIO setting that is on the first 1-2 pages of this thread.

chippygtr, this bis a very common error which means that theres a physical problem with the dvd, just clean and try again. Be resilient

Did you install your drive properly? Eg. master/slave?
I havent heard any problems with rawdump with vista except that vista comes with frame network 2.0 which is well... a plus

I searched this topic and couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
I hope this is not a repeated question.

I bought an LG GDR-H30N. My undestanding is that if the prefix is GDR it will read the Wii games as that prefix is the kind of drives that read the layers correctly. Or is it only the drives listed in the first post?

Could someone tell me whether my drive can read Wii games?
Thanks.

Yep, that one will work. It is the newer version that is still in production. Funny thing is, people are still bidding on the old used ones from ebay for 50 bucks a pop, you can get these anywhere.

hello:
I have heard that the lg gdr-h30n will read the data, however I have that model and it will not read the data. I also have the lg 8164b
and it reads with no problem. So I would check if possible.

The rawdump firmware was specifically programmed for the LG GDR-816'' series to anything that has GDR on it or other readers would just be pure luck that they work. I would still recommend buying the old ones as they don't have any problems, i bought mine for $47AUD
