please can any1 help me, ive bought this drive 3days ago and ive not been able to use it for its 'purpose' lol

I have the same drive as you. It is an IDE drive.
Regarding Cable Select - To the left of the cable connection, you should see a section of 6 pins. You will want to place a jumper on the far left 2 pins. The jumper should be vertical. (See pic below.)
:::
^
| Place jumper over this group of pins.

You will not use the Convert Raw to ISO, that was used a long time ago. When you get your LG drive recognized, you will use Start Dump.

Open the folder that contains all of the files. Make sure you are viewing the details (In WinXP select View - Details).
Are any of the files smaller than the rest, especially in the middle. I used to run into problems where some of the rar files were not complete, and I would have to re-download a different rar file.

From it's fabric setup the Wiikey is turned off !! You have to download a Setup sdisc (that starts in 3.0 the older one from wiikey original won't !) and setup it !!
Wii + Wiikey = WiiFun :P

Thanks for your reply.
I downloaded 1.9b and burned it on a Verbatim +R DVD with imgburn at x4
When I slip it into my wii, nothing special happens.
What *should* happen when I enter the disc? Is there something to change in the wii parameters menu to accept these kinds of discs?
I'm beginning to think that the shop may have messed up when they soldered the wiikey.
Thanks!

hey, it takes about 20 minutes to burn a game, to rip a wii dvd takes about 2+hours, if you think bout it your not going to borrow 10 games at once anyway. wii brickblocker 1.3 isnt the latest but its a multi-language one, but im not 100% sure on that so dont quote me, im capped so not much researching. what about gamecube now?

just be a bit more specific, what console you running, firmware version, game region.
Are you saying that a backup copy of big brain academy will load on the start up screen in the wii menu but when you click start it will come up with an error?
Did you burn at 1x speed for better result? or you dont care bout that stuff? also make sure it wasn't a bad dump eg. wrong file size

What brand/model DVD drive are using to read the disc, and are you burning onto a +R or a -R DVD disc?

thnx for your help man, anyways i found out the problem, my motherboard does not detect IDE drives through bios, only SATA, so i had to get an IDE to SATA cable to connect, now its working,
one thing- if i wanted to back up a wii game that has already been backed up/burnt i wouldnt need to rip it would i? som1 told me i can just burn it straight- not sure though.. . . .

You need a modchip installed in order to play backups.
